- On this ride, I'm joined by 16 of my fellow HOG Chapter members as we journey to Port Dover Ontario to take in one of the largest single-day motorcycle rallies in North America. Friday the 13th on a good day can attract over a 100,000 bikers. This year the Ontario Provincial Police estimated attendance of over 50,000 bikers. Not bad for an October day.

It started off cold but having heated gear helped. the afternoon warmed up which made it more comfortable riding.
So much fun! 17 of you is a good number...I guess I thought you were closer than 4 hours...hey I see a Spyder in Port Dover!
Hi Jody, the more direct route is only two hours away but who wants to travel on the highways when there are a number of beautiful back roads you can take a make the ride there and back more fun. Wayne Craig and JB were there earlier in the morning where as we rolled in shortly after lunch.

Great video here, loved the Largest in the world - for a one day rally, and glad you got your pin, did you get the Port Dover one? Too bad I didn't see you there, I had an eye out for York Region HOG LOL Ok so you need a checklist when you ride, save you going back home LOL

A nice warm day I see. Hahaha. That looks like a real nice turn out. Do they do it just for fun, or is it a fund raising event for the local community? I didn't see Gloria/ Harley Gurl in this video, but I am watching her video next. Good Job, Dave.
The history of this event was organized by a group of friends who wanted to stay connected back in the late 70's. so they all agreed to come back to Port Dover on every Friday the 13 to meet up. Then each year more and more people joined in on the concept until it grew into what it is today. The largest one day rally in the North America and some say the world. Local charities set up tents and sell T-shirts, food and drinks along with other swag. Hope this helps, cheers Dave
@@HarleysDinersRides It sounds AWESOME! Hopefully, I can make it up there for the event sometime, and ride with great Canadians, like you. It sounds similar to how VAMM started. It was MrG1965, The Blue Bike And Doyle, and TennRides. MrG and Doyle weren't saying anything, so I started letting others know, that set a fire under their feet, too. Now, every year we see more, and new, people. We love riding with all y'all. Everyone of you is fine folks. Ride safely, my friend.
How did this tradition get started?
It all started back in the seventies when a group of friends decided to meet up in Port Dover on any Friday the 13th for a meet up. Over the years the number of people attended until today where on a good summer day your can get up to 120,000 attendees.
