- I have heard a lot of friends talk about Rocky Peak in Simi Valley and we finally got to check it out! This place has endless amounts of trails. It had a little bit of everything and we only got to ride two trails so I can't wait to be back. Rock gardens, rock slabs, steep sections, jumps, high speed sections and more. The two trails we got to ride were called Hummingbird and Undertow. Considering it was our first time we took the trails causiously and stopped at sections that looked needed to pick out some lines. The wind on this day was also soooooo CRAZY! I have ridden in some strong winds but this was probably the craziest. At one point in the video it showed how the wind was so powerful that it lifted up my bike and almost took me with it haha.
Thank you for watching and joining me on all my Mtb adventurous, where to next!!!???

Love your enthusiasm both when you are enjoying sections, and when you laugh because you are approaching the edge of your comfort zone. It's great to watch 😀
Thank you! These trails were so fun
Awesome conquering the wild Winds 💝!!!
I'm not gonna lie, if you make 15 or 18 min videos I would love to watch them all because I personally watch your videos when I'm eating and I take my time... your energy, and enthusiasm seems so genuine and that makes this channel so unique! Thanks for your great content!
What a blast , great riding .
You should come back and ride when its not windy. There is a lot of awesome trails, nice ride though 🤙🏼👍
The wind can get crazy in this area. Can't believe you road through that. Trails are super tech and steep. There are some huge drops over there.
Great Vid!.. My Wife and I love that your “Van” is always “Clean” and not Dirt Baggy looking!.. Well done!
Thank you! I clean everyday I would not be able to let it get dirty and be ok with it hahah
I watch quite a bit of videos. These trails look fun
Great ride! Alan’s jacket blowing in the wind made him look like Batman when he was riding!
You’ve doubled you subs since I started watching you. Well deserved! The content keeps getting better. Thanks for the great entertainment while I rode the trainer
What an insane ride! Can’t wait to see Alan’s perspective. That wind! Wow!
Heck yeah, Heather! What a rad day! The wind was crazy but our crew had too much stoke to let that bug us. 🤘🏾
FYI, when the Santa Ana's come to town, it is always windy at Rocky Peak.
I hit Undertow for the first time last week and after riding it, I’m super impressed how well you handled the large steep rock slab into the chunky waterfall section! Good riding!
Great job riding these trails under these crazy windy conditions. Risky and super dangerous! Like you said, the winds literally move you.
That place looks siiick! Great job tackling all that tech!
Windy so challenging
Heather you remain the biggest badass rider.!! Watching you ride had me grabbing the brakes, even though I’m sitting in my kitchen watching on my iPad. Amazing place and fabulous riding keep these videos coming >. DK
I found myself holding my breath watching some of this! Nothing like this in Miami! Awesome ride!
Love me some Rocky Peak riding! It was so fun watching you tackle those gnarly, techy, steep lines on HB and UT! Next time you're there, definitely checkout The Grudge! And, if you're traveling to Vegas, hit me up and I'll make some Red Rock Riding suggestions! Great vids as always Heather! Love it!
Nice!
I hike up there a few times a week. I’m absolutely amazed by all you bikers! This was so fun to watch because as fun as it looks, I’d kill myself! I’m glad you all had a great time!
Really liking the wider camera view. I may be wrong and it may be just me, but I think I see your handle bars a bit further away.
Awesome riding and a great video. You can sure tell you are enjoying it. The only thing close to this in Georgia is Mulberry Gap in north Georgia. Again really enjoy the videos and how happy you are when you ride
The high five where he grabbed your hand 👀
Video very good coolshow screen
Nice! I used to live in Simi Valley but now in Camarillo. The Santa Ana winds hit hard in Simi as well as Camarillo.
Can you recommend any mtb trails that are well traveled? I'm just getting into it.
@@Jose-sy1je Pretty much all of Rocky Peak but those are all black diamond. In Cam, Santa Rosa Valley Park has a fun blue called Peninsula, a very beginner friendly green trail called Hawk, and another blue - blackish called Lichen. There is also Shooting Star which is able and run but the climb is rough.
Thousand Oaks, China Flat is very beginner friendly but Suicide and Dead Cow are Black Diamonds. Suicide is really fun.
Wow! I love watching your videos. You provide such a unique perspective and you have sooo much fun! I need to ask, what bike(s) do you ride? I am a 4' 11" woman, just starting out mountain biking. So hard to find good bikes that fit me. Can't wait to see more videos so keep 'em coming!
Heather mucho gusto mirarte otra ves mucho viento es peligroso navida viene ojala pase con tu familia ahua bendiciones u felicidad para ti amiga
Yo your are v v good rider 😍💯💯🤘🤘🤘❤❤🌹
💪👌
And i dont mean too say this late bc i see your already away from simi valley but we have alot of good trails! Corriganville is and example
Corriganville is also for mountain biking? You mind recommending some others? I'm in the San Fernando valley and am planning to get a mountain bike. A little scared though, so I'm looking for trails with plenty of people
You were flying on these trails
I didn't know Specialized made kites.
Hey Heather, what head tube angle did you choose on your stumpy evo?
What kind of pressures do you run in these conditions for fork shock and tires? fan of cush core at all?
Well, you and Maddie have inspired me so I went and got a Diamondback 29 to go with my GT 24 bmxer, impatiently waiting for it to get here 😬 Actually did some research and found out I have some mountain bike trails pretty close by in Florida 😃
7:15 🪁Lol😂😂😂
Love/Hate Rocky Peak. Love the trail when I finish, hate it for all the sketchy parts during.
I live a couple miles at 2000' elevation from your adventure, above Box Canyon, winds were 65 mph gusts that week
very beautiful place stay safe and enjoy biking
That's my backyard!!
That Chuy’s brings back a lot of memories 🍻
My old stomping grounds... I need to get back there.. So many more trails there than when I was last there..
Can you recommend some mtb trails in that area that have plenty of people?
simi valley It’s literally the windiest place I have ever been.
The word Simi is taken from the Chumash “shimiji” which means, possibly, “clouds” or “wind” or “little white clouds that dance on the wind.”
I like this more 😁
Great video as always!
In the 90's I went horseback riding up there. The mountain bikers were very respectful and would stop until we walked by. I am not an expert rider and my horse was an antsy arab, so their thoughtfulness was appreciated
Fantastic video Heather wow that down hill trail going down the rocks look great fun . How come you don’t ride your E bike only seen it in one video. I’m so looking forward to seeing you in your next adventure Heather take care 😊
I live out here, simi valley means "windy" valley in the native toungue. Lmao
Muy buen video cada video nuebo reto cuando
Q buen video! Saludos
Hi wat tire pressure u running inthat hill thanks
The Santa Ana winds this year have been extra ferocious. Add in Rocky Peak, and sister, you are the real deal. It's so weird on a mountain bike when it is really windy because you think either something is wrong with the bike, or your equilibrium is off. No, it's just the wind wanting to blow you off the trail. Nothing but respect Heather for your MTB skills.
WOW. Can't imagine trying to ride in those winds. Crazy!
"Oh jeez! It's just gets worse!" 🤣❤️
Loving it. Such awesome videos that make me want to go out and ride. Keep dropping bangers!
Nothing like hearing the downhill giggles. Ha ha! That wind looks no bueno.
I use too train there when I was a active Triathlete and Marathoner back in the 90's , now it's a hiking trial to technical for me. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
Do you see plenty of mountain bikers there? I'm looking for a well traveled trail.
It’s to rocky for me , wipe outs and sore elbows! Early morning it’s empty.
