Shield recharge delay stat on steel path is highly underrated

Avalanche also strips enemy defences. And arcane molt increases strength per elimination.

Frost is one of the easiest frames to use for Steel Path Circuit level cap runs. Snowglobe and Avalanche can keep defensive objects (and extractors) alive all the way to level cap. Also, your powers make level cap Jackal a cakewalk (although a lot of warframes make the Jackal a cakewalk).
Good playtesting session. As you're seeing, Frost needs to spam his abilities to survive, protect and maximize damage. A common playstyle is to always be casting his 4th and 3rd abilities. Frost does need energy management and range. If you add fleeting expertise and keep transient fortitude, you might have to add continuity for at least a little duration).
Overguard added per cast was better the second time mostly b/c of range, since range (and range changes) are quadratic changes (ie: surface area is radius squared). You went from 70% to 145% range, which increased surface area affected by 4.29x (and possible foes affected per cast by 4.29x). Also, your original 70% range dropped avalanche below the 15m armor passive range, so most foes wouldn't have cold procs, whereas you now have enough range, that now every foe that even enters your 15m armor passive range will already have cold procs, and buff your armor.

Farm cetus bounties for augur reach (30% range) when its available in the rewards rotation. I think it gets rewarded from the 4th bounty mission, when in rotation. There is a corrupted vault mod called overextended which gives 90% range, for negative -60% strength. minus 60 strength would usually be bad, but there's a lot of ways to stack strength back up to over 100%. Cunning Drift gives 15% which isn't much, but can be put in the exilus slot. You get Cunning Drift from the Orokin Moon test where you need to bait the big eye beam drone into destroying 4 pillars.

Still a really accessible guide to build crafting.

You absolutely want as much range as humanly possible while still keeping strength high enough to fully strip enemy armor in one cast for convenience purposes and good efficiency so you can get overguard in a pinch with icy avalanche.

I read all of the comments you dropped here, but for simplicity, I'll reply right here. Firstly, great info on adjustments to make. I was just playing w/ Frost yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I didn't adjust anything, other than I'm now back to Epitaph for status procs vs. Laetum for incarnon damage. You are correct, I have Laetum set-up for the high chance of 2000% extra damage on non-crits. Curious though, how does that synergize w/ Frost's kit?
The reason I was using Forst's 1 first, was to get some cold procs out first, then casting his 4 to get overguard. It testing it seemed to work better that way, but perhaps it was just random that it looked like that (i.e. there was a larger group of enemies in that test)?
Netracells, yes, WAY easier than normal SP missions in my opinion. Yeah, it was my first run, and my buddy was teaching me how it worked. Not sure I'd say that was easy because I got carried, in fact, next time I run a Netracell I'll pull up that stats at the end of it. I'd be shocked if I'm not one of the highest damage output & kill count people in the lobby. To be fair, my Dante (whom I use for Netracells over Rhino) hits WAY harder than my Rhino. I brought in Rhino on my first run for survivability on something brand new and higher level. Now and am working on being able to solo them (I'm very close now), but haven't yet made it. I'm actually recording another solo run today (that video will be live in a couple of weeks).

@@bakagaijingaming3018 The reason frost isn't good for the crit evolution of the latum is due to your crit chance/damage augment enemies who are frozen increase your crit chance on those enemies, thus you actually lower your damage with the leatum as you have less chance to not deal critical hits.
And no you absolutely get more overguard by first freezing enemies but its VERY minimal, its honestly a waste of energy as you only gain 50 armor per enemy. it's a better passive than his old one (chance to freeze enemies who melee you) but its honestly not worth focusing on it.

Biting frost is a really good augment, but the only thing that was benefiting from it here was Harmony. You don't have your incarnons set up for crits because of that one evolution you chose in the past.
You can see your bonus armor in the top right with that shield icon.
Range is important on Frost to hit as many enemies with avalanche as possible
Also you can cast multiple snow globes on top of each other to further boost its health instead of placing them around

You generally don't want to use multiple augment mods when those slots could be used for more important things like stat boosting mods.
Try sticking to only using one or two max.

Aso doesn't your letum have the damage boost when NOT doing crits? Frost is a bad choice for that gun

You need all the help you can get at this time if you're doing steel path solo. Time to start using your specters, hirelings and anything else you can summon like clem, infested that aoe heal you. And maxing out builds with forma. also make energy and health pads to drop when needed. en masse

you're lucky they've changed how icy avalange works, now you can get thousunds of overguard even with this kind of mod "setup". if it would be the same max what you would get was like 500 points, mb 1000 if you're lucky. don't need to say what the result would be in that case, it's in the first part of the vid. if you want to learn how to properly build anything, at least get all the vault mods and start maxing primed ones, and ffs do forma polarize and max out at least something.
p.s. if you want my setup for frost it's this - 170% strength, 280% range, 3 umbral mods(could replace with same regular ones), and icy avalange
