Mark does it matter what color primer you use under the base …. Can you for example use a white primer under a metallic green or should you use a black for example ??

It really depends on the Color . You can use any coloured primer but more coats of Color may be required to gain 100% coverage before clear .
What a lot of people do is use a grey primer then a base coat Color to suit the next color . As a example if I’m painting a solid orange , I can use a white primer then spray the orange or use a grey primer then use a white basecoat then the orange .
Solid Color’s tend to cover alot faster over white than grey or black .
That’s not to say you can’t do grey or black but more coats of the Color will be required and or give you a darker shade of the top coat color .
In your example, yes a white primer is fine to use however depending on the shade of the green a black primer or base may be better .

Probably better suited question for your next vid , but , is there any reason you don't use pps cups on your paint guns?

i used to all the time , since working at dna i asked the same question . turns out a previous worker used to waste them , so they dont buy them anymore . as for me not using them , not sure really , just another cost not to worry about . i dont really do enough painting these days to warrant using pps cups .
