I've been on Inmotion website and can't seem to find any mention of 'RS Midnight' other than the Voro Motors site. Why is this? And how many versions of this scooter has there been?
I have an InMotion HIllClimber - their build quality and throttle control are next level. For myself - going more than 23 mph is too harrowing. As it is I equip myself with an airbag vest, knee and elbow protection, steel toed shoes and full helmet. To many experiences with loopy pedestrians and rental scooter mayhem.
Im the 23rd person to like this video 😎 Im so glad you were able to do the Lite model as well. The results of the speeds were spot on with the Lite doing its Advertised speeds. Not a lot of scooters can do that, I was able to get 60 miles of range on my RS in Eco mode from 100% battery to 10% i then did another range test Off camera in Drive mode which is Gear 2 and at traffic speeds of 25Mph to 38Mph i got an impressive 36 miles of range in the same 100% to 10% battery. This is truly an incredible scooter. The best part is that as a heavy rider at 285Lbs i consider this scooter to be BIG DAWG Certified for every day commuting. This is a great review Paul. 😎👊
Honestly, Which one would you choose between the two, Segway GT2 or Inmotion RS lite, if the price is the same? I mainly want to use it in the city on asphalt roads 90% of the time, and in the rest of the time it should be able to handle gravel or dirt roads, I don't want to tune it, just use it without any problems, even in rain or frost, with proper maintenance. It would be important that it is comfortable, reliable and rock stable. Which scooter would you recommend for my height of 6.6 and weight of 207 pounds? Thanks for advise!
I can’t believe you’re posting this video right now. After a week of intense research, I’ve narrowed down to three scooters. The GT two, the RS and the RS light. Not a coincidence!
Can you please bring into discussion that the next generation of super scooters should hide its cables with removable covering like the emove roadster, inabling the customer to access the cable when when needed. Off roaders can have an open look, while street and bike trail riders may prefer options. I personally like my cables covered but with easy access. Thanks for your content, I've learned a lot, keep it coming.
i hear you. I wear Held Phantom II’s daily ($$$), but both those and my cheapie spare gloves were at home (other side of the Bay Bridge) when it was time to film this, so it was either delay the video by a day or just ride anyway. I really really don’t like riding without gloves. Thanks for looking out. Hands almost always hit the ground first! -Paul
Just used your discount code purchasing the RS midnight. Saved me $300! I can’t thank you enough! God bless you and keep rolling out the great videos.✝️❤️
I love my RS! I pre ordered mine way back last July and got one of the first 60 in the USA. Im putting Nami burn e 2 max shocks on mine today actually since its raining out. Hoping it makes the ride even better!
You're going to love it! I ran NAMI shocks on the yellow RS when I raced at RiderFest last fall. They're still on there! I need to put them back on the NAMI because we can't even roll it around in our workspace right now with no shocks on it! -Paul
Interesting. We did clock a slightly faster 2-direction speed run in the same spot with the same rider on the yellow one, but I attributed the difference to the windy day. Doing 2-direction runs like we do, will correct for headwinds and tailwinds of up to 5mph or so, but it was beyond 5mph that day. -Paul (oops! Wrong login! It’s Paul from ESG)
Thanks so much! I have a big goofy looking belt that can rotate forward, back or sideways. The rear shot it’s sort of tucked under my backpack. They make a backpack mount too (which I have), but I like that I can just grab this one and rotate it around my body between shots (and occasionally while riding). -Paul
I'm just glad they came out with a black one. I like the look of this one a lot more. I'm really impressed that Inmotion came out with such a good dual motor scooter on their first try! -Paul
I love this channels videos. They are so informative. I have been looking at the.Inmotion rs lite because it is on sale right now, but I also like the Nami scooters. What do you think about the Nami burn-e 2 not the max vs Inmotion lite?

