@@jackjackyphantom8854 to me it seems people learning English would probably have the most trouble with the lack of consistency. There are more exceptions than rules. I think it's probably because there are so many language influences in English and it takes the rules from wherever the influences come from and mushes them together.
@@elijahhmarshall Yes I know, some vocabularies are directly taken from other languages and then in English u have like plural forms, Samurai for example become Samurais.
Oddly enough, I was born and raised in Indonesia, where people don’t speak English on a regular basis, but I speak English so fluently in school that my friends’ mothers thought I was a foreigner
Bravo Mark Lee. . .love to see his acts. . Im a Channel 8 geng maa....from RTS time to SBC to TCS to MediaCorp. . Im a Johor Geng maa. . Love majority of the Channel 8 shows n artistes...him, Jack Neo. . Lee Nanxing. .Ayoyo Chen Li Ping n many more!!!Steady laa!!!
I personally agree this, myself graduated from Chinese secondary school in Malaysia. Imagine how hard we study about classic literature, palaeography and translation and so on. In addition , calligraphy is part of our Chinese language study. So more difficult part is when you learn to write some Chinese word with proper calligraphy writing, unlike English sentences combines from 26 alphabet.
I gave up learning Mandarin and Japanese because of their 'symbolic character' for every word/character/expression. So, I dropped the classes and took Spanish for my next semester to complete the hours during my undergrad programme.
Present Tense - I eat a bowl of noodles. Past Tense - Yesterday I eat a bowl of noodles. Present Continuous - Now I continue eat a bowl of noodles. CAN WHAT!!!!! WHO SAY CANNOT???
Generally Mark Lee, the Singaporean-Chinese comedian diss about the complexity of grammar English, that involves various tenses, and as language that more of mother tongue, Hokkien or Cantonese or even Mandarin, these languages don't give a shit on these tenses, that the main reason Mark Lee can't take the stage jobs which involving English as the main medium XD because he just hate it
It's really the problem of English that he hates. Changing the format of verbs or nouns are stupid. It's the bad parts of old languages. Why, it does not pass more information. Two cats does not pass more information than two cat. Language like Chiness has same format Changing in ancient times, they abandoned it later.
Seems like it wasn’t his lack of literacy in English but rather languages as a whole. His concept of modifications within syntax is rather dull... Idk what the audience was laughing at but this is a really poor sketch.
MARK MY WORDS.... THIE LEE & LEE USED TO HAVE THE FACE LIKE SURFACE OF MOONS. HE TRIED HARD TO POLISH HIS FACE YET HIS ACTING STILL SO SO WAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA
Mark is too humble to say his english no good love his show
He plays one too many Ah Beng characters that people associate that to him. Same goes to Gurmit Singh

Wow!!! With sense! I hope to see more of Mark Lee
He has a point though English has too many intricacies.
The grammar is so complex!

I remember his song, Shao Nian Ying Xiong 少年英雄. That song was the shit!
But in fact, Mandarin is a far way complex language to study than English 😄😄😄👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
English has indeed harder grammar.

The tones make Mandarin so hard, and Cantonese harder. But I love to hear Cantonese people speaking.
The hard part in English is the grammar. Chinese there is no grammar so it's easy in that sense.

Omg, I have to agree with him, all these tenses are so irrelevant and annoying!

Fake laughter
真真假假... 爱拼才会赢
v wrong education channel. can't stand all the stereotype jokes. in present world such is sensitive and hatred provoking

I don't find it funny at all, cold joke.
That's because his chinese grammar is wrong! eat = 吃,ate = 吃了,eating = 在吃,不是吃吃吃
MARK MY WORDS.... THIE LEE & LEE USED TO HAVE THE FACE LIKE SURFACE OF MOONS. HE TRIED HARD TO POLISH HIS FACE YET HIS ACTING STILL SO SO WAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA
