I'll take this opportunity to say NO Chapstic is NOT a container. Asking if something COMES in a container, and if something IS a container are different questions, and in Bob's OWN ranting he killed his argument. If you spill soda on the floor, that soda is still soda. The soda is the liquid, not the glass/bottle. Same thing applies to chapstic. The chapstic is the solution, NOT the plastic.
@VotingHarmony Yes, because it's redundant to say it's a container when that's self-evident. You understand that it is [a tube of] chapstick without me telling you it comes in a tube. The only reason you would need to specify the container is if the container is not the typical shape you would associate with chapstick (i.e. a box). The issue is that regardless of what you would *call* the object, Chapstick as a product is specifically the stick of lip balm and not the tube it comes in. The manufacturer is selling you lip balm, not tubes to put lip balm in. So no, Chapstick is not a container.
@@celestialcowboy8337 Yes, but you can't necessarily just have the chapstick without the tube unless you order it specifically that way, or you take it out of the tube which is just as redundant as saying "chapstick container". The mass produced product is the tube of chapstick, so when referring to chapstick in a general manner you are referring to both the tube and the chapstick itself which technically makes it a container since it is more commonly the tube and chapstick together, and not just the chapstick by itself.
ChapStick and lotion are similar because both are used to moisturize a part of the body so i can absolutely see how mark and wade answer how they did, also the primary function of chapstick isn't to be a container it's primary function is the chapstick people don't buy chapstick for the container it comes in they buy it for the chapstick itself so i agree with Wade's answer for is it a container. Also it would make chapstick useless if it wasn't delivered in a container as it would dry out plus it would be very insanitary but that's the only reason the container exists so yeah the container is important in it's own way but it's not why you buy chapstick. Chapstick popularly refers to any lip balm "contained in a lipstick-style tube" chapstick isn't a container by definition it's the stuff inside the tube.
Chapstick is not a container. Chapstick is inside a container, but chapstick is not itself a container. You put on chapstick, you do not put on a container of chapstick. Also I keep my chapstick in the bathroom so I can put it on before bed when it will actually have a chance to promote healing, what the heck are the rest of you doing?
Container is a part of it, it is NOT a container so it was fair of Wade to say it is not a container. And Bob did guess lotion and sunscreen, which also always come in a container, but no one would ever say yes to a question of whether or not lotion is a container. A container is something you can put different kinds of things inside of. "Is it a container" and "does it come in a container" are two distinctly different questions and consider very different items.
For anyone who wanted to have fun trying to figure out what the things are, AVOID THE COMMENTS!! It's real easy to find out what they're trying to guess when you look at the comments for the answers.

Chapstick is, in my humble got-an-english-degree-but-it's-not-my-native-language opinion, a product USUALLY associated with the container. Chapstick is specifically a tube-shaped container filled with lipbalm, and has reached that level of popularity where it has almost suplanted the very concept of other ways to keep and use lipbalm.
i honestly think wade made chapstick a perfectly fair answer when he said ''it contains one thing''
Love how we all know how wrong Bob is about the chapstick
Boy, Wade really could not give a straight answer to save his life.

This is honestly just Bob's karma for how he screwed Mark in the episode prior
Yes, also how he killed his own argument: he guessed lotion, which usually comes in... Yes, plastic containers 😅
Yes, but if you saw the container you would still call it the same thing wouldn't you? You don't say "Chapstick container"

How did no one call out mark for saying “Wheelbarrel”
Chapstick is not a container. It comes in a container, but the product itself is not a container.
this is the chapstik bit episode isn't it?
23:53 I love Mark's shock.

Who keeps chapstick in the kitchen 😭
I keep one in the everything drawer in my kitchen but I'm probably an outlier 😅
Wade does
My issue with the chapstick is that I wouldn't keep it in the kitchen, bathroom *maybe* but not in the kitchen.
I think chapstick can be referred to correctly as either material or an object

Indeed it is!
@nejishadow thank you
I had to put shapstick on after this.
I thought for sure it was deodorant!
Did he not ask if it comes in a container?
Jesus Christ
