Wow...the space ship was still accelerating at max G from lift off and yet the crew was getting up and moving around...lol. That's okay....I have always loved these older outer space/Moon movies...good fun.
The old invisible electro ray screen helmets. In other words, the prop guy couldn't find any faceplates for the helmets. lol
They kept fogging up so they complained.😂

At 20 20ish, the dude gets onto the moon and starts filming, putting the camera to his eye, going 'through' the invisible helmet shield 😂😂. I love these oldies but goodies! ❤
No seal between helmet and collar, or between glove and cuff, and thier boots have laces.
No air on the moon, but the falling asteroids are heating up due to friction with something.
I could write a more interesting story about everything wrong with this steaming pile.

I just watched a documentary on PBS that said they mis-calculated and actually landed on Venus but had to cover it up as to not let the Russians know our scientist were unable to perform the proper calculations to hit the moon.

The rocket engine thrust is achived by rocket fuiel , the thrust of a rocket is the force which drives the rocket forwards and with reduced power can also land the rocket. However I am not sure if this captain is awhere of that fact?

I appreciate that at least this movie portrays the mission as a full governmental operation, not just people throwing together a rocket and going to the moon.
I hope you are not insinuating that the ship I am building in my yard will be of poor quality...and might just fall over on launch..launching will be July 4 2024 after dark when nobody will notice..

Well... this movie gives a whole new spin on climate change... surprised it has not been banned for its subversive content... love how they come up with a solution in about 20 seconds after the scientist says "let's go to work"... talk about pulling something out of your a**. . . and the look on everyone's face when they announce drawing straws -- classic; that alone is worth the price of admission❗😋 😄 😁

Funny to see what look like NYC cops checking a clipboard and pushing the astronauts/cosmonauts along. “Move along, get going mac. If I have to tell you again…” reaches for his nightstick.
So many commercials, nearly unwatchable. Closing, won't come back.
Thrill to the awesome sight as our brave astronauts don their helmets! The dog wasn't strapped to its own lawn chair. Please note the shadows on the wall behind (0:10:34). The cowlick needed a dab of hair gel (a missed opportunity to market Brylcreem if ever I saw one). Why did they use a weather radar scan at 1500 miles above Earth? Ooh, ageism on display (didn't they check the crew's birth certificates before launch?). Stereotypical stray meteors. Followed by sparkling meteoric dust. Electrocution risk inside a full outer metal rocket hull. Guess they didn't study Faraday Cages and electrical conductivity. They play childish pride games with whose country's inventions were more vital to the success of the mission. No time lag in radio comms with Earth base, which is good, as the amount of exposition in this movie takes up a large proportion of the run time. Are those lava fumeroles or steam vents on the lunar surface (0:29:00)? They missed the One Small Step moment in stepping off the ladder (0:28:18). Also, imported sand? Most meteors aren't iron, so magnets don't work in deflecting the rocky ones, nor really help in keeping spacesuit air inside. Love how they bunch up (0:31:48) on that ledge. Good time for H..G.Well's Selenites to attack and wipe them all out. Dr. Orlaf steals he "evil" Medea Stone name from the Muslim. Tsk. Why bring cats to research procreation, if these two are going to get love struck (and take off their helmets? - WTF 0:37:44). The story goes all over the place. I'm going to suggest this movie to RiffTrax, it's a hoot.
