Hello,
I grew up on a big dairy farm 8 miles from the Bob Evans farm. My parents always said they went to Bob Evans’ very first place: (they were born in 1925 & 1926) a hot dog stand & truck stop in Gallipolis, Oh. He had hot dogs, chips, & cans of pop.
The food looked very delicious in your video. I’ve never seen the sandwich on the menu. I missed it, I guess.

For some reason Bob Evans never settled in GA. They are in all surrounding states, including FL, but skipped us! I have eaten at several in FL and really enjoyed their food. I love pumpkin pie and that slice would be just a tease. I usually eat twice that size.
We thought everything was very good. We like pumpkin pie too.😎😎
All the Bob Evens restaurants but the one at Gallipolis Ohio where sold to a conglomerate the one that owns Applebees and Red Lobster. The farm restaurant is the last of the stores actually owned by Bob Evens. They do have the best Turkey and dressing meal but the whole menu has gone down hill over the years. My son in law worked for them for 8 years and while everything used to be made fresh, now everything, including their sausage gravy, mashed potatoes and soups come in frozen in plastic bags and are defrosted and are just reheated everyday. Nothing is made fresh. Even the salad mixes are pre packaged. They also have low wages and treat their staff like slaves. They never had paid vacation either. He quit two years ago and is now working in our local ALDI warehouse making twice the amount he made as a cook for Bob Evens, has paid vacation, health insurance and Holidays off.
They do have good stuffing and cranberry relish. Glad he got a better job.😎😎

I like my bread grilled or toasted like this. Great flavor. It's certainly a personal preference palate thing, but I would have loved it. One mans charred toast is another's Caviar!
Being from Cincinnati I love Bob Evans ( not as much as Cracker Barrel ) , Always have Their mashed potato's on Thanksgiving or any holiday. The holy cow cake looks like they are trying to compete with our local burger chain Frisch's ( Bob's Big Boy in other states ) hot fudge cake.
I’m from Cincinnati too. I know what you mean. I also loved Perkins too. Great Restaurants for sure.
When big boy was around my area that was one of my favorite desserts to get I do miss it but you can always make your own not the same but close
Big Boy and Perkins are also out of Ohio / Aka just Frisch’s Big Boy,the other names attached to Frisch’s Big Boy that, I never been inside of or ever ate at, is out of California and San Diego/ all the ones out of California!

The turkey dinner and turkey sandwich made my mouth water so delicious. The chocolate cake is the dessert I would pick. I can’t wait to watch the new Christmas Story movie and hope it’s as good as the original. The shop has amazing Christmas items and watching your videos really makes me happy. Happy Thanksgiving John and Bobbie!! Went to Bob Evans one year on Thanksgiving and the food and service were great, they elevated food and service that day so it was more special you received more food and dessert and had flowers on the tables...nice touch. Only thing missing was being with family. If you don't want to cook, are working or not able to visit family/friends, its a great option.

I don’t like cranberry sauce out of the can, I like the cranberry relish you can sometimes find in the freezer section, with the orange juice in in it, I also, like the cranberry jello salad with pecans, I like it when, it’s nice and cold.
I do not like it out of the can either. I have made the cranberry salad before very good. I have never seen it in the freezer section before. I will have to look for it.😎😎

Everybody from the Midwest, stand up, this is your moment. With theme of eating today, how many people down south know about Bob Evans?? We got Waffle House (ATL), Cracker Barrell (TN), they even got Denny’s from California(don’t get me started in the last time I was at Denny’s, not a great experience) but in the Midwest, particularly Ohio, Bob Evans is the big dog breakfast joint. I used to work at Best Buy in TN back in HS and we had a Bob Evans right in front of our store. Never ate there but always said I would one day. I recently noticed we don’t have any down here but that may be because they don’t want no smoke with Waffle House lol. Even Cracker Barrells are scarce down here and really only out in the rural counties here. I can already hear someone from the Midwest singing “Down on the farm…” lol.

This Bob Evans is much bigger than the 1 here in Chambersburg, Pa. Gift shop is practically non-existent. My aunts, uncles & cousins meet at Bob Evans every month. Merry Christmas kids.👍☺️

Does/did Bob Evans serve Cajun catfish? Back in 2003 i ordered Cajun catfish in Indianapolis, but couldn’t remember if it was at a Bob Evans. In recent years I’ve been trying to find local restaurants (Los Angeles area) that serve Cajun catfish but haven’t been successful yet.
I'm not sure. I don't remember seeing that on the menu.😎😎

I'm like you Bobbi .Love cranberries. I add a half jar of orange 🍊 marmalade to my cranberries. Sauce or fresh cooked .Along with sugar to taste

We have a Bob Evans here in Cadillac Michigan. We do not have the gift shop. I didn't know some stores had a gift shop. I love their turkey dinner. And I love my bread crispy on a sandwich.

