I'm building new freestyle frame and found set of these R4 gems and planned to change bearings to them. Exciting to see how these old motors fly nowadays. Thanks for The video man! 👍
Worked perfectly! They were like new and I have bought them 2017 and crashed them like crazy! This saved me a lot of money because I have fistfull of old motors that sounds nasty and I'm planning to change bearings to all of them. Returner R4 is surprisingly good motor even nowadays. Littlebit heavy but durable for sure. Thanks again!
Thanks for the tip, I just replaced the bearings of 4 BH 2207 R5, one is still making some noise, maybe it has a slightly bent shaft, will see of the replacement bearing will hold. I put some WD-40 on the new bearing before insertion, it helps a lot. BTW, the original bearing in the R5s had no labelling on them, which is 'interesting' because the are supposed to be branded 'EZO Japan'. I just took apart other motors (PRIMO 2207) which have the 'EZO Japan' labelling …
Thanks for your feedback David! As i mentioned above, it worked on 3 of 4 Motors in my case. On one Motor i couldn't unscrew the Motor bell. And i also had a similar issue like you. The motor was still making noise after replacing the bearing, then i have replaced the new bearings again against new ones and then it was fine, so maybe i had a bad bearing out of the box or i've tightened it to much and so it was damaged. Thanks for the tip with the WD40!
Well done on getting it right! I tried getting my old bearings out of my old emax rs2205 by tapping them out and destroyed 3 motors lol. I guess it's important to be very gentle and patient doing it this way. I've got to change bearings on my steele motors and I'm just too worried about breaking them as well.
Hi, I think it will work the same. But most times I have tried to replace the bearings it didn't work. Some times I couldn't release the motor bell screw or after replacing the bearings the motor still was running rough. On my experience, it's around 50:50 to successfully replace the bearings.
Yes you're right Ryan, thanks for that advice, i will add it to my video description to be carefull with the motor windings. a ring spanner and a socket wrench would be better tools for this work. But in this case shown in the video it's just the quick and dirty way without special tools like mentioned in the video. I've already upgraded my tool box with better tools for this work.

how to find the 8*4*3 //////??? horizon hobby out
Ebay?
@@TorbanDallas thanks
why so many nuts between the screw head and the first bearing?
JC250 hey that's just for a better grip with the pliers ;)
Maybe my speaker isn't very good, but they sounded the same to me.
Don't use pliers. One slip and the winding is shot.