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I've been doing a fair bit of research on this scooter and am confused: -it seems only Voro Motors USA sell the midnight editions? -the Inmotion Euro website has the yellow available (which they call orange?) and a casper blue but no Lite model -the inmotion USA site only has the yellow version -the inmotion world store website, has the RS in yellow and a haze blue and also the Lite in a genuine orange, unlike the Euro site and it looks awesome. I'm in Australia and your link above takes me to an Australian retailer but the discount code doesn't work and the Lite isn't available down under (can't even find it on AliBaba or Aliexpress). I'm trying to get it shipped over from the Inmotion main website but I'm pretty sure they don't deliver directly to Australia. Voro Motors USA, can deliver but they have severely inflated the price of the Lite in AUD, making it financially unviable. For less money I could buy the regular RS directly from the few Australian retailers available. Looking at all the different Inmotion sites, it seems to me that there are differences in the scooters particularly with the screen, which is why I asked my original question about differences with the newest releases over the original release. Thoughts?
I am thinking of buying a new scooter in that 3k area what do you think is the better performer the nami klima or the inmotion rs lite as far as performance goes
Thanks for your explanation and your review of these 2 e-scooters🙏. They look very similar. I was quite confused about what is the difference between Inmotion RS Midnight Lite and RS Midnight.
Yes. The app lets you adjust how much regen separately for front and rear. I went by that part fairly quickly in the video during the set-up, or maybe the specs section. -Paul
It depends. The Burn-E2 is slightly more portable because it has better handholds. I like the throttle response on the NAMI better. I think the RS is better looking and has better brakes. The RS is also more flexible in terms of easy customization for height. Same would go for Max vs RS. It’s really a tough call. They’re both amazing scooters -Paul
Oooh, that’s a good one! They’re very different. The tested weights at 74lbs for the Mantis and 120 for the Midnight Lite. The Ranges are 36.6 for the mantis vs 45.1 for the Lite Top speeds are close at 45.1 mantis vs 53.6 Lite Prices are very different at about $2,100 Mantis and $3k Lite. Riding-wise they’re very different too. The Mantis is 60V vs 72, so it’s veryquick, but not the same with a zero to 30 of 5.8s vs 4.5 The Mantis has huge advantages in terms of portability. One person can haul it upstairs. The RS has huge advantages for performance. Right out of the box the mantis is going to be better off-road. -Paul
apples to oranges i own a mantis king gt. have a little over 550miles on it so far. no issues. rides great and is quick, great for street or off road however as paul said definitely different category of scooter, love mine. but if you dont care about going off road a whole lot, weight or if price isnt a issue id go for the rs lite. myself im planning on my mantis king still being my main scooter which can fit in my suv easily vs the rs which i plan on leaving in my garage and not taking it anywhere.
Wow, I've been waiting for someone to review the Inmotion RS Midnight Lite! Thanks so much. For the price, this looks like the best electric scooter of 2024. How would you compare the value to the Kaabo Wolf King GTR.
It depends on your need for speed and range. If 50 is fast enough for you (it is for me), I think the Inmotion RS Midnight Lite is an amazing deal. The Wolf King electric scooters and the Wolf King GTR in particular are all amazing top speed per dollar, but I feel like the performance per dollar of the RS Midnight Lite might be even better, just considering that you still get 100% of the build quality of the full version. Do you have a scooter right now? -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks for the detailed response! I started off with a Xiami m365, but quickly moved on to a Segway ES4, then a Boosted Rev, I feel like I've had one of everything. I even had a Dualtron Thunder before picking up my Kaabo Wolf King. But I'm really thinking the Inmotion RS Midnight Lite might be my next scooter.
That's an amazing list of scooters, going from a Xiaomi m365 to a Kaabo Wolf King! Enjoy whatever electric scooter you choose next! -Paul from Electric Scooter Guide
Great video! Loved the ride through the hills and the commentary. This scooter looks like it rides like a motorcycle. The twist throttle is tough when off road riding.
I really like the price to performance ratio compared to the standard Midnight. I'm thinking competition wise, Kaabo, Nami, Apollo, Solar, and Segway, hmmm...
I'm wearing this huge belt that has the pole attached to it. It's jammed just under my backpack. I shot the speedrun by myself, so I had a ridiculous amount of gear with/on me! -Paul
Haze blue is the latest version, Got mine a couple weeks ago and it runs great. They put a thumb throttle on it instead of the twist throttle. No regrets with my purchase as I was deciding between this or the gtr.
Thanks so much! The FPV camera is new. It's a DJI Action Cam 4. The 360 camera is the same one, I'm just getting better at using it. It's crazy how much footage we end up with now. We're shooting a lot more of the stuff live and a lot more outdoors. -Paul
What is the break pads part number or style needed for an Inmotion RS Scooter? I need to replace my front and back disk brake pads and can’t for the life of me locate this information?
Yes, you can adjust the launch intensity separately for front and rear wheels and then can also select which mode and whether you want single or dual motors active. -Paul
