i know nothing about dance teams, but i cant imagine how you can synchronize that many people on the turns so perfectly -- on every one. that was crazy
WAYYYYYYYY better than yesterday. I noticed Zilch, NONE, NO mistakes today. I knew these guys would come back in the finals and KILL IT. SLAYYYED it. If they don't win the title, something is not right with how things are being judged. GO GOPHERS!!!!!!🎉🥇👏
Matt went high on relevé in that second set of fouetté turns, but he was on time. Other than that, I have no clue what you are seeing. No points would be, or shall I say, should be deducted for that.
mrballoffur the girl on OSU in the center fell out of her turns quite obviously and they somehow beat this incredible performance where i see no “mistakes on turns” so idk what you’re watching. they were robbed. plain and simple and everyone knows it
@@averyjohnson1777 it was literally less than a 10th of a mark difference between them. And OSU had a higher root mark to begin with. Both teams were brilliant. It could have just as easily gone the other way.
Mine too! I initially saw clips on instagram and i immediately needed the full version of this. I watched OSU and LSU and enjoyed them both but not as much as this.
That was as close to perfection as it gets! OUTSTANDING! Hope that they win EVERY award, they are more than deserving! The passion and choreography goes into another level! They impress all who are lucky to see them!
One of the dancers on the right steps out of bounds at 1:57. That's one of the reasons for big deductions and is a huge hit to anyone saying this team is technically perfect. I found their turns and technique to be impressive but the choreography was lacking. Their formations were often cluttered and their lines not straight. They had a lot of transitions that did not flow smoothly where they simply walked in to place.
I had no reason at all to watch this. Just clicked on it. And was mesmerized. Each of them were absolutely perfect. That is talent and dedication. Bravo.
never have the lyrics “you have to lose to know how to win” been more true. they won in everyone’s eyes. idk what grudge the judges had against them but this is easily the best performance. congrats to the gophs!
makes absolutely no sense they are 100% the winners in my eyes after finding out Ohio had travis wall choreograph theres and Minnesota’s was choreographed by themselves and had THE Matthew Greco in their dance.
By comparison, MN was technically great. The choreography, in my opinion was not he best match for the song. The difference between MN's and OSU's performances was the artistry. The OSU dancers really communicated the message of the song, dancing with passion and expression. MN dancers' choreography wouldn't allow them to show that level of artistry and style. Their extensions and turns were amazing, but musicality, presentation, and execution of choreography in OSU's performance outshines this one for me.
Oh my goodness. I understand the hype this is the most in sync dance I've ever seen and I grew up dancing. Honestly brought a tear to see and hear the audience enjoy it so much. You all are absolutely insane. Just top notch. So impressive. Definitely re-watching and rewinding to catch it all. Wow.
Wonderful performance. This is the perfect example of what passion, teamwork and commitment to achieving a goal can do in a group of people united by the same feeling of love for dance. Keep up the good work.
I literally watch this every other day. I urge y'all to pick one dancer and follow only her, or Matt, the entire time. Then start over and pick another dancer. SO mesmerizing!! I grew up dancing for 15 years, and now my girls dance. The most magical thing is how no two dancers will ever dance the same exact routine all the way through. Amazing ❤🎆
And these chills are why I miss dancing and regret not trying harder to be a choreographer ABSOLUTELY AMAZING job to not only the dancers but the choreographer as well. BEAUTIFUL WORK
HOLY SH*T!!! That was amazing! Well done everyone. I held my breath, waiting for something to go wrong and .............. NOTHING did. CONGRATS TEAM!!! M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A!
I CAN'T STOP WATCHING! Good lordy! Incredible technique and holy smokes Batman... who did this choreography? Genius! I'm thinking many of these dancers are from Larkin... one of the finest studios I've judged. ( and that was 25 years ago... Unforgettable!)
I don’t know anything about dance, what’s good (besides obvious things like falling down etc.) but this did look great! How in sync they are to my untrained eye! Well done!
Ok that just made me cry it was so good, great job team! I also liked how you walked off the stage like the bosses you are and were like yup, we just did that.
Crying. I don't know a single person in this video but as someone who danced in high-school and college myself, this got me in my feelings. Absolutely incredible. Also (now with my "mom" goggles on lol) it was really nice to see sheer talent and not overly sexualized costumes and movements. All around excellent. ❤
One thing I am always wonderfully amazed by in a lot of NCAA and American college sports and dance and cheer is just how fucking HYPE and full of enthusiasm and crowd support everyone is. It’s pretty awesome
Im an Aussie who knows nothingabout cheering or dance, i got chills and cried watching this... and then to hear it came 2nd?!?! to who and what did they do?????
Referred to the video by Deputy Pat Scott with "Live On Patrol" with the Ramsey County Seriff's Office. Don't usually like vids like this but, WOW! the synchronization was off-the-chain good. The music was killer too.
Amy I the only one who remembers that they did this exact song at this exact competition in 2004? I have it recorded on VHS Was this done on purpose? 20 year anniversary?
University of Minnesota demographics: 59.6% White, 10.1% Asian, 6.13% Black or African American, 4.93% Hispanic or Latino, 3.87% Two or More Races, 0.355% American Indian or Alaska Native, and 0.0611% Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islanders. With these numbers not surprising. They are all technical dancers and they can't have anyone standing out and POC's naturally bring flavor with them. The only one that really stands out is the one guy.
Amazing!! And it's nice to see a man be part of the team.. not a man posing as a woman to be part of a female dominated sport of cheering. I hope more male dancers/cheerers join the team
Nice work done by a synchronized, choreographed group of gymnasts and ballet dancers. Not unlike what some Chinese troupes have been doing as impressively well for many years. Good cheers from the crowds, too.
can you imagine the judges panel not picking them and then see how viral this performance has done on the internet, hardly anyone is watching the winners routine
The synchronization of those turns gave me absolute chills - so proud of Minnesota!
i know nothing about dance teams, but i cant imagine how you can synchronize that many people on the turns so perfectly -- on every one. that was crazy
That’s exactly why the crowd went bezerk lmao so badass
I’m an LSU girl, but this team should have taken 1st. This choreography and talent is outstanding!
I’m an FSU girl. LSU was unreal.
I whole-heartedly agree with you @Summer.Golden
@@Crystaldegreef LSU gave me chills

