Good boots can't make you play better, but bad ones can definitely make you play worse. To me, what makes a boot "good," is that it offers the least resistance to you. It works with you instead of ever holding you back.
@@sammyb23x the old Adidas predator.3, the heel lockdown was horrifying, anytime I went for a shot my heel would slide putting me in an akward angle for the shot/cross/long pass, that was a bad boot.
@@sammyb23x a bad boot is something we kinda can’t tell you cus we all have different opinions but sometimes you should find something you like and has good protection 😁 I hope I helped.
These modern top-of-line football boots are built more like track running shoes (light weight, strong soles, good traction). The old football boots from ages ago were built with heavy uppers to protect the feet during a hard game. No wonder modern football players are getting foot injuries like metatarsal fractures more often. Less protection, more ball control.
My competitive playing days are done, but even back in 2014 switched from leather uppers to the Messi f50s that had synthetic uppers. The first time I got my foot stepped on in a game with those on it felt like a sword went through my boot. There was no protection up top. It was brutal. I could care less how light they were, I went back to a full leather and all was well.
As someone who has both here are my two cents: When it comes to the vapor 15's they are definitely more comfortable out of the box. The zoom unit really is a welcome addition that I hope will be continued in future models of the boot. When playing in the Speedportals, I would experience a bit of stud pressure that wasn't unbearable but was noticeable. When it comes to feeling of the ball, I get a bit more of a closer/barefoot sensation with the Speedportals. I believe this is because the upper is thinner. That said, the upper is a bit more "plasticky" so I don't really feel as though I'm getting a smooth 1:1 sensation around my foot like I do with the vapors. Overall, the Speedportal is a great boot however I am very delighted to see that Nike has been able to make a speed boot that is both comfortable yet provides great structure. I have only been wearing the vapors in training sessions but am looking forward to wearing them in my match next week!
Superfly 9 elites are really comfortable, played in them today. I highly recommend them 👍🏼 Playing in ultra 1.4/superfly elites currently haven’t tried adidas since the f50’s
