- boomtown chapter 3 review, based in Winchester is one of the biggest drum and bass and alternative music festivals in the world. it was a solid 8/10 this year. It didn't quite beat last year's, but I'm certain next year will be even better. I can't wait for the next one.
more reviews to come, including winter solstice and Halloween raves. (sober)

We were there, both in our mid-late 40’s and deffo weren’t the oldest people about!
Love the vibe, everyone soooo friendly 😊
Will make it our annual pilgrimage now for sure
Xxx
That's so good to hear, coz thus yeah I didn't see enough 40s+ as I'd like to. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I expect I'll definitely be going again next year also :) thank you for your comment :) have a lovely Sunday 🫶
You were funny on that carousel! but wow what a festival, my son went two years ago and had a crazy first festival experience. I didn't realise it was a drum and bass festival, in my day it was all trance and techno! and I did love all that, think there was drum and bass too....times have changed and yes where were the oldies?! it did look like a younger crowd. Nice to see it all though. Crazy days.
It was a really awesome experience. Shame I didn't record as much as I wanted to but yeah last year there were loads of older people I barely saw any, is what a lot of people that just wanted to rave and get totally off they're trollies, including me but yeah it was a lot of drum and bass but there were lots of little venues that had some really great Irish rock and indie bands, there was plenty of techno there too but mostly it's drum and bass at the moment as that genre has been getting massive as of late but looking forward to next year as it did feel a little lackluster this year but overall a fantastic experience and everyone is sooo lovely there, definitely one of the friendliest festivals around. Next year I want to work there and not do any drugs. Perhaps some mushrooms for a nice experience. But that would be it. The drgs kinda ruined a lot of the experience for me, but it was something I had to learn to really realise that you don't need all that shit to have a fantastic time. And that carousel was crazy I was a bit too off my trolly to love it too much 😂 but blow out done and I feel satisfied knowing that (I hope) will be the last time I do anything like that (drgs wise) again. I just want a little spiritual healthy trip again if I ever go again. I hope to see more older people there next year. I felt rather old there. Or at least looked it haha x
@@Pyxlmynd you did well, I definitely wouldn't have got on that carousel in that state! the idea of a little spiritual healthy work trip next time, made me chuckle, I hope you do....🙂I think you might you have just graduated to new/oldie ....!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 a new oldie. Haha that made me laugh. So true!! Finally just about feelclike I'm nearly an adult. So it's about bloody time lool
I was there. I'm 70. Pretty much straight the whole time and I loved it 😍 And yes quite the variety of visible female anatomy 😅
So good to hear that you were there! I didn't see as many 'oldies' as I hoped. I felt like I was one of the oldest there 😂 and yeah it was a sight for sore eyes 😂 what a great time! But yeah next time all I'm going to do is maybe some mushrooms and vibe. But thank you for the comment. 😊 Welcome welcome! 🙏 🫶
Awesome mate!!It definitely was banging. The lights were all so beautiful. I would have loved the ride. I love anything from coasters to water slides. Thanks for sharing mate! ☮️✌️☮️
My pleasure, I just wish I recorded more haha x
I may be too old for those kinds of affairs now. Especially with that chemical menu. Went to festivals when I was younger in the late 90s early 00s. Bob Dylan looked at me and laughed in 1998. Probably the highlight.
🤣🤣🤣 really!!!? Haha what a takeaway! I'd love for someone that legendary too laugh at me 😂 although all you legends that (if) laugh at me is plenty enough for me. But yeah what a cracking time. Wish I recorded more but was maybe a bit too fcked haha
I'm 70. Pretty much straight the whole time and I loved it :)
@newgabe09 ahhh I'm so glad to hear. I saw so many extra younger people there and it kinda made me sad barely saw any oldies haha. I felt like I was the oldest there. And absolutely, next time I'm not doing anything. Perhaps some mushrooms and that be it for me. Butbyeah what a great time nevertheless. So refreshing to see this kind of comment :) welcome welcome haha 🙏 🫶

Nah. Gimme 2013 boomtown anyday. Sorry but it just ain’t the same festival it used to be.
It wasn't as good as last year. And definitely going down hill excuse the pun. And it does feel as if it's lost its magic a bit. Shame! I wanna save for tonorrrowland instead tbf
This music is garbage
Not a fan of drum and bass and indie rock bands no? 😂😂
