This is very late but in a not dissimilar circumstance the late Australian Rock Star Michael Hutchence was drastically brain injured after a fight. Hutchence got into a fight with a Taxi Driver. He was punched and caught his head on the corner of the road - a sharp blow to the front of his head. He went to bed for a week and when he eventually went to hospital the Doctor revealed that he had frontal lobe brain damage and his brain had literally bled from the injury. His then partner Helen Christensen revealed that his behaviour changed radically. From a gentle, bookish man he became very erratic, agressive and started taking risks, more drugs, more alcohol. He destroyed a cherished antique guitar of one of his best friends and laughed after he'd done it. He insisted the results of his accident remained secret and this was only revealed years after he died. A brain injury such as this that causes disinhibition and loss of impulse control PLUS absolute power, PLUS the kind of spoiled rotten childhood/trauma (due to the loss of his mother) strongly associated with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and yes that combination will result in what used to be known as a Psychopath. We now call this Anti-social personality disorder - this is intended to remove the stigma conferred on those who have this disorder. In respect of Henry, I think I still prefer Psychopath/Monster of the very worst kind so for me, Henry is the ultimate Git.

I think Catherine was the one wife that Henry actually loved at one time.
She was related to Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor . This decision would have caused a war.
