I was a little sad that Team Scissors lost as I was on their team but what's done is done. This Splatfest demo was easily the greatest one we've ever had. I'm so hyped for the full game!
Only problem I saw was the tricolor turf war. As a fellow rock anjoyer, the battles were tbh, really unfair and hard to access if you were rock or paper. Hoepefully it really is just a testfire and it will be better in the final game

tri color was pain, trying to keep both teams away from the unlta signal while also having to ink turf and give out drinkies to my team (i was playing in a vc with friends because lord knows how hard it is without a team that knows what to do and how to do it)
That's the catch, if you got a decent team then keeping the others away from the signal while inking comes pretty simple. If you got a bad team it gets gnarly real fast. One time I was stuck with a bunch of teammates who kept dying over and over while the signal was seized both times, and we only managed to win by .1% because I decided to just ink as much as I could in the last minute. You gotta be super mindful about both things as the defenders, but ultimately the amount of turf you have matters in the end. A lot of people I played with tended to forget that, oof
I want him to randomly speak an actual line at some point and when everyone looks at him like “wait you can speak?” He just goes “Ay?” and never brings it up again

I was playing with this guy called NG squid and they were the best partner I had because they used big bubbler while I grabbed the ultra signal two times in a row

Two things I think hold Tri-color from being more balanced: the ultra signals being indestructible and having no duration, and there being little to no incentive for the two attacking teams to compete against each other. Their is no real counter play or comeback and the attackers gain everything from ensuring the defending team losses, and I am saying this as a member of team paper
They DID. The problem was is that splatoon made the ultra signal like this so you and your team could actually use good teamwork, instead YALL kept dying trying to always protect the ultra signal, some people need to turf too
