Back in the 90s when I was a waitress in Detroit, MI, I served the band members of Incognito. They invited me to see them perform at the fox theater and I went. I got the chance to see the group that I'd been listening to every night before bed. They had just come out with 100 degrees and rising CD and this song was one of my favorites. Thank you for bringing back such a good memory. I love this group for life.
I remember when this album came out - what a shock it was for me, after the Jazzfunk masterpiece that was Positivity! Over the years I've come to realise that this was Incognito's shot at a "soul" album - once I accepted that, I came to realise just how exceptional it was!❤ So many good tracks, from my favourite: Spellbound And Speechless, to the floor filler, Everyday. Did you get to hear them perform this album with a full symphony orchestra?
This is known as the Maysa “free” album. I love Maysa, but enjoyed Joy Malcom & Pamela Anderson are awesome too. This project had a different feel. Phenomenal sounds & songs. This album makes me smile & it came out during the total fun year 1995!
Wow, I had no clue there was a video for this song. Such a heartfelt song! This was an undercover great album! Barumba was also a hidden gem on this album.
MAYSA IS A GIGANTIC TALENTED SINGER I BELIEVE THE EGO OF BLUEY MADE HER GO AWAY🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and since than he changed singers like underwear and they were all incomparable so less poorly talented that he had to cancel SPELLBOUND AND SPEECHLESS AND OUT OF THE STORM…FROM HIS SHOWS? Maysa build up the success of Incognito without her voice would have been another story……
I know the roster of vocalists changed along the way , and there are many reasons behind this that we will never get to hear about , don’t think it was totally negative . I always thought the most outstanding ones were Maysa, Chris Balin , Immani , Joy and Pamela . Of course Jocelyn Brown was excellent on Always There . On the latter albums I didn’t connect with the other vocalist in the same way but still pleased Incognito are making music . Just a shame I’ve not had the chance to see them live .
@@allseeingi I’ve saw them live at first in 1996 in the immense roman public park Villa Pamphili’s with Maysa leading, than on a theatre in ‘Milano with still Maysa leading vocal up to the Blue Note Club of Milano, in all the 3 occasions they were strict on playing like theirs records, nothing more nothing less, but live they’ve lost something, not bringing all the instruments used on the recordings and I felt, that the music played, was less vibrant, less acoustic, a little suffocated, that wasn’t the case in the park in Roma!
INCOGNITO! forever in my top 10. As a bass player, in my spare time Im in it passing some time. Best believe I've already bought my tickets to their show. Only death will make me miss it!
I was there last night. You missed me. I hung out with Bluey a bit after the show and talked about his upcoming album getting released next year. Great guy and band leader.

As you mature in age you begin to realise incognito has made some beautiful music. Just so soulful and enjoyable.

Agreed they left a huge void .
This song just pulls at your heart. Beautiful ❤️
I used to have the biggest crush on Joy Malcolm. Incognito is one of my favorite groups of all time.
Amazing Joy Malcolm and Pamela Anderson bringing some joy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed them & this era in time for the band . I think 1995. Great times !!
Incognito no joke the best
I love this song and video so much they are addictive but it's sad they were so in love what happened 😢
BEEEAAAAAAAAUT-Tiful arrangement and lyrics. The ladies were awesome together int his jam!
The version on the CD concludes with a very slow - and sad - instrumental. Depressing but still a great opening track for 100 Degrees and Rising
Remember this video on Video Soul. Classic song! Love Bluey & the gang!😌🎶❤️👍🏾
One of my favourite song from the best album IMO. Thanks for uploading!
Amazing vocals - extra melody!!
I forget how good this jam was. One of the best bands ever.
Legendary band , merci beaucoup
The vocals & instrumentals are superb!!! Still sounds as good as when I first heard this masterpiece for the first time!!!
Ce morceau est un chef-d'oeuvre! Je ne saurai pas expliquer avec des mots à quel point cette chanson me touche! Merci Incognito, merci Bluey.