Hey could you review the Gotrax GX Zero ares model? If you haven’t or if you have please tell me! I’m looking to buy it or by the emove touring but can’t find any reviews for the Gotrax model I’d want.
Good morning This video is absolutely perfect. The thing that I appreciate the most is your max speed test, which is done downhill (light) but also uphill, in order to get a clear idea of the machine. Do you think you can make a comparison identical to this one, between the rs lite and the nanrobot ls7+, but at 60v... You will ask me why compare a 60v and a 72v Simply because it seems to have the same top speed and in order to analyze the usefulness of taking a 72v or not. Excuse me for my English, but I am French and I use the translator
This speed run spot is very close to flat in both directions, but the wind was causing the big difference on this day. I don’t think we have a Nanrobot coming unfortunately. We should really get an LS7+ because so many people have tested it, but none have done a 2 direction run. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thank you for your prompt response . I must have been deceived by the position of the camera. Yes it would be good to be able to test the ls7+ 🙏... several tests at home seem conclusive. But the 72v model seems to be very disappointing, from the few videos that I have seen.... I am also wondering, if there is not a little lie, in the technical sheet.🤔
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide for sure however its range is very limited when going 40+mph. ive managed to only get about 12 miles going over 40 before it drops into the 30s at full throttle. hope rs lite with its huge batter and higher top speed means i should be able to get 30 miles at over 40mph which would be fantastic.
anyone looking for a speed demon scooter that looks HELLA COOL please check out the RS Midnight LIne.... I currently have the Midnight Light and its an awesome scooter.....speed...looks...brakes..... thumb throttle for some may be a drawback.
Scares me every time, on every scooter. I don't recommend testing top speed on fast scooters! It's the only way to really find out how fast they go, unfortunately! -Paul
This scooter seems like picking smaller engine version of a car when buying at dealership. And thanks for including KM beside of miles when showing ranges. Just it would be nice if you do the same about adding conversations to kilos and other units of measurement. And a great video and also scooter does looks like great option for grand less. And I have question to for you. I was interested into upgrading from varla pegasus with solid tires to something better. And my requirements are to have turning lights on back and front of scooter, because I ride exclusively on roads and I often have a bag hanging on steering that is blocking my legs from completely free movement, and I don’t feel like other drivers will get the idea of waving legs as turn signaling. And second thing is I want to have removable battery to swap it on the go when I bought another one. I don’t have top limit and would like to see what is out there, because scooters that have turning signals are some under grand ones, and they are definitely not what I’m looking for. Any suggestions? I would be grateful for an answer. And I got idea for a video. How about you would check some older scooters and see how they’re holding up. And maybe you could buy it from facebook marketplace or other second hand selling places. I think that would be rather informative and interesting how they hold up. You could do it at different price reneges and maybe throw in some old kings like m365 and others? How does it sound? Keep what you’re all doing in ESG and thanks for reviewing scooters for this all time.
That's a great idea. We could trade our low mile scooters for high mile scooters and evaluate the high mile ones! The RS5 sounds like the closest scooter to what you're describing above. I think it would feel like a big step up from the Pegasus! -Paul geni.us/RS5MAX?track=ytr
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks for the answers! And I checked RS5 MAX and it does might be up to the job, but I can't find any informations about turning signals beside of it haves them. So are they only on back, front or on both ends? Is it visible? How does situation looks with it?
i would check out ausom gallop its basically a slightly older version of the rs5 but rebranded. its much cheaper at 1299 and you can find on sale for 1099 sometimes. swappable battery, top speed 37-40mph, turn signals dual motors, same screen and 10 inch tires.
Me neither... but someone has to figure out how fast they go. There's a scene I shot that didn't make it into the speed run where I was going to talk about this exact subject! :-) -Paul
@@cocoabiscuitsI agree it's something I would never do commuting but the adrenaline rush you get when you going that speed is an unreal experience so it's something everyone who owns a hyper scooter should at least try once
@@unboxtheworld5869 absolutely. I love having the ability to do that on my Nami Max but I also love just cruising in Eco mode doing 20mph or so too. It's my first PEV and it takes me by surprise knowing it can just pull ya in the top modes like that.
I go back and forth on that. There are definitely some scooters and some types of riding that I like twist throttles for, but I didn’t enjoy it on the race track because it left me with too few fingers to hold on with. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I'm waiting for my thumb throttle in the mail in the meantime. It's brutal when you panic if you grab the brakes the throttle stays on I feel.

