The Fellowship of The Ring series continues on Tolkien Tuesdays instead of Middle Earth Mondays! I swear it started as a joke but stuff keeps cropping up! After painting Legolas last week, I felt it was only right to paint up his companion Gimli this week! Please comment below to let me know who I should do for next week! I will be covering the original series of the Nine Companions, but if Middle Earth Mondays continue into the future the way I hope, there will be battle reports of the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game and more tutorials covering different versions of the characters!

FAQ:Adding a light spray of Grey Seer over a full coat of black primer adds a small amount of texture to the primer which gives the contrast paint more to grip on to. It also adds light and shadows which helps define the model more.

He looks great. You should definitely do Aragorn next. Then Sam because we all know the quest to destroy the ring would have failed without him.

Yeah definitely round out the Three Hunters next. I brought them about 2 years ago, new plastic ones, and used Pete the Wargamers Aragorn tutorial to paint them. Sadly he never got around to doing the other 2, but they share a lot of colours so I copied most over to Legolas and Gimli I kind of did my own thing, but kept similar colours the same to help tie them all in.
Not long after that I did all 4 Hobbits, plus a bonus armoured Merry. Last year I did the Battle in Balins Tomb set, though I still have the Hobbits, troll and goblins to do. A lot of my LOTR projects get pushed back. Still have Pelennor unbuilt, and I did start a Fall of the Necromancer project using the first gaming book I ever brought of the same name. Who knows I may get back to it once I finish up some other projects.
You for sure should get back to it. Sounds like you have the bug. And there such fun little side projects.

I always look forward to 'Fellowship First Half of the Week" 😂. I'm sure I should have a box (probably in parents loft) with nearly a complete run of the LotR magazine. Remember the special issue with Gandalf on Shadowfax? That was a horrible model to build. I'm almost certain that the 2 halves were cast in a slightly different scale 😂

will you be a different style base for Gimli since he will be standing up on the tomb?
It’s honestly something that is stumping me. I mean he really should have a base that matches the top of the tomb but then when I take him out to play he will look strange. So I don’t know yet. What do you think?
@@MediocreHobbies yeah its a tough call. Mine is just purely for display so I'll be matching the tomb but if your gonna be playing them its gonna look odd i guess 🤔
