    Great little project, and useful too.
    Not sure about the screwdriver as a table saw push stick though ........ it would make a mess of the driver, the saw blade and you if you slipped!!!

    Instead I for buying seperate brass rod, threaded inserts and knurled knobs, you can use just simple brass screws and file off the heads and points as required, they’ll also hold the parts together better than a rod and CA glue.

    Looks great. I might adapt that for my wheel dish gauge (it’s a bike wheel building tool).

    Sanding with fine grit might take longer but you stay warmer 😁.

    Could you add a brass wear plate to the ends? I suppose you’d have to glue onto the wood before sanding the notch.

    neat and tiny, the brass makes it look shop-bought even! beter make more than one, or give it a designated spot! Such a small beauty might get lost quickly!