There was a mistake on turns

There was a point deduction because a dancer step out of floor after turn sequence, Ohio didn’t have any step out of floor.
Im a old boomer from Canada and have watched this at least 5 times. Spectacular!
UNBELIEVABLE! The execution of the choreography made my heart swell and brought tears to my eyes. Incredible!
Mine too! I initially saw clips on instagram and i immediately needed the full version of this. I watched OSU and LSU and enjoyed them both but not as much as this.
Have no idea how this wasn't first place. Amazing performance! Jawdropping!

The skill level of each individual is phenomenal, and then to be choreographed so seamlessly....that was a joy to watch.

I know nothing about dance and even I know this is what perfection looks like lol. Amazing
Their technique is EVERYTHING! Sooo good! 😮❤
Absolutely beautiful turns, the synchronization is so fun to watch!
This was an incredible performance and they picked the perfect song for it. Fantastic job that everybody did!
Wonderful performance. This is the perfect example of what passion, teamwork and commitment to achieving a goal can do in a group of people united by the same feeling of love for dance. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful. They have brought honor and hard work to this state

Never knew this existed until now. This performance gave me goosebumps ❤
Wow! The music went with the expressions so well. And the turns were on point. Nice to see a male in the mix.
I can’t even with yall. Watched it twice and still cry each time. Perfect music and choreography and y’all effing NAILED it. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is a beautiful callback to the first routine I fell in love with of theirs from 2004 ❤
Absolute chills every time I watch this. Icons- every one of them
I'm a LSU STAN... but can't lie. This was excellent.
The a la second turns are out F’in rageous
What well trained dancers!!!
If they dont win i will be absolutely shocked
Well 😅
How did they not WIN?! This was fantastic, incredible ...you could go on and on.
i think there was a deduction when the gal farthest left stepped off mat, which is the pits because this is perfect in every other way
@@vanessapierson4913 I believe you can step off the mat but you can’t end off the mat
Outstanding!! Kudos to the dancers, coaches and the choreographer!!
it was self choreographed by the team!
My absolute favorite! Just incredible precision coupled w/a Little Rock-n-Roll! Exquisite!

I'm impressed, I didn't even know where to look, there was so much going on at the same time.
woahhh that synchronization was crazy! at first it i was like this is gonna be a messy dance, but no! Great job Minnesota, hope they got 1st

I was a dancer nowhere near on this level and I was also a gymnast so trust me when I say believe this is some crazy athleticism
Bravo. Minnesota gets second and goes viral. Ohio wins and nobody is talking about it. Should tell the judges all they need to know.

i screamed when they all did an aerial out of a turn…and continued turning wtf
That was simple the best I have seen ! Great job Mn Dance 💃 🕺 team !!!
Hit the settings icon and allow the video to
.75 or .50
THEN MARVEL at how tight this routine is!
Well done!!!

I remember it! I think I may still have it recorded as well.
Sick! That was unbelievable!
My favorite college dance team since 2004 when they performed the same song! 👏
2nd place my ass! What the hell that was crazy
They all were amazing but I liked watching the boy the best 🔥
And the fact they choreographed it themselves. Just how
