      @@VenturesomeCouple it is awesome. Everyone in our current area of Florida is jealous because a lot of internet providers are out. We run easily 15ish devices on it and never had issues. It is better than the go connect RV internet we were using and cheaper

    Thanks for great video. I connected my netgear router to the wineguard antenna and I see a marginal improvement. Now my Q is whether we need a power source as the antenna needs amplifier to work. I was unable to retrieve the 12 volt wire -- somewhere in the roof top - i can find it if necessary but your video does not suggest a power source. There is a coaxial power on/off switch on the wall for my TV. I could power that off but i suspect this is principally for the TV signal antenna and not for the gateway. Any suggestions? Bottom line - do i need a power source to gain signal boost? MY wineguard came installed with my coachmean apex nano.

    • @VenturesomeCouple
      @VenturesomeCouple  Год назад

      Good morning J-F LaRue, my Air 360+ did have a power source that was routed with the installation. I do not know if the antenna needed the power or that was just a convenience for the gateway hub to have an available connection. Most likely that antenna does not need power; which is the case for my external antennas for my pepwave. Thank you for watching my video and supporting our channel.

    I have the Air 360 antenna and was going to get the gateway but I have my camper on my rural property in Florida and only get 1 bar of cell signal if any. Will the gateway boost my cell signal as well? And I believe I can add a sim card to have direct access to T Mobile as well so I don't have to use a hot spot, correct? Thanks!

    • @VenturesomeCouple
      @VenturesomeCouple  Год назад

      Hey James, thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel. The Winegard will not boost your signal it may provide better line of sight to the cell tower being on the roof of the rv. With that in mind I do not like the gateway and feel your money could be spent elsewhere with a better result. The gateway is extremely old technology and has limited frequency bands to communicate with the tower. A modern hotspot that offers a network cable output would allow you to mount it in a window and get the best signal and you could plug it into a laptop or use the wifi. If your looking for a true cellular booster; look at WeBoost on Amazon. Those boost signals and will help in limited signal situations. You may be best suited to go with Starlink for your “Residence” if you have your trailer stay in one location. By not moving you save money on the monthly subscription.

      @@VenturesomeCouple Thanks for the info but I really didn't mean boost, I should have said "receive" and stronger signal. I get one bar if that at my lake property and their is no house, just a camper. So my real questions is, when you hooked up the Winegard gateway, did you receive a stronger signal than on your cell phone? Also what is the PepLink router that you got and do you use the Air 360+ plus with that as well or do you have another antenna. I installed a WeBoost and it did nothing, not really good unless you have more than one bar of signal I found. Thanks!

      Thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel. The links to the adapters is below the description on the RUclips video at the time of filming this video Winegard E360+ was limited to 4G LTE connections. Most routers at this point are 5G technology and would not utilize the same cellular bands. Our opinion is that you would be better off getting a standalone Internet from T-Mobile, Starlink, or any other cell based carrier.

    Hi! I've got a question. When you did the "antenna hack" with the Air 360+, I am wondering if the hack was to boost your AT&T signal or if it was to boost a campground wifi signal. I'm trying to find a solution to boost campground wifi signals inside my camper because we can have fantastic wifi outside, but when we go in it gets severely bogged down. I'm thinking that I could possibly wire the Air 360+ up to the antennas of a normal house router and set to bridge mode or something along the lines. I just don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for the gateway because we do not need the cellular capability.

    • @VenturesomeCouple
      @VenturesomeCouple  Год назад

      Good morning Paul, thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel. The hack was to improve our cellular network strength. The hard part of the Air 360+ is the older 4G technology. I didn’t play with the wifi side of the antenna. I am not a fan of the Gateway and would not buy one due to the limitations of 4G. I haven’t used one but the Wifi Ranger seems to be highly rated on Amazon for a fraction of a price.
