I saw an ICON BR for the first time in my neighborhood. And wow my husband and I were impressed! I had to come home and do research and see what exactly this was. We were saying it looks like an old SUV yet new at the same time. Talk about having an original car. Wow. I'd love a TR one day.
I’ve never been a big “truck guy,” but my god, Jonathan and the Icon crew make some absolutely beautiful and mean machines. If I’m ever in the market (🥺) The Icon would be the only Bronco restomod I’d consider. This one is Gorgeous!
Old vs New...Definitely old. If you could get the new Bronco with the Coyote then maybe. Having said that I'm glad to see Icon making parts for the new stuff.👍
Jonathan, I have to say you always put a smile on my face and make my day better! You cannot possibly quantify or, “buy” that!! Thank you friend! You are a true inspiration!!!
Congrats on number 100! That's quite the compliment that Ford reached out to you for design of the new Bronco. While the new Bronco is nice, your ICON BR, especially the Old School Design (IMHO), is the Best! Keep up the great work and can't wait for you to hit number 200!
You'll fall in love with it more than any other than any other channel. I'm happy to hear fantastic videos and explanations. Bronco and Land Cruiser interpreted by ICON are by far the best.
It would have been interesting to see ICON BR 100 with the same roof treatment as the new Ford Bronco I think it would have been sharp looking in all those side by side shots
I was at the Art Center College of Design when you brought a Bronco and the Desoto wagon. I traveled down to Pasadena with a one off Triumph 250K designed by Peter Brock. 2011?
Grats on BR 100. Really cool. Beautiful truck, I love the simplicity. I really dig that synthetic seat material. What a great idea. I agree the new Bronco is really cool but I also prefer the analog feel of the ICON truck in this case. My own car has no nannies or assists and I really love that about it. Is your jacket bison by the way? I'm guessing it's something you made, regardless it's a really incredible design. Thanks again for sharing.
Everyone would pick an ICON, catch is very few can afford one. It's not even a fair fight. That being said, I love my New Bronco and one day I'll have my ICON. :)
Love the jacket and the broncos loving my 2 black diamond eruption green black steelies I would pick the 74 no doubt if I hit the lottery I will definitely give you a call or 4 because I might a few things
You mention you did power windows and door locks, I did not notice any power door buttons in the video-only the manual window roll up handles. Secret buttons somewhere?
I am on the fence with this new Bronco because when all is said and done, unless you buy the top versions, you're getting a really expensive Explorer? Some would say Land Rover didn't do the original Defender true justice in their expensive new version... I'm looking for an H2 Hummer to serve my needs... Your ICON Bronco or the Toyota Land Cruiser would be a far better choice...
I hear ya- But, I would say though, that this modern Ford Bronco did a MUCH better job realizing the original, than the new LandRover Defenders did! I think they totally missed the mark unfortunately 👍🏾.
Small correction, there is no Launch Edition of the Bronco, it's the First Edition. Now there was a Launch Edition of the Jeep Gladiator pickup but that's it. LOL
I love the work they do with these resto mods. I would just like to know what they cost. I guess the staggering cost of all the man hours put into them would be shocking.
As cool as the new Bronco seems, I despise being nagged by the new cars, and having systems activated/deactivated without my say. So any new vehicle is a no from me.
So really not a fan of the new Bronco for the exact reasons you pointed out, but LOVE your work, so I know if I ever got one I'd buy you after market gear. And based on what I have seen out there you really should make your own after market parts.

Thanks for the video!
It took 2+ years to get our 2door ,7speed stick Bronco from time of order! 0:07

Me too but can not afford one😂

That's right. It's more difficult because I'm in the south of Korea. I'm replacing it with rc4wd rc car instead. ^^
I daily drive a 6g bronco. It grows on me everyday day. Thanks for the video.
The reverse Look, in the ICON certainly sets it apart. They are in a class of their own anyway. Nice work on both, Jonathan & Icon cew
Subtly promoting sales to RHD markets ;-)
Nothing beats a solid front axel.
Imagine having both. The new Bronco would probably be your daily driver and the Icon Bronco for special occasions only.
Beautiful! As always hats off to you and your team! Keep that flame alive!
Congratulations on 100 Icon Bronco’s, that’s impressive.
Next level as always.
Much appreciated!
Bad. Ass. And that's just the leather jacket!!! Thanks for bringing us, JW.
Thanks. I made the jacket! And belt and hat. ;-)
I love these things. We need more TLC vids too. I'm a Land Cruiser guy.
I’ve been hoping for the longest time you’d make a video talking about your involved with the new Bronco. 😎
OMG the flipped video was messing with me a little until I realized that you were driving on the left on Califonian roads!
Now I know why they did such a good job, they consulted with you!
I really enjoy when you put out a new video.
Icon BR & new Bronco are both awesome, who’s ford had the bronco in Australia (happy to trade you ford ranger for the bronco!)
Thanks for sharing

Long live the ICON BR

Jonathan, your jacket.....is that one of your personal creations?
Yes it is!
Glad that Ford bumped the 2-Door wheelbase up to ~100" to make it more stable. Close to the International Scout.
Do you think you can get AMP Research to finally release the retractable running boards for the 2-dr Broncos.

Old school any day

You nudge the analog window crank for up or down control. Double nudge, both windows up/down
Love it
Sir, what about one of one highest quality truck you have ever made, want to see that please.

A really expensive explorer? That's not what the specs say to me.
Any chance you could convince Ford to do a pickup version? I need a truck bed but want to take the top off and there is only one option right now.
Small correction, there is no Launch Edition of the Bronco, it's the First Edition. Now there was a Launch Edition of the Jeep Gladiator pickup but that's it. LOL
I would love mods to 'de-tech' the new Bronco. Window cranks would be a super cool retro mod i my book.
5:45 I don't understand that comment. What is he saying about the social baggage with the new Defender?
Where are the wheels for the 6gen? That’s a new one to me. I haven’t seen the lightbar on the web either. They both look awesome.
Wheels are on our website, thx
@@ICON4x4Design ahh. I see. Under the wheels area. Very nice.
Switching between the mirror image in cameras drove me nuts, i couldn’t even listen to what you were saying cuz I was waiting for camera to toggle!!!!

LOL Do you not have Google?
@@woog74 I meant I would love for him to tell us the price. I am not interested enough to waste my time looking into it.
Of course just about anyone would rather hop into the ICON, but at, what 5-6x the price .... ICON is the best.
Dope AF
That jacket!! (Is it Bison?)
New Zealand Shrunken Lamb
@@ICON4x4Design Looks great!
I must have the music from the end credits.
Some buddies of mine did that from me, including the bass player with The Rolling Stones!
What’s the song at the end?
Improv riffs my friends laid down for me
What ,...?? you driving an Icon built for Britain?
I prefer the older Bronco
Why do those arm rests look like they were made by an 8 year old? The whole interior looks not up to par.

I’d go with the Icon bronco too!
