Heya ma dood! Just wanna say that the "MK" in "MK 103" doesn't stand for Mark but for "Maschinen Kanone", machine cannon (autocannon). :) Great job otherwise!
Yayo' Ariowibowo Yes Hs-129 b2 (in War thunder have name Duck because yellow nose) have one mk-103. MK-103 is very effective against t-34s. First time see action in Battle of Kursk. Germans see pontential and mount on hs 129 big gun 75mm pak 43 with some difference but engines was to weak for this gun and limite aircraft performanse.
Actually it was kind of ironic getting the MK 103 avaiable for the Kugleblitz. The German industry output was alwas to small compared by the request by army, navy and luftwaffe alwas a struggle among those to get more guns, engines, steel, fuel ect. But when luftwaffe more or less stopped to be effective there suddently was lower request of this gun and navy too stopped to request it so there were actual piles of this gun avaible to army so they able to drop the 2cm kwk38 and 37 mm..

Interesting, Borgward in the end became ,here in Germany at least, more well known for building Civilian and even sports cars, post-war... Wait that kinda sounds like someone else we know.... *Cough* Porsche *Cough*
Ferdinand Porsche designed unsuccessfull Tanks... the only Porsche weapon ever entereing the battlefield were the 90 Panzerjäger Ferdinand or Elephant... Porsche Sportscars were founded and designed by Ferry Porsche... and the 911 was designed by Buzzy Porsche... people tend to forrget that Ferdinand Porsche did not design the sportscars... all he did after released from war prison was telling he would have design the 356 exaclty like his son did...
Cool video. I think that since this one is mostly German tanks, you should make a video with some vehicles from other nations. The video was actually really interesting and I think if you made another one it would be really cool!
I think it'd be fine at BR1-3, I misspoke when it came to a meme vehicle. It'd definitely be a meme/derpy vehicle. But I think it could do alright as a quick moving AT rocket vehicle, perhaps like a smaller version of the lower-tier german rocket half-track (Can't remember what it's called)
Outstanding video, as I have come to expect from you! Now, how can I get my hands on a Borgward 4, LOL! Would love to show up at a reenactment, pull up next to a Bren gun carrier and see the look on the drivers face!
MK stands for Maschinen Kanone. Germans use that for automatic, rapid fire weapons 20mm and above. BK is Bordkanone. Term is still used in say the MK27 / BK27 revolver canon
"the borgward 4 wan an ammunation transporter or is it?" *BOI* "maybe is a giant remote control mine detonator" "now it's a goliath tracked mine" *BOOIIIII* "NOPE now someone strapped 6 panzrerschreck to it and make it an anti-tank gun" *BOI AGAIN*
Many love the Panther and Tiger, but I honestly love the Waffenträger and Hetzer. They do not only look good but were probably more needed than all the German heavies...
Would love to see the two other Waffentragers in warthunder, as well as a few of the E series (I know gayjin is against blueprint/uncompleted tanks but lets be honest fi it werent for blueprints the germans wouldnt have half their tanks and the soviets wouldnt have any heavy tanks past the IS-2, not to mention the surplus of event vehicles that were untested or even unfinished prototypes). Unfortunately the cancerous plane spam makes thin skinned and open vehicles completely useless these days. Even low tier TDs are rare past 2.3 due to the spam of planes.
I would also like to see many of the tanks in this vid in wt and maybe ... GETING RID OF THE GERMAND AND RUSSIAN P-47s bc that shit never happened and it’s hella annoying
Don't, don't wish for that. That's the cancer that's killing WoT. OP paper tanks that wouldn't have ever worked as intended in real life. The E series is the absolute worst of them, either undetectable sniper Porsches (e25) or, one shot doom cannons with auto bounce sides (e100.) By giving players this fan service they destroyed their game. So, be careful what you wish for.
Hi :) I really like your videos, as they show me tanks, i had nerver seen before, although i consider myself very intrested in this period of history. but don't be mad at me when I say i am laughing so hard when you try your best to pronounce the german names^^ as an austrian, it is huge fun! :D
0:54 That's not the Löwe, the correct hull layout and general appearance more closely resembles the result of whatever happens when a Panther has unprotected sex with an IS Series tank on a lonely Friday night.
While the design shown at 0:54 is pure WG fiction, they did have two main Lowe variants (with multiple sub variants) one was a centrally placed turret and the other was a rear placed turret shown at 0:46.
Yeah I know there's several designs for the Lowe, but the design WG used for the rear turreted Lowe is pure bullshit while the real rear turreted design is shown in the video earlier on.
@@Melonist in 1940 Soviets were building a heavy tank on the lessons learned in Finland, and on the base of SMK and T-100. 75 tons first draft, 79 tons final prototype. It was the first IS prior to KV modification. It was scrapped by the end of 1940.
12:02 you' ve committed a tiny error in the E series E-10: armored personal carrier E-25: tank destroyers E-50: Medium tanks E-75: Heavy tanks E-100: Super heavy tanks
@@schleistallipate2926 The barrel isn't that heavy compared to the rest of the tank. It wouldn't topple over specially because of turret position. The centralized position distributes the weight evenly, and allows for a massive gun like that.
I'm confused, which is the actual lowe at the beginning of the video, the rear turreted one or the center turreted one, because as being a world of tanks player the rear turreted one is a vk72.01 (I think that's what it is) and the other center turret is the actual lowe model in the game, but I'm just taking that from the game so I'm most likely wrong
Both are correct designs. There were two designs proposed for the Lowe, unofficially nicknamed 'Schwerer Lowe' (Heavy Lion), and 'Leichter Lowe' (Light Lion). The Leichter had a rear mounted turret and would have weighed 76 tonnes, with a 10.5 cm (4.1 in) L/70 high velocity gun and 100mm of frontal armour, but would have maxed out at 27 km/h. The Schwerer had the centrally mounted turret, coming in at 90 tonnes. Initially it had 120mm of frontal armour, a top speed of 23 km/h, and was armed with the aforementioned gun. However, it was later redesigned, giving it 140mm of armour, and an 88mm gun, and the top speed was brought up to 37 km/h. The VK 72.02 K is a design (I think it may be fictitious, though) based on the Leichter. The 'K' stands for Krupp, since the Lowe was Krupp steel's design for a super-heavy, competing with Porsche's Maus, and later the E-100. Just to cite my sources, I took my numbers from the Wikipedia page, so take some of the details with a grain of salt. Some archive digging, reading up on any of Hilary Doyle's notes/books, etc would yield more accurate data, but I hope this helped clarify. Sorry for the wall of text, btw.
I got it right. I got it right!! Three seconds? Only needed one. 17 tons. I got it right. I got it right!! Thanks, my self-esteem is better. Wishing you a prosperous and healthy 2020. Peace.