Bro it’s a complete different experience riding a scooter. I feel like one of those dudes in star wars going 60 through the forest on them hover craft things. Literally
You have to keep in mind that these are two kinds of vehicles, totally different in their use. With a car you will never go where an E-scooter goes, apart from the tires and brakes purge from time to time, my full protection equipment, my E scooter cost only a few bucks a month for maintenance and recharging batteries so a lot of savings compare to what a car cost. Since I have mine my car and my motorcycle do sleep quite often in the garage. Having a powerful E-scooter allows you quite easily to ride in a group like the road trips made by bikers. This new way of personal trip is a true philosophy of life to share or not, you also can put it on the train, to go wherever you want, find local riders who will make you discover their region, doing this by car would be much more complicated and would require a much more restrictive organisation as you can imagine, I’m 65 years old and thanks to it I discover places in my region I did not even suspect existence thanks to applications dedicated to this type of electric engines that offer sites to discover in a fun way, in silence, without polluting and keep you in a good shape because doing off roads may, sometimes ,be really physically hard, So yes, it is expensive to purchase, but if you can afford it, it does not have to hesitate a second because the sensations of driving are unique. 😊 I hope that you will understand my English. From Paris, France, have a good one. Arnaud

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide C`est la bonne position, c`est d`ailleurs celle pratiquée en compétition 🙂
Do they both have Samsung battery cells?
Should be stated in review!
Would you recommend the Burn E2 or this scooter? Same goes for the Max and RS
It depends. The Burn-E2 is slightly more portable because it has better handholds. I like the throttle response on the NAMI better. I think the RS is better looking and has better brakes. The RS is also more flexible in terms of easy customization for height.
Same would go for Max vs RS.
It’s really a tough call. They’re both amazing scooters
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thank you Paul! Excellent video nonetheless!
My god zoom zoom I don't know if I would be able to hold on to that acceleration.
It’s a lot! -Paul
Can you please compare the RS Midnight lite to the Kaabo Mantis King GT? Thank you so much!
Oooh, that’s a good one!
They’re very different. The tested weights at 74lbs for the Mantis and 120 for the Midnight Lite.
The Ranges are 36.6 for the mantis vs 45.1 for the Lite
Top speeds are close at 45.1 mantis vs 53.6 Lite
Prices are very different at about $2,100 Mantis and $3k Lite.
Riding-wise they’re very different too. The Mantis is 60V vs 72, so it’s veryquick, but not the same with a zero to 30 of 5.8s vs 4.5
The Mantis has huge advantages in terms of portability.
Does the fault indicater supposed to come on while pressing the breaks?
Yes!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks. I got a lil worried something was wrong with mine
Thanks so much! -Paul
The rs and the rs midnight are the same but one is yelow and one is black?
Correct
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide man I really wish i could get one of these
Does it have regen ?
yes
Nice of Inmotion to think about people wanting to deadlift. 120 pounds is a good starting weight, very forward thinking!
I really like the price to performance ratio compared to the standard Midnight. I'm thinking competition wise, Kaabo, Nami, Apollo, Solar, and Segway, hmmm...
Thus is a solid option for sure!
Thanks guys so much for this! How’s the locking/folding mechanism? That’s my only deciding factor 😅
Once it’s set there are no issues!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide is it sturdy enough?
How is the insta pole attached for the rear shots?
I'm wearing this huge belt that has the pole attached to it. It's jammed just under my backpack. I shot the speedrun by myself, so I had a ridiculous amount of gear with/on me! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide looked great.
Is this the same scooter they call haze blue on their website? It says nun about a lite version so I’m confused thought it was the rs in blue ?
Not sure!
Haze blue is the latest version, Got mine a couple weeks ago and it runs great. They put a thumb throttle on it instead of the twist throttle. No regrets with my purchase as I was deciding between this or the gtr.
65 pmh on electric scooter not safe but speed oh man feels good and fun
It's terrifying.... but also kind of fun. I recommend not doing speed runs! -Paul
New camera? Footage looks great.
Email voromotors CS and they will assist you!
Awesome review! Thank you 🙏🏾
My pleasure!
wow you make great videos!! new subscriber
Thanks so much for your support! -Paul
Can you mellow this thing out on the bottom end . So its a little more beginner friendly .
We will take a look thank you!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks!!!!!
Good morning
This video is absolutely perfect.
The thing that I appreciate the most is your max speed test, which is done downhill (light) but also uphill, in order to get a clear idea of the machine.
Do you think you can make a comparison identical to this one, between the rs lite and the nanrobot ls7+, but at 60v...
You will ask me why compare a 60v and a 72v
Simply because it seems to have the same top speed and in order to analyze the usefulness of taking a 72v or not.
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
Thank you for your prompt response .
Is it single and dual motor?
Dual motor
I'm picking the Lite. First the price, 2nd I'm lightweight so just for that speed I'll be going fast lol
I really want to try one of these Inmotion RS scooters. They look cool.
Hopefully you can!
Hey Paul the discount code is not available. Is there an another code for the inmotion RS Midnight?

