  • In today's video, I attached the Masterclass we did in the ROCD Course/Community. It's a topic the community members picked as we talked about the word "settling" in relationships.
Do you fear that you're settling?
Do you hear stories about settling which make you obsess?
    What is settling anyway?
How can you use this trigger as a way to awaken into your heart and relationship?
We talk about this, and so much more!

Sometimes it's really tough that everything is in English. After looking through the whole episode, I am not sure if I understood "settling" correctly ...
And somehow I just feel triggered after this episode. Do I use my partner to grow? And what if the process is done? Then do I push him away?
Sometimes it's really tough that there isn't any content in my native language. : /

My biggest value is serenity and for the past 3 months I have been feeling fear of missing out so much that forgot that I enjoy this calm and peaceful lifestyle. I don't even like parties and sleep around but I thought I did and start questioning my beautiful relationship. Thank you so much for this reminder!

I feel it is my mom and my sister who first triggered my anxiety. My sister said after 2 years in she felt like she wanted to look elsewhere because she felt she was too young to settle (she didn’t by the way, she is with her bf since 12 years ). My mom also said in the same discussion that she dumped my dad after 2 years and she dated a few guys before they started dating again ( they are divorced now though). My mom said it was inevitable and I will have to experience that, when I never, ever wanted that. But now that is have been 2+ years, I wonder sometimes if they are right. I feel it is so cruel to tell someone that, though. Just let people live their life!!
Ps : Why did they feel the need to date other guys when in the end they ended up with the same guy?? Makes no sense to me…

It’s really comforting and relaxing seeing that there’s a full community of people that are actually passing through the same thing as me.
Everything is going to be okay and we’ll recover from this hard thing.

I have a fear that I cannot grow in my current relationship. Like I will be stuck. He's very loving and secure. However, I, a people pleaser look for security in others. I feel like I will be subsumed in the relationship or not reciprocated to. If i give to him or others, I will be taken advantage of. But he is so chill. Over time he has grown more secure. But I was secure earlier and shaky now. I think I have gamophobia and committment issues. I have a lot of work to do. Like I cannot filll my own cup enough to give to others.
