I always like reusing stuff when possible, economical and cost effective. But also the reason I have so much junk I don’t want to throw away because I might be able to use it later haha

You could make a removable dovetail that slots into the stake pockets. That is what I am doing with my ramp truck. 13 foot bed with 4 foot dove tail.
