I have read the books, listened to the audio books a million times, watched all the bbc movies, started a Narnia Club as an 8 year old, and went crazy over everything Narnia! I don’t think the deference’s between the movie casting and the original character descriptions were that deferent. The dwarves were portrayed almost perfectly. The Pevensie children-aside from some hair colour deference’s- were portrayed perfectly. The Witch aside from hair colour was portrayed perfectly. The only I’d say they did wrong was Prince Caspian(although the actor was extremely handsome and the personality was pretty accurate) the fact that he’s dark when Telmerines were very clearly described as light and fair…..just kinda weird. Other then that the rest of the cast was great! Loved the movies!
Literally Chronicles Narnia is my favorite movie series! I have been so used to the way Peter, Lucy ,Edmond and Susan look, that it seems so off that that’s how they were supposed to look!!

The books describe truffle hunter as an old badger with graying fur, in the movie however he says he is old, but still has sleek black fur.
I don't mind whether they look exactly like their counterparts in the book. I just want the movie production finish the franchise. Chronicles of Narnia isn't just a part of my childhood. It is my childhood and I would really love to see this movie in the big screen once more.

Perhaps the reason why Lewis never gave us a specific description of Edmund is because as fallen people ourselves, we are meant to project ourselves onto him a little. Sort of why Mario and Link have no spoken Lines in their video games. It helps us self insert.
"If you're a hardcore Narnia fan, buckle up; these differences might be a little shocking." ...Why would the hardcore fan be shocked? I would think the hardcore fan has read all the books and is already aware of all the differences. I know I am. It's not a shock at all.

Edmund is my most favorite character but probably because I had a big crush on Skandar Keynes. I love all the characters. I think the the kids look alike and could be siblings even Will Polter( sorry if spelled worng) looks like he could be their cousin.
They did give the witch shoes that were several inches high to make look tall. She is half giant in the books so she really isn’t massive. I think she looked tall in the movie and they really show that well in the movie when she picks up Edmund in his prison cell. If you look at the picture of Jadis in The Magicians Nephew, you will see that she looks very similar to size in the Narnia movies.

Iv'e never been first! :0
nobody else could play prince Caspian in my eyes
Perhaps the reason why Lewis never gave us a specific description of Edmund is because as fallen people ourselves, we are meant to project ourselves onto him a little. Sort of why Mario and Link have no spoken Lines in their video games. It helps us self insert.
Number 1. The lion the witch and the wardrobe
Number 2. Prince Caspian
Number 3. The voyage of the dawn treader
"If you're a hardcore Narnia fan, buckle up; these differences might be a little shocking." ...Why would the hardcore fan be shocked? I would think the hardcore fan has read all the books and is already aware of all the differences. I know I am. It's not a shock at all.
I love The Chronicles of Narnia movies so very much! This is an awesome video! Thank you so very much for sharing this TheThings, you're the very best amazing channel!👍😊
I can't take these videos seriously when they can never pronounce the names correctly. You have the correct pronunciation in the movies ffs!
My thoughts precisely!!! The way she said pevensie ughhh
Anna Popplewell was perfectly cast for Susan, imo.
I like the movies the way they are. I love the books. I have trouble reading because I am vision impaired.
The way she butchered so many of the names was so bloody triggering, fucking hell 😖
In the movie Edmund looks innocent more than cunning it's totally the opposite but I still loved it
The Pavinci???????? Did you even read the books or watch the movie????
Awesome video 👌
I don't think most people get what this story was really meant to be about...
@@MsLunaWinter where? Can you confirm then?
Narnia especially the LION REPRESENTED JESUS. LOVE THE WHOLE SERIES. C. S. LEW WAS AN ATHEIST BUY WHEN A FRIEND TOOK HIM TO THE ZOO HE SAW A LION, THAT WHEN HE BECAME A BELIEVER GOD SHOWED HIM WHAT TO WRITE. LOVE IT, I HAVE THE ORGINAL THAT ENGLAND MADE, ITS RXCE
LENT.

Can we not bring religion into a harmless film pls- not everyone is Christian
@@madeehaislam2008 Thats why C. S. Lewis made it, read his story. HE WAS AN ATHEIST BUT A FRIEND TOOK HIM TO A ZOO AND HE SAW A BEAUTIFUL LION, IS AS WE SAY THE REST IS HISTORY, LOOK IT UP BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING YOU DON,T KNOW.
@@milicadjukich4416 I looked it up and I know what it is based off but u do not need to say it is a Christian book because it makes people uncomfortable
Susan's hair wasnt supposed to be that long until she was an adult
wait a minute...Professor Diggory Kirk is that "Diggory"? that's why he knows about Narnia?? damn i just notice
Lord Commander Mormont from Game of Thrones is playing Father Christmas in the Narnia movie... good casting choice!
Narrator: "She had the wrong color hair"
Also the Narrator: "Puh-VIN-see"
She keeps saying their last name wrong it's pevensie
There was a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it. His parents called him Eustace Clarence and masters called him Scrubb. I can't tell you how his friends spoke to him, for he had none. - C. S. Lewis, Voyage of the Dawn Treader
"Master" means school master, teacher
I am glad someone pointed it all out that the movie left out a lot
Brilliant, i love the Narnia stories and the films.
tbh I don’t really care about small details being changed in the movie such as hair color, eye color, size of ear, length of hair *UNLESS* it’s an important detail for example elf ears, particular hair color of a race, heterochromia
I've been in love with Prince Caspian since 1974 when I first read the Novels in the 4th grade.
Had a huge crush on Anna when I was a kid.
Jeez, I miss this series! I wished they would have gone on and adapted all 7 books.
I thought it was interesting how they characterized Caspian and the Telmarines as Spanish.