Heya ma dood! Just wanna say that the "MK" in "MK 103" doesn't stand for Mark but for "Maschinen Kanone", machine cannon (autocannon). :) Great job otherwise!
This is nice to know
Pablo Wakonigg Ya think they could use MK 103 guns for anti-armor or anti infantry roles?
Yayo' Ariowibowo Yes Hs-129 b2 (in War thunder have name Duck because yellow nose) have one mk-103. MK-103 is very effective against t-34s. First time see action in Battle of Kursk. Germans see pontential and mount on hs 129 big gun 75mm pak 43 with some difference but engines was to weak for this gun and limite aircraft performanse.
The Hetzers actually shared little to no parts with the 38t. The tracks happened to look alike though.
Because you are the first person with a channel that I'VE heard that doesn't beg a million times for me to hit like, subscribe and comment, I'm gonn get all up in ya vids! Cheers yo

P.s love old war memorabilia and stories, good stuff
This is actually interesting to learn about, I also did not know so many deigns were actually for the Löwe
By the end of the day, one of the best tanks and chassis germans used was made by Czechoslovakia, as Škoda transmittion works well after 30 years
From what i know Chaffee is Cadilac. Which is kind of funny when you think about it. Making large cars and small tanks :D

Interesting, Borgward in the end became ,here in Germany at least, more well known for building Civilian and even sports cars, post-war...
Wait that kinda sounds like someone else we know.... *Cough* Porsche *Cough*
Cough Opel Cough
We had a Borgward car in Malta 1960...my father loved it..
Opel was part of GM since 1932 ... GM earned money on both sides of the war... opsiiii ;)
if im not mistaken, 1 tiger p do enter battlefield as command tank

Cool video. I think that since this one is mostly German tanks, you should make a video with some vehicles from other nations. The video was actually really interesting and I think if you made another one it would be really cool!
The panzershrek bogwood would be a nice meme vehicle in warthunder
You say meme, but it might actually do okay
I had it in a mod in Men of War AS2, and it was fun ambushing people with it
RiftandRend m60 ontos but instead it's at BR 4.0
I think it'd be fine at BR1-3, I misspoke when it came to a meme vehicle. It'd definitely be a meme/derpy vehicle. But I think it could do alright as a quick moving AT rocket vehicle, perhaps like a smaller version of the lower-tier german rocket half-track (Can't remember what it's called)
You spot on here. Ambushing would be a perfect senario for the Bogward. But getting away alive would be hard. To slow and to weak amoured.

