I sold the first batgirl after getting this one. I like the more realistic and not cartoony face.
According to Todd Mcfarlane, from a recent interview, the side eye is to insinuate motion/action. He had them on sports figures/statues in the past. Just staring forward is like a mannequin.
That makes me appreciate the side eye more since would pose in action poses with other figures.
Not all figured should be dude eyes though
It's why I no longer buy his figures

This is a pretty good Batgirl figure and I like the head sculpt, minus the eyes looking off to the left side. Having a couple of a figures looking off to the side is fine, but its jarring when it's the case with every figure. The paint application is clean for the most part. Articulation is pretty good. I like the accessories as well. However, the grapple gun could've been afforded some extra paint. This is a solid piece overall, despite the fact that the eyes are looking off to the side. I've always been a fan of Batgirl and this version is no different. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another wonderful video! I greatly appreciate the continued hard work! Keep it up! Sorry but "side eye" has to be Worst idea EVER!! If he wants the figures to be more expressive then why not include a 2nd head sculpt!!
I was about to comment the same to thing to someone who appreciated the explanation of the side-eye.
I’ve saw someone joke that they are looking to the side at the guns they aren’t supposed to have. Lol
That damned side eye is really annoying but I think the figure is still worth it overall.
For the eyes, I was thinking if that was made of a different material like a magnet so we could use a separate magnet to move the eyes. Could have a lot of fun posing because eye contact while posing naturally with other figures is something which could become easier if that gets implemented. Also it's a win win situation for people who like side eyes & neutral eyes.
Aside from the side eye, she's also too tall to the point that the legs seem elongated. I do like this Batgirl look.
Thanks for the side eye explanation/speech, that's what has been running in my mind after I saw these figure lines entered my country's toy stores recently. Almost buying it on Sunday but the side eye is the catch.

A swappable head sculpt with the side eye would be okay, but that's not the case. Therefore, it's bad and unwanted!
Overall I think this is the best Batgirl from McFarlane so far

If MRG starts making bat gadgets or more versatile diapers I'll be a happy boy. These accessories don't look very good. The scale is just too big for these figures. Zero paint on this grapnel gun? They did it for art of crime Bat girl(which is the best so far IMO)
