I currently have the Hyroad X. Is the dark code a good replacement ball?

That depends on what you mean when you say “replacement”.

More hook potential and backend snap hitting the pocket.

Then dark code would definitely be a step up for you cause the Hyroad is a symmetrical and the dark code is an asymmetrical. Also the RG and differential numbers between the Hyroad x and dark code show that the dark code will hook a little later but have way more backend then the Hyroad x.

Can I use the Hy-Road as a good step down ball?

    • @FrankTheTankBowling
      @FrankTheTankBowling  3 года назад +1

Yes, Because it has a symmetrical core and a higher RG than the dark code and lower differential as well. Which means it will roll later and hook less than the dark code.

I also switched from 1 handed to 2 not too long ago. I used to use an Astro Physix, but with my rev rate I’m throwing a spare ball cross lane almost all the time. Good luck on your two handed journey👍

Just watched a video of you 2 years ago when you did the hyroad and pitch black review and man glad to see your form is more fluent and consistent. Keep practicing and making these videos and you will make a show. Good luck.

Like the new style but miss the audio effects. Especially when you got the hambone on game 2

I note that each shot your hand is in a different spot on release some shots are more around it and others in the middle of up the back and around the ball

Soooo.... Something took my attention, honestly... It hooks well... TOO WELL and it's strong like Trend.
Although i am planning to get a 12 lbs version of it (i am a lightweight bowler...) or maybe some other ball, idk.
But, let me explain: Although Trend is a ''Signature Series'' ball. Dark Code is a ''Premier Series'' ball,
what caught my eye was that, their motions on lanes are SIMILAR.
    Both has:
    - Early lane reading
    - Can hook all the boards on the lane (depends on the oil too ofc!)
    - A little difficulty to control (seems like it and ofc, it's another variable from person to another!)
    - Strong (high) hook level
    - 1500 GRIT Polish
    - And Pearl Reactive Coverstock.
Sooo... COULD Dark Code be RELATED to Trend somehow? Even though they have different weight blocks/cores? Soooo curious! Very curious!
edit: And, i hope you can get your hands on a Trend 2 and show us what T2 has! :)

Hi dude. From my perspective, there are a couple of things I saw. First: You showed us the Dual Angle layout you chose for this ball. Awesome! This is the first step to be pro, I mean, if you go to bowl with a unknown drill layout or just a standard one (pin up | down the ring finger) it is not enough to improve your game because there are so many variables to count in the physics that only one more just adds uncertainty to the outcome. We ought to know your DNA (PAP, Axis Tilt & Axis Rotation).
Second: The format is more like the others who review too, i.e. just the throw and not the whole thing. If you look Tamer bowling reviews, he has very concise reviews and he shows too his layout. Two thumbs up! (he adds music too 😎)
Finally: I was very keen on listening "HAMBONE!" and other effects, they were cool, but I didn't cause is not than easy to listen to them with comments I suppose.
Anyway, this is a big step to grow up and there will be things or flaws to correct, to change in every case. Just listen to the comments and make your choice, you decide. We are here to support our two handed community!
Saludos desde México en espera de regresar a las líneas de boliche.