Which Bob Evans is this? There are not many Bob Evans with the General Store One Location is Morgantown WV There was one in Williamsburg VA Late 80s but did not stay open long. The double cheese pot roast sandwich is good. I was a server at Bob Evans in Frederick MD their dinner rolls are a lot smaller now than they were when I worked for them

I was not impressed with those roast potatoes Bobbe had, throw those out the window. Your bread was burnt on your sandwich I just sent that back. OK what’s left we have mashed potatoes and gravy they look good and we have turkey sliced turkey and stuffing it looked OK I don’t know the prices all know I’ll give it about 80%. I would not go back

I was a BobEvans this morning for breakfast. It’s not seven Thanksgiving but you could only get certain specials and nothing from the regular menu. I got up and left.

Bob’s used to be WAY better before the current corporation bought it. The quality of the food, the service, the menu, the management is all worse now. Used to be one of my favorite places to go - not anymore 😕. I’m in Ohio btw.

I had to give BE up. I can not eat it. Flavor is fine, but I end up vomiting everytime I eat it???? Sometimes before we even get to the car. Not sure why but its been that way for about 2 years. PS I live in Southern Ohio and I'm in my 60s so I wonder if they have changed something.

That looked awesome. There is a Holiday Sandwich at Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs that is available year round. I get it every time! If we make it to Bob Evans I will try this one too. It looked good, but they did burn it a little!

We have a Bob Evans 6 miles from our house- It’s been there 30+ years- it’s hit or miss depending on the dish- if I can’t get fresh from the butcher, we buy bob Evans sausage

It’s Brioche Bread I thought I said that right don’t remember. It was done a little to crispy but still tasted good. I have been sick for around 3 weeks now with a cough appreciate you asking. Can't get rid of it. 😎😎

Fun fact...I live in Rudolph ohio. We have a sign that says welcome to Rudolph the former home if Bob Evans at the 4 corners, I believe he lived here for a short time as a kid and the house he lived in looks like a barn.

I make a holy cow cake that is not like that lol. The holy cow cakes I've ever seen are a chocolate/or German chocolate cake with sweetened condensed milk and Caramel on top when warm, cover let cake cool then put your whipped cream and choice of crushed candy on top. 😊 it is a fan fave at my house every holiday.

So happy you did this video! My family always went to Bob Evans for holiday meals as my parents grew older...this is the first year my son and his family and I will go together without them. It's a comfort for me :) That being said I wish my Bob Evans had a gift shop! I would have loved to have bought some of those leaves and sunflowers for my fall tree! Make sure they give you what you paid for. Just got their Farmhouse Feast for Thanksgiving through carryout. They left off our Apple pie and dinner rolls. Had to make a second trip to pick those up. I guess my time meant nothing to them as they didn't offer anything for the trouble of a second trip.

I love Bob Evans! There is only one left in my area. Not that close but I Door Dash them all the time. Already tried the pumpkin pie and it was very good.

Back in June, I canned some strawberry rhubarb pie filling, and I'm breaking out a jar on Thanksgiving, to make strawberry rhubarb dump cake in the slow cooker! 🤤

Bob Evans has been super special in my family as its how my parents met nearly 50 years ago. We periodically visit the original farm in Rio Grand, Ohio. I highly recommend visiting if you live in Southern Ohio. Its beautiful!!!

That chocolate cake reminds of a dessert my mom taught me in the 70s! It was a chocolate pudding cake, from (I think) the Betty Crocker cookbook. Yum!

Absolutely love Bob Evans. Sorry to say the only Bob Evans we had here in Massachusetts was in the town of Westborough, and they closed the restaurant about 15 years ago. I don't know why they closed. They always seemed to be busy, and the food was always delicious. I always loved getting "The Sunshine Skillet" breakfast. Really miss Bob Evans😥

7:38 - omg, i had to pause again, yes, their store bought mashed potatoes are the bomb. i got 2 large things of them to serve at thx giving. yes, sure, anyone can make mashed pots, but theirs are great, quick, easy, as i have so much else to cook and do, i just melt some butter, add the tators to the pot, put in a little onion and garlic powder and they are a hit. ok, back to the video.
We buy the Mash Potatoes and the Mac n Cheese from them in store. You can’t go wrong with them. 😎😎