14:22 Why is there "БЕРЛИНА" (BERLINA) written on the side?! Was this picture taken after Soviet capture?
I guessed 16 tons for a Hetzer, I didn’t count the extra sausages 😂
Outstanding video, as I have come to expect from you! Now, how can I get my hands on a Borgward 4, LOL! Would love to show up at a reenactment, pull up next to a Bren gun carrier and see the look on the drivers face!
Really interesting video, and I learned a few new things about German Armor. Thanks for the video !!!
"Mark 103 cannons"
MK doesn't mean Mark lmao
Everybody knows but nobody cares
MK=Mein Kamf :p
Gewel ✔ this guy has no idea what he is talking about
MK stands for Maschinen Kanone. Germans use that for automatic, rapid fire weapons 20mm and above. BK is Bordkanone. Term is still used in say the MK27 / BK27 revolver canon

You mean the empire which resisted against all threats/odds only to collapse in the end under it's own agendas?

Many love the Panther and Tiger, but I honestly love the Waffenträger and Hetzer. They do not only look good but were probably more needed than all the German heavies...
Hetzer is my favourite
wargaming: *heavy breathing*
cuz they like to have tanks that don’t see combat in wot
My absolute favorite would be the radio controlled borgward tank XD.
Is that the music from the grand budapest hotel... Because if it is its f***ing awesome you rock dude!
"On paper the Jagdpwanzer is vewy impwessive" ...... classic narration from Bigus Dickus. Bravo !!
Even low tier TDs are rare past 2.3 due to the spam of planes.
no
No
I would also like to see many of the tanks in this vid in wt and maybe ... GETING RID OF THE GERMAND AND RUSSIAN P-47s bc that shit never happened and it’s hella annoying
josh brown no. German P47 and Soviet P47 happened. E serie tanks, on the other hand, didn't. Reading history isn't hard.
Shame on you Iron, you used the red arrow in the thumbnail...
cobalT yeah, the red arrow of the clickbait
Imagine how lit Kugelblitz's crew would've gotten whenever they elevated the guns Lmao
Hi :) I really like your videos, as they show me tanks, i had nerver seen before, although i consider myself very intrested in this period of history. but don't be mad at me when I say i am laughing so hard when you try your best to pronounce the german names^^ as an austrian, it is huge fun! :D
Wow awesome video very informative thank you so much

HAHAHAHAHA That war thunder footage is perfect :D love it.
Where is warthunder footage??
OOH SHIT KUGELBLITZ 420👌👌
0:54 That's not the Löwe, the correct hull layout and general appearance more closely resembles the result of whatever happens when a Panther has unprotected sex with an IS Series tank on a lonely Friday night.
While the design shown at 0:54 is pure WG fiction, they did have two main Lowe variants (with multiple sub variants) one was a centrally placed turret and the other was a rear placed turret shown at 0:46.
First Heavy Tank...call...VK 72.01 K...before show Löwe
Some Rando Filipino lol you watch jingles, don’t you
@@D8W2P4 Nope, it's not WG fiction. Get your facts right. There were several designs for Löwe.
Yeah I know there's several designs for the Lowe, but the design WG used for the rear turreted Lowe is pure bullshit while the real rear turreted design is shown in the video earlier on.
Great video! Very informative even if not playing World of Tanks.
Thank you! I bought a resin tank kit from an eBay auction and could not identify it (no instructions). I now realise it is a Borgward IV.
From K-Wagon to King Tiger, Maus, E-100 and Ratte. Lessons not learned, are failures bound to be repeated.
To be fair, with the K-Wagen they didn't have enough time to start that lesson, let alone learn it
@@Melonist in 1940 Soviets were building a heavy tank on the lessons learned in Finland, and on the base of SMK and T-100. 75 tons first draft, 79 tons final prototype. It was the first IS prior to KV modification. It was scrapped by the end of 1940.
Hetzer is one of the most well-known tanks of WWII...
12:02 you' ve committed a tiny error in the E series
E-10: armored personal carrier
E-25: tank destroyers
E-50: Medium tanks
E-75: Heavy tanks
E-100: Super heavy tanks
A fine video! Although there a big difference between tank and self propelled gun. Rare photos are always cool to see!
Excellent research!
Question! That..."thing" in the thumbnail! - how come it doesn't topple over itself??
Well... If it doesn't then There is A reason
@@schleistallipate2926 The barrel isn't that heavy compared to the rest of the tank. It wouldn't topple over specially because of turret position. The centralized position distributes the weight evenly, and allows for a massive gun like that.
Actually i knew about every single one. Well shit i need a new hobby
Most of these tanks are in war thunder or world of tanks
