On what could've been a very special day Dave spent his birthday going through a very traumatic experience and for someone who made it through such a tough time one could really admire the strength of Dave and his mentality. The best thing about Dave is that you never catch everything on the first time round, it’s like a gift that keeps on giving the more you listen and find relatable experiences
One of the best lines in this is “I’m in Los Angeles driving a mercedes, which is pretty ironic because I didn’t think i’d see L.A (Double entendre as he’s also referring to a mercedes model, CLA).
It's perfectly okay to miss a bar every now and then on a first time listen of a song of his, I miss way more, but I have to point this one out because bar is just too good lol: the soccer referee and cards bar is actually a play of words about how he used to make money scamming/defrauding banks; "Every Santander (One of the biggest in UK banking - Dave used to commit fraud there, hence his pocket is full of cards (credit/debit cards) nationwide remembers me, right pocket full of cards I'm a referee."
