    my birman is obsessed with cigarette filter sticks, if i leave any of them loose i will always find it in his water.
    mine is a 7 years old chocolate tabby male, he's the most peaceful cat i've ever met and he absolutely loves me, to the point i think he would let himself to die if i abandoned him for any reason

    It's so weird, we have a cat Lillian who looks EXACTLY like Jinx.
    We have always wondered exactly what her heritage is as she came to us of her own accord.
    However I don't know if the same applies to all of these breed but she is an absolute anarchist nutcase monster, and is obsessed with outside, spends 8 to 12 hours out in the woods sometimes, and comes in covered in alsorts of foliage, very strong personality it seems in this breed, quite bizarre.
    Brilliant to see your wonderful video. thanks.

      You say, she found you... so it is possible, she had some bad experience or someone left her and she had to fight for herself. All sort of bad experience leave consequences in their behaviour because this is very untypical for Birmans...

      mostly they don't, but it is all depent on each cat. My first Nika did bite, if she felt threatened, but this two sometimes more then bite very gentel, more like hold you with teeth

    I'm thinking of getting birman kitten later this after construction with my room is done, i was wondering how would i protect them from wires that i can't really hide.. Wire covers seem expensive for all the wires around the house. There's 5 other people around the house so you can imagine how many wires there are.. I don't think it will be safe for them either to chew or bite. Of course i will give them toys and a tree but do you have any non expensive suggestions for them to avoid wires?

    • @catsdiary6384
      @catsdiary6384  4 года назад +1

      Cats understand tone of our vice very good, so if you speak “normally”, they know it is ok and when you tell them something with “harder” voice not to do something, they understand. So in most cases, if you tell them not to do something, from a moment you bring them home, it should be ok. But you need to be very determined and you need to give them enough attention to play, to cuddle... I have to say we had no problems with wires.

    Hi Tina 😊
    I have been watching your videos for a while and love them! We were tossing between a Birman and Ragdoll. I have a question regarding them being carried and lifted. Do they enjoy being cuddled and stay on your lap when watching tv/reading etc?
    Thanks, Zahra

    • @catsdiary6384
      @catsdiary6384  4 года назад +1

      Hi Zara, mostly cats love to cuddle, unless they had a bad experience and they need more time. About sleeping in your lap, that is pretty much depend on each cat's character, my first Nika was sleeping on me every evening when I was watching TV, while this Nika and Jinx, not so much, they love to cuddle, but not being in the lap. But it is also true, that cats are building themselves and their routine in first 2 or 3 years of their life and sometimes they change their habit, so you may be surprise. I don't know much about Regdolls (except the fact that are also very beautiful) so good luck choosing.
      Thank you for your compliments, I hope you will be watching us in the future, we are preparing new videos soon.

      @@catsdiary6384 Thank you so much for getting back to me and for your information.
      Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get a Birman kitten where we are in Australia, and especially with the Covid 19 situation. I have been placed on a few waiting lists so far and still waiting. However, we were able to rescue a Ragdoll baby 11 months old! We named her Mika 😻 Hopefully we can get her a Birman companion soon 😊

      I can tell you here in Slovenia we 3 registered breeders and when I started looking for new Birman, none of this 3 had any kitten, that is why I got Nika and Jinx from Salzburg. So I know exactly what you are talking about. Good luck with your search :)

      @@catsdiary6384 Hi Tina,
      Just wanted to share my excitement with you.. We will be picking up a little male Birman kitten in 6 weeks! My partner and I feel like we have won the lottery haha. Are there any particular 'Birman tips' you could give me? Also does Jinx do anything that is predominantly 'male' related that I should look out for in my little boy? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
      Thank you,
      Zahra

    Hi. :) Do you have any experience with people having an allergic reaction to your Birmans? I have trouble with a friend's British Shorthair but not to other breeds. Would really love to get a Birman, but scared if I am allergic to them as well... thank you for your input. :)

    • @catsdiary6384
      @catsdiary6384  3 года назад +1

      the allergy develops on protein inside of cat's savliva and because cats groome themself this protein stays on their flece. In my family mom was diagnose with allergy on cat's hair, but she develope no simptoms when we had our Birmans
