Kahlil Bell & The Gift at the PCF - 5/10/24

Kahlil Kwame Bell is a master percussionist who plays over 1,000 percussion instruments, including an innovative percussion instrument called the slappaphone. Performing with his talented band, the program features Bell’s repertoire of compositions that layer sounds and instruments blended through rhythms, reflecting the composer’s view on the unity of cultures through music. Kahlil Kwame Bell has been described as “one of the most prolific musicians in the industry today”, having almost 90 recordings with numerous musical icons and legends. He has toured with some of the biggest names, including Roberta Flack, Erykah Badu, Prince, Luther Vandross, Wynton Marsalis, and many others. His work with other musicians, as well as his own compositions, can be heard almost daily on jazz and world music radio programs worldwide.
