I just got this figure today, and I don’t know what it is about this figure, but I absolutely love it. It just really captures my imagination and the cape was so well integrated into the figure.
It really is! I was on the fence with this one till I got it in hand as well, but that cape sold me
I've watched a dozen videos for mcfarlanes Defective Batman and yours absolutely was thee best. Most informative, most fun, and youre the only oerson who's used the word "pleats"👍 concerning the cape. I can stop yelling at my phone now.
So far I've seen two videos where either the arm or head have broken off. (Platinums)
Its amazing how you are able to switch heads. The neck joint is totally different from other mcfarlanes??

While a bit inaccurate, a great figure overall; especially with that cape! The First Appearance suit is one of my all-time favorite Batman designs! I'm actually working on a custom with this, but making him resemble how Batman appeared in the following issues, like when he faced Dr. Death. That includes a belt with a square buckle, blue gloves and a bat symbol with a head!
To be honest, if they'd put the ears on the side, it might have been more accurate, but it would have looked ridiculous. Those early comics were rarely consistent and I can imagine Bruce suiting up one night and Alfred telling him, 'perhaps the blue gloves today, Sir. The purple are still in the wash...'
I like this figure immensely; I just wish he could hold the wrench properly.

I’ve been looking forward to this figure since I really love the 1st appearance look (or Zero Year. Hint hint McFarlane). I went to my local gamestop after watching this video and they actually had it right there with the other multiverse figures… but the black knightfall Batman was also next to it. I ended going for knightfall since that might be my definitive Batman figure now.
I want Robert Bat-inson to use a wrench 🔧 in the next movie. Maybe he will.

Yes please more custom videos I genuinely love the hush two pack. Custom review u made and wish there was more videos like that ,also you action comics 100 repaint and hush superman kit bash was great as a short should make more customizing shorts too.
Right when you put 27 batman's head on jla batman, it made me think of keaton and kilmer's early suits.

I just got him and the chase yesterday in my first target preorder I didn't have to approve a delay on! The figures are very cool, I like the regular release better bc the darker scheme feels more pulpy. One of my favorite McFarlane Bats, but I'm disappointed in the solid neck cowl design, ankles, and hands. Might do some experimenting and Frankenstein this base with other options. And yes would love to see a video on your custom! Thanks

Talk about custom potential with that cape! I've toyed with the idea of painting Mafex Knightfall Batman with the black and grey look I prefer, but what about a black cape? BOOM!
The open hands look like the might be the infected Superman or rebirth Bizarro figure.

He's a great figure. You can get his hips up a bit more. Would like to see a video on that custom
I personally like this design which looks kinda cool even though I don't have him which I might have to try to get him because he is one of DC's most favorite and popular character, Overall, Fantastic review on this Batman figure.

I can’t tell why…but you REALLY sold me on the figure. The way he stands up vanilla and looks so awesome while also killing any pose he’s in is so great

The more I see this look the more I like it. That is a nice head sculpt and if nothing else be a good one for customization. I really wish they would do a Stan Lee Batman. Honestly I would buy a whole wave of Stan Lee DC universe figures

I mean this as someone who loves Mcfarlane and making customs and kitbash, does it mess with you how they put no effort into making a crunch forward? I think it's the one problem they have.

Hello, do you think it is possible that the cape can be used on Batman Hush or on three jokers, considering that the torso is similar or the same in this figure
I'm hoping to find an extra so I can figure that out. The only thing that concerns me is that there are these plugs in the shoulders of Three Jokers and Hush for the cape that Detective Comics 27 doesn't have, so so I am not sure if they will get in the way or not

My platinum edition s head snapped which is annoying but other than that I love the figure and its probably my favorite DC multiverse figure in my collection.

@@jorlox77 as of now its got silly putty on the neck, also the peg is stuck, I even heated up the peg and it's not even close to budging.

Im honestly just tired of todd jot fixing that wiast system. Like these are uglier than just a fuckin ab crunch and they NEVER work better. Its ridiculous