a rs lite would look great next to my mantis king gt
For sure. The Mantis King GT is such a great scooter! -Paul
Amazing video, thank you
Thank you! -Paul
anyone looking for a speed demon scooter that looks HELLA COOL please check out the RS Midnight LIne.... I currently have the Midnight Light and its an awesome scooter.....speed...looks...brakes..... thumb throttle for some may be a drawback.
That top speed is scary, even on smooth roads.
Scares me every time, on every scooter. I don't recommend testing top speed on fast scooters! It's the only way to really find out how fast they go, unfortunately! -Paul
I love the channel. But I don't know why anyone would want to go this fast on a scooter. 55mph on a moped is sketchy. Wow. This is wild to me lol.
I wish there was a way to find out how fast they are without doing speed runs! It's not my favorite thing to do! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I bet! Lol.
-Paul

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks for the answers! And I checked RS5 MAX and it does might be up to the job, but I can't find any informations about turning signals beside of it haves them. So are they only on back, front or on both ends? Is it visible? How does situation looks with it?
i would check out ausom gallop its basically a slightly older version of the rs5 but rebranded. its much cheaper at 1299 and you can find on sale for 1099 sometimes. swappable battery, top speed 37-40mph, turn signals dual motors, same screen and 10 inch tires.

damn, i would never ride a scooter at 60 mph
Me neither... but someone has to figure out how fast they go. There's a scene I shot that didn't make it into the speed run where I was going to talk about this exact subject! :-) -Paul
you should. it's fun. Like a motorcycle only standing.

ESG can you test the Hiley Scooter Series? Especially the Tiger 8 GTR
Hopefully in the future!
I got s1f coming and i own air pro form theses guys and u want a sagaway for better price get inmotion did not like s1 speed.
Twist throttle is super bunk on these
I go back and forth on that.
Where is rs mini?
RS lite is a smaller version!

120 lbs... That's about the same weight as me !
Nice!
That stem lock is the only reason I’d never buy that scooter.
Fair enough
Tbh I’m not surprised you’re not giving that stem lock any criticism, even you should know that’s that’s a bad design. How many times do you think you’d have to lower that stem before the screw lock fails? This channel really lacks any real deep dive into issues.

Who pay's 4k for a scooter 🙅
Many many people!
Bro it’s a complete different experience riding a scooter. I feel like one of those dudes in star wars going 60 through the forest on them hover craft things. Literally
4k, 60 miles per hour... Just buy a car at this point
You def can!
Arnaud
