As both a dancer, coach and judge, the first set of Al La Second turns were off on the left side. Look at the very center of your screen with no focus on either side and you’ll see a second of delay on the turn sequence. When we judge that’s how we judge synchronicity.
i think the emotion and story behind the OSU performance, yes the technique may be better here , but with OSU you they had emotion and executed what they were portraying, you can’t really tell what’s happening here in this routine
@@unbroken4290they did great but ohio deserved that win. there movement was far more complex and the passion and every behind the dance only made them look better.
@@JenetzenGamez it was the storytelling and props that took Ohio over the edge. I watched them first and watched Minnesota. Minnesota didn't miss one beat though. Still impressive.
Okay I understand why people say they were robbed this looked like perfection, but the Ohio state performance just evoked more emotion out of me. I don’t know if story telling, passion and creativity is a part of the judging if so osu probably won on that.
As a dancer I have to say that I felt Minnesota should have won it’s just my opinion but Minnesota made me feel something and Ohio didn’t and I think Minnesotas turns were definitely better
I think the judges were in error by giving OSU the title. This was an incredibly difficult dance. Choreography was brilliant, the dancers were in sync with movements and emotions. GREAT job team!
@courtneyemily91 - to me, the OSU performance was good but not edgy or risky - all art is risky and edgy. OSU was cute but safe. My vote goes to Minnesota. Just inspiring!!!
They dance beautifully together. The moves though seem almost too ridged, sharp for the song. I was expecting the moves to be more elegant and flow more softly.
Don’t get me wrong this was absolutely fantastic. But I will say, OSU outperformed them. They were far more exciting to watch and as a dancer, that is just as important as the technique. I, personally, didn’t feel anything watching this performance. With OSU, I felt the passion in their movements.
I agree. This was indeed technically sound but robotic. I liked OSU better. There's just something about OSU's stage presence that trumps this performance
Not a pro but i think they did them selves a dis favor by putting the best oart at the beginning. Choreo should build to a climax. I kept waiting for there to be another spectacular sequence ans got to the end and it was just over. Not to disxredit from the skill or execution, just think the format/aequence was what cost them the title.
someone here said “sharp but boring” and i kind of agree because yes though there is great technique you can’t really see the emotion or story behind what’s happening, they did better than i ever could and im a trained dancer, but at the same time OSU ran laps around Minnesota
Incredible unity, buuuuut I can understand why OSU won. This choreography just simply doesn't go with the music AT ALL. They should have done a more high-energy song to match the choreo. OSU's number, in my opinion, demonstrated more artistry and expression. Sure, this dance was more technically difficult, with more tricks and turns, but is that all that dance comes down to? Athleticism? When I watch dance, I want to feel something more than "damn that's crazy." OSU's dance made me tear up, this one did not.
As a dancer, THOSE TURNS WERE SO IN SYNC OH MY GOSH.
But, good job to all the dancers that preformed that day!

Rewatching it, I just saw it. But its helpful to know what judges are looking for sometimes!!
@@brenanabread09 absolutely. A trick I learned when I judged my first competition many many years ago.
20 year anniversary of the last time they did Dream On at nationals. Did not disappoint.
as a dancer who’s been dancing for around 8 years; chills, literal chills.
Chills for sure! Agreed
They absolutely KILLED that number !!! So proud to be a golden gopher :))
Their synchronization is absolutely insane!
This was always one of my favorite songs by Aerosmith & this dance team is killing it. I can’t stop watching 💚💚💃
I literally have full body chills everytime I watch this routine
Twenty dancers, no missteps, perfect synchronicity, amazing.
I cant lie i watch this everyday wondering what went wrong growing up as a dancer wishing i could do this
EMOTIONAL!!
PHENOMENAL!!!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING SUCH AWE INSPIRING TALENT. 👏🏻
Super! Especially with a tune that has lotsa meaning to my generation!! 💓💞❤️
one heckuva piece of choreography!
Fabulous... 👏 Great job!!!!!
Absolutely stunning
Amazing. I want to go back to college so I could be on a dance team like that!
Absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥. Well done. 👏👏👏
LITERAL CHILLS
This was absolutely beautiful. ❤️❤️🥰
THEY are so good that was so cool and the Ariel into the turn was o clean
Those turns and Ariel’s were so good
What an Absolutely beautiful performance!!!
Oh My Gosh! That was A-W-E-S-O-M-E !!!!
Gives me chills every time I watch it 😍
Awesome! Congratulations!
Perfection! ❤💃🕺
10/10, unbelievably good!
This was amazing.
Fantastic 🎉
How did they not win? I have watched both routines several times and this performance was more synchronised, more technical and cleaner than OSU.
i think the emotion and story behind the OSU performance, yes the technique may be better here , but with OSU you they had emotion and executed what they were portraying, you can’t really tell what’s happening here in this routine
Goosebumps all over
But they didn't win?? Omg that was just amazing!! ❤ Congrats to whoever beat that routine
Nope. They got robbed. The team that won wasn't as in sync. Also this one had more energy.
@@unbroken4290they did great but ohio deserved that win. there movement was far more complex and the passion and every behind the dance only made them look better.

Great 👍🏻 👌🏻 👍🏻 👌🏻
Yesss! This turn set is actually from Minnesota’s dance team Jazz 2024 routine!
Wowza🎉

THE PURE TALENT IS JUST…..
UGHHHHHH
They can turn that’s for sure
Insane
Bravo, that was so enjoyable. Everyone of these girls must be dancers and/or gymnasts.
Proud Alumni
INSANE
Well done, Gophers!
I neeeeed de name of the coreographer!!!!! I cant believe it. IT WAS REALLY AMAZING!!!!
It was self-choreographed
OH MY GOD A TRIBUTE. 2004. LETS GO FUCKING TEAM I LOVE THIS TEAM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW JUST WOW
they got robbed they deserved first that was absolutely incredible! GO GOPHS!
they deserved second place, but theirs was really good swell
agree to disagree then
They didn’t place first??
It was beautiful, but didn’t have enough story in the dance
@@stylewithmegan9984 Nope, they gave to Ohio for having a story and a prop

Noo…Cuz I watch it on mute cuz I’m in public and shivers by Ed Sheeran was playing….it kinda matches
Did they win?
They came in 2nd
😢 2nd place
Robbed of first. IMO
They should have won.

how did u not feel anything watching this😭 there is so much emotion in this dance, especially compared to osu
I have to agree, it doesn't take away from the sheer talent and dedication of this team, but that OSU performance haunts me (in a good way) lol.
You try dancing to a slower classic rock tune, I would have said impossable to choregraph!

They're good but LSU was better
Absolutely robbed. Osu was far less technical and significantly more messy.
They were hood. But OSU was better. OSU had a show. Minn looked like cheer show.
Robbed. This was far, far better than OSU.
Sharp but boring 🤷🏽♀️
