I didn't know the Oliso irons could be so colourful and I love the one you've chosen My iron has a 'blast' button that gets rid of any calcium build-up. In England/UK we have 3 pin electric plugs (one is for the earthing) and our wires are round. I didn't notice in your older video's if the wire is round or not on your older models. Years ago I had a bendy wire 'thingy' that clamped onto my ironing board and the iron wire hung from it. It would bend over as you stretched to the end of the board. I lost part of it in my house move - never seen one since - maybe I should google 🤔 😍
Great unboxing video! Every time I see the Oliso irons, I can see how useful those feet and the other safety features are. When I am ready for a better iron, it will most likely be an Oliso. So far, all of the irons I have purchased over the years have been fairly basic irons with features that I needed. So I have a travel iron, a small Steamfast iron, and a regular size iron. I do use water in my irons and follow the recommendations for the specific irons. I sometimes use the irons without water and use a spray bottle, mostly when ironing yardage or fabric before cutting. It depends on what I am doing. I also use silicon mats to set my irons on, either standing up or flat. In addition to the extra surface protection, I use the silicon mat as the designated place to put a hot iron. It is a habit and visual indicator that has greatly reduced me forgetting and getting burned. Thanks for this video, Robin!
It really is! I am still surprised at how heavy It is even empty. Makes me wonder if it’s like sewing machines. The heavier machines tend to be work horses and do a good job.
Love this iron, Robin! I had not heard that Tula was going to have this, or I would have waited to buy my new Oliso at Christmas time. Looking forward to seeing you use this beauty!
I didn’t know about Tula Pink designing an oliso iron until I saw her unboxing on Instagram. One Oliso iron is the same as another Oliso iron but I love the fun colors and thought It might be nice in my videos. I’m trying to catch the matching project iron but they sell out super fast. I never thought I’d be the crazy matching Iron Lady but here I am 🤪✂️🦩🙃
Robin So happy that you got this wonderful iron - I love my Oliso - I always keep my silicon iron pad under mine when I have it on my wool mat just to be safe . Sincerely Your Friend Lynne
So jealous! Tula is my favorite designer. I already have the non-Tula versions of the big and little iron in yellow. I can’t justify replacing irons that work great. Thanks for showing yours, you will love it!
I totally get It. Tula Pink did an amazing job designing the irons and Oliso makes a nice iron. I’m trying to get the matching project iron but they sell out extra quickly.
Hi Robin, I have a Philips iron it is around 30 years old and it has the anti-calcium features in it and it works so well it has never had a problem. The turn off features are cool. Have a great week 😊 Happy Saint valentines 💝
I’ve heard many good things about the older Philips irons. Happy to hear that you enjoy your iron. Not everyone gets It but if you’re using a tool for 6-8 hours a day then it’s nice if works the way you need It to. ✂️
I hope you get a lot of use from this iron, and that you enjoy it. I will be waiting to hear your thoughts later on down the line after you have had it a while.
I saw Tula's iron and loved the pink.. I really hope you will love it too. I don't use water in my iron so I couldn't really answer your question about that. I also love the long cord that's on it. Let us know how it goes and enjoy it!! Happy ironing!!
I haven’t used my newest iron very much but I love the long cord and longer shut off time. I’m looking forward to seeing how It does for those long sewing days.
That does make It harder for lefties. I thought It was great that they listened and on the smaller project iron you can change where the cord is attached. The project iron also has a steam button on each side. One for the front and one for the back. I guess they put most of their time into the project iron. Maybe they’ll find a good solution for lefties on the larger iron. 🤞

What a cool iron. So beautiful also!

Who knew ironing could be so fun! I love the colors….great choice. Enjoy!
Right? They say if a chore is boring do what you can to make It fun.

Thanks Lynne. I’m going to start that habit right off in Arizona. A sweet follower made sure that I have a silicone mat 😎

What a lucky girl you are Robin. Congratulations on your new iron. Enjoy it.

Hi Robin, nice positive review, they should send you a 🎁, thanks also for all the pointers 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you 💜

Super de duper!! 💕
The steam button is perfectly placed for right handed people but not so much for us lefties. 😔

@@rsislandcrafts I love my smaller Oliso iron!
Awesome! I sew with 1.5” strips often and the smaller project iron is perfect for those projects.
I just received my oliso iron. Mine is purple
Awesome! I looked at the purple ones too.
It's my favorite color
Mine too not counting my current Aqua/teal obsession 🙃
I have those observations as well.
Very cute iron!
