I love this truck. I really like the color, inside and out. All your vehicles are gorgeous. The sub plot was awesome. I thought how clever to wear a matching jacket but super cool that you made it. I can't imagine ever having to actual spec a truck through your company, I could never settle on a design for the interior or a color for outside.
Holy sh*t, lol!! As a textiles and leather craft guy I was saying to myself how much I liked your duster jacket. Very cool that you made it yourself!! I’ve been teaching a workshop on sewing basics and the folks in these classes can’t get enough! They love it!! Sewing is a terrific and very handy skill to have. Best part is the sort of zen head place you inherently go to while doing it. Great stuff!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
All your builds are just so over the top nice. I have yet to to pick anything I didn't like. And typically whenever I see resto mods like these you find SOMETHING that irks you. And your subplots are cool - keep adding them. Wish I could wear the hat - but my noggin seems to only really fit a baseball cap. I really dig the coat - I've been looking for old Pendleton's and yeesh they got pricey!
All the vehicles you build are just bad ass. I'm glad you spoke about the outfit because I was looking and thinking to myself he's got it going on today I didn't expect to hear you say you made that great job, I'm going to inherit my mothers (Brianna sewing machine) and I've been thinking about learning how to sew myself, I thought I would take classes at the local Jo-Ann's but they stop teaching so I guess I'll be searching on RUclips for sewing channel. I'm inspired thank you.
Thank you! Go for it and start making stuff! Nothing to loose. A good trick is to buy something cheap at a thrift store that fits you well, deconstruct and make a paper pattern and give it a try!!
Love seeing the clothing etc, keep at it! I've done quite a bit of hat making that includes leather work, hide-stitching, basketweaving and forming/hardening felt - and I love projects that make me learn news skills! One of these days, when we sell our startup, I'm going to order an Icon - I think I know what I want, but then I see a derelict or stepside truck build and think "ok, now THAT'S what I want!"
As always, it's another great build. The subplot was interesting and inspiring. I also consider myself as a creative person, but I don't think I'm as dedicated to it as you. Thanks for the inspiration!
Your subplot is a great idea. I have worked in architecture for most of my career. The first architect I worked for was a designer. He told me that a good designer could design anything. That is a true statement. You have proven that statement again with your ability to design different things. Your auto designs are great and the apparel you design is just as good. I am guessing you could design good architectural projects (homes and offices) with enough information. A designer needs to know the right questions to ask and what is possible. I believe you could design an awesome set of silverware if you put your mind to it. I wish you well in all of your design activities.
To open powered steps you could have added a sensor underneath instead, similar to trunk sensors. I know off-roading might have made you look for the current option, but there are waterproof sensors as well. Or, have a switch on key fob.
@@ICON4x4Design if someone really wants to take it to next level then add a motion sensor; don’t open the step if in motion then false +ve caused by a rock - can be eliminated ;-)
I love the colour and the attention to detail. Have you looked at the zinc metal spray system that Retropower use? It looks a good fit with your methodology. Any plans for a Mastodon presence? It’s a nice community, for the most part 😊
@@ICON4x4Design They use a marine system so it’s like a zinc vapour deposited on the bare steel. It’s pretty close to indestructible. Came here to che c k out the True North watch and had to watch the video three times because i kept getting distracted by the truck 😂 i could listen to John talk all day @icon
There is a key cosmetic point to this vehicle that would not pass for delivery to the customer by standards set over 50 years ago. But I see all the glowing comments I don't thing anybody wants to hear it. I am sure there are others that see it but are afraid to point it out.
@@ICON4x4Design The upholstery is subpar when I was a auto mechanic over 43 years ago we would mark this as needing fixing before we could prep for delivery. For instance wandering seams, the cushions are not filled and stuffed properly and loose threads and the inset fabric pattern is also wandering. The console pocket has inconsistent radii. There is chunky paint in the corners, pinholes and unaligned knobs with no bezels the edges are not even or smooth.

Love the vehicle Jonathan and thanks for the inspiring words at the end. Live Iconic!
Thanks for the beautiful work and video!
Leather is in the top ten items that you can become emotionally attached to!

Love all the plots and subplot(s)… Love all things Icon! Awesome channel Jonathan!
This is my favorite truck you've ever done. The colors, the textiles, home run sir.
Keep the good work and we love all the aspects, including your hobbies!
This thing is pristine, Jonathan. I think I’ve said before that I’m not a “truck guy,” but my god, I’d love to drive one.
That is so the Bronco I would look great in... Another OUTSTANDING Bronco build...
This is a brilliantly cool build design. And the color layout for literally every detail is just perfect. I really love this look. Awesome!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Awesome ride! matching jacker was perfect.

Never first before ! ICON kills it!
Thank you for your time and effort in designing wonderful products.
Been wanting one of these since high school. If I ever win the lottery...
The sub plot was cool. I'm too old to start many new things but I can appreciate you doing them
Love the Sub plot. You're definitely a skilled craftsman...
Reminds me of the one that sat next to my neighbor’s house as a kid. Fabulous specification on this one, well chosen.
Keep on keeping on my good man!
👍🇦🇺
Great vid! Cool to see a manual Roadster out there...in Grabber Orange no less. 😉
Love the orange. For a moment I thought it was the same Cyber Orange on the new Bronco
Looks like the orange on my 1970 Datsun 510.

Love the sun plot. Love to see video of the craft projects.
Arts & Crafts no matter what you into is super freaking awesome! Love you jacket!
Thanks!!
Wow. Spectacular job. This is a piece of art.
Great build. The leather craft could be interesting.
You gotta dig an orange roadster by ICON. All good on the deepdives Jonathan
LOVE the subplot would love to hear more of your personal work ???
Check out my IG feed! Thx
Interesting video, I like the way you guys switched things up... the regular format was getting too same, same. Great job!
Sub plot idea: show us your personal car collection
The best.Old style with new tech
As long as you don't skimp on truck details, the subplots are cool...
Wish I had the money. Very nice indeed
Love your videos and builds.
Love it you do amazing work!
Dig the subplot idea.
Love the truck and the subplot

Top notch work!

That’s a good idea, I thought about that. I was worried it would sense rocks and stuff when you’re off road, actuating the step and causing damage…

Love your Bronco builds. Have you considered making custom suspenders also? Belts are great, but suspenders are cool as well.
Not yet… but would never say never!
Boa noite congrats carro vai amén bom trabalho icon 2023

Just curious, why do the 4 point cage with windshield support instead of 6 point cage?
We offer that option, but it hinders ergonomics, unless someone is intending to do serious off-road adventures
I need that seat treatment for my 6G amazing
Hea…hee… You said doo doo! 😁❤️👍🏼

The issue with Zinc is that it is a topical coating so once damaged, ions transfer

One motor with linkage

Nice to see an automotive company still using old-school imperial fasteners in 2023! None of that S.I. metric stuff!
