@thepressleygirls Corie you and Austin need to come out to the hawk watch with me this September. You'd love it. Hundreds of Broad-winged Hawks passing over the Ridge. Vicki from Ventures Birding usually is the team leader.
And let's be honest Red-tailed Hawks are the loudest and largest hawks in North Carolina. Buteo jamaicensis. They're not hard to miss if you know what you're looking/listening for.
Edit: but I still like that nickname for Corie 🙂

Hey y’all 👋 I know you’ve mentioned mountain lions or big cats often in your videos . If you look up Tennessee wild life. They have documented several cougars have come back . They were eradicated in the 1900s however they are back in our North Georgia Mountains and we have seen some down here in the valley. The bears are back also as the Georgia wild life states and many in our neighborhoods have seen them . Also, don’t laugh . But Tennessee wild life says many Alligators 🐊are back as well . They are migrating from Mississippi. I am in North Georgia close to the Tennessee River close to Chattanooga. They have pulled alligators 🐊 out of the river . Just research it if you’re interested.

About your love for Creek and how u speak of your love for your home area, once u said would never want to leave and live anywhere else, has that changed or if perhaps marriage comes into play would Nick move to your area as Austin? He could always build another house on property near your family. As close as you and your family are two hours long way to enjoy close family life
Can't imagine you all not settling closer so as to not miss out being able to havethat especially with Corie. I can how much your mom& dad missed the change after C&A were married and they are only 15 minutes away and u guys see each other often. Life is short to miss so much time..
You don't talk much any more about your jewelry making, has fishing and Nick replaced this seems u are like Willie Nelson on the Road again to destination Hayward County!
Girls-do the extravagant date nights before you have kids. I do most of my date nights at home with my husband because I am exhausted by 5:30pm. We pick up food, watch a show and relax in the couch. But the times we can get out of the house together are so fulfilling and refreshing. It helps us get away from the “to-do list” and just enjoy the special bond we have as a couple. And I think… one day it’ll be just us again… and that kinda makes me sad, happy and hopeful at the same time. We’ll be older, we’ll have grandkids…. Every season has it’s blessings and differences…
With the economy being the way it is today, any frugal ideas from your older relatives would be a great video. We forget how much our grannies have lived through.

I am glad to know of your relationship with Nick.......I didn't want to ask coz I thought you might have just been friends and just wasn't sure......You are both stunning and talented girls so if a relationship doesn't work out it's their loss and not yours.
I agree with Katie about salvation. I got saved at 8. But I didn’t get serious about Jesus until I got baptized at 12. Even more so at age 14.
I just love you young ladies you have been raised well and it shows. Treasure your mama and daddy and your granny they have made you who you are. Love that you had a treasured relationship with your pap.
Les Paul said it was his mom that made him think about making the electric guitar. Talking about how to make the guitar loud enough to be heard in the band, she said well if you could plug that wire in the amp like that steel guitar you might have something, The only electric was a Hawaiian steel back then.
They made me wait until I was 12 to get baptized. I was saved when I was 6 and didn’t want to wait so long to be baptized. And my mom was the children’s choir director and I had to wait until 3rd grade. My favorite Bible stories are Daniel in the lion’s den and the 3 in the furnace and Jesus saving the lost sheep and calming the storm. Love this video. I like Gospel and Appalachian music. We call it Early American in the Western USA.

Well, im 67 but LOVE rock, mostly Southern Rock. So..Lynyrd Skynrd, Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band. But also love Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Chicago, Charlie Daniels, Carole King, Vince Gill, Fleetwood Mac and ALABAMA!

The hawk thing isn't only in your circle. Today, I watched 3 Bald Eagles over my house for a few minutes. The thought went through my head that Corey would love to see them. I had to laugh at it. However, it was my thought. Bless y'all.

I came out of Kroger one day and there was a large spotted hawk sitting on my car. I was amazed! I got a picture of it. There are many hawks here in the Shawnee National Forest. I've seen bald eagles a few times.
men in the fiery furnace is my earliest memory of a bible story! all because my mother played tennessee ernie ford records and he sang about it. mom had to explain that song to me when i was probably 4 or 5 years old.

Omgosh! Katie sounds a lot like me. I grew up with a family of country music lovers… I am the only one who (while I love country music also) am a Rock-N-Roller at heart. I’m 58 still love concerts. Have seen BonJovi,Eagles,Def Leppard,and many more. I was so excited when I heard you weren’t going to see REO Speedwagon! I love them too but have never saw them. My cousins still pick at me…. When we were younger they’d say… you sure the stork dropped you off at the right place??😂

We live in Gainesville, GA and have spent a lot of time in Kingsport and Charlotte. My wife was born in Murphy in 1954 and grew up in Blueridge where her mom still lives at 95 on her own in the same house. Her brain works better than mine, haha. I love the area and like to eat squirel/dumplings, rabbit and deer. Yall are lucky to have been born in that area. We also like to rent cabins in the Blueridge area and north of Helen. Enjoy listening to yall!

I am so much older than you and possibly older than your Dad but i will be 70 in June and not being from the south, i am a Yankee from Massachusetts but i love the southern accents and the music, not so much the newer Country Hillbilly music, i am talking about the music from the 30’s all the way up to the late 60’s that’s where i believe that Country music started to change and the country artists nowadays really have forgotten the
roots of
Country Western Hillbilly music originated, have you ever admired Loretta Lynn, i saw the movie made about her and i got very misty eyed through the movie because she came from a fairly poor family and rose to stardom
I also think that both of you are absolutely precious and i just love the love you have for Nick, Austin and Olive

You gave your family history but i was wandering, as my great great grandmother was 100 percent cherokee---and yall being from murphy (cherokee country) .... Do you have any cherokee history in the family or even indian stories ? Hawks are spiritual animals ya know ? My first encounter with a hawk was in 2020 and from that day forward i encountered hawks at times the Holy spirit was trying to show me incredible truths about God. Love yall
