Make sure u add a watermark though. In case someone takes ur track. Its happened to me! Also, send a mp3, not a 24 bit wave file! Go into software and add metadata. U can add metadata without it affecting the track.
Hi there guys, just a tip the track must be mixed for mastering for the label like in the video?, or the track must sounds good, and the label will provide for mix and mastering standards to the artist after? Or it depends about the label? . Kind regards.
manuyel96 you want to make sure that your track sounds the best, and it’s up to par with releases in the label you are sending demos for. If they want the track, they might ask to master it again or not. You just want to make sure your track sounds fire 🔥 so they get blown away
Thank you for the tips👍🏻 what do you think .. should you always upload the whole track to soundcloud or just a few minutes like a preview? I want to send my track to a label but the full track is already published on my soundcloud page it’s not private anymore .. is this a problem?
Montana Beats I think that you should send them a track that is not public. Labels want to feel special. You should send full tracks and allow them to download. If they download it’s a good sign. Don’t be afraid on the stealing it, if it’s that good they will ask for it. Thanks for having a look around my channel.
Mayen Music Thank you for your answer! I love your channel very informative👍🏻 what do you think how many tracks should you send in a demo? I read on the internet 1-3 tracks are ok in one demo
@@montanabeats8041 the 3 best ones you have and set them up in the emial like this: #1 the best of the 3, #2 the second best and so on. Also Start the link for it to sound at the key part of the track. The best part of the track. Don't make them wait for the GOAT. Sacrifice you GOAT.

@@MayenMusic My music is blend of pop and house. I actually have a song coming out next year. Would love to hear you feedback? I would prefer to send it to you by email?
I was wanting to know if you can do it the old fashion way and write a note and mail a CD demo to labels..you know through the mail? Do people still do that? Is that a thing??
To be honest. If you send me a CD chances are that I don’t have anything in my house to listen to it lol. Not being negative, but it would better to send a card with a code to your music online. It’s hard since people are always on the move and CD players even on laptops don’t exist anymore.

It’s possible if you do your own arrangement to it. But, I think they will ask you if you have your own material later on, so it would be great to be prepared :)
I just had a listen to your music. I think that in order to send it anywhere you need to build a track longer than 3 mins. They need to see if it works in a set.
You need a platform where they can play your demos right away. You want to make it as easy as possible for the label to have a listen. I hope this helps. Would love to listen to your music.

Hi Mayen
Thank you for the tips ,Is an attached track with the E-mail is suggested ?
Dj Moskitto hi, good question. Send the SoundCloud link. So they can listen to it right away. Don’t send attached tracks unless you are asked by them.

should you send an EPK?
Good question. I think for sending demos is not necessary. If they ask for it yes. But, wait for them to ask first.

Is it good to send demos via a drive link?
I would consider the easier for them to listen to the music the better
