    There are numerous art forgers the experts love them make money out of them. The work of the masters never dries up / I wonder why they keep on appearing and the experts say they are genuine because they make a fortune out of them and do not question anything enough. Greed is always the winner.

    I am fine art restorer MA.Excellent copiest ( so i was told and proved).All life living modestly but never was tempted to attempt any forgery.Never signed or faked stretchers etc.This man is talented artist but greedy without morale .Fortunately for him he was sourrended by ignorants including art experts working in famus galeries..Now with carbon data and use of other media fakes can be eliminated but so called experts and dealers are not up to date to science and technoligy.

    It doesn't take a genius to make a poor copy. Seriously--representational figurative art is much easier than it seems to a non painter. Tony Turdtro here rips off other people's designs and paints them in such a way as to appear as though someone used an airbrush to fill in a Bouguereau coloring book. He has no modern conception of paint handling, his line work seems incidental, and overall the guy has absolutely ZERO creativity. He might as well be head developer of the CBS drama department. He is crapping on art so that people who make absolutely graceless and detached projector copies can all pat themselves on the back and rake it in from the rubes. In reality, even at first glance any spiritualist can see the difference (spiritualist being a category which includes everyone with the proper spirit and eye; everyone from ancient cave painters, to arabesque tile niche designers, to George Inness, etc.). Capitalist painters only wish to copy outmoded styles, which is truly not as difficult as it seems to someone with little-to-no painting experience--especially if they, like Tony T here, rip off poorly painted pieces from people like Warhol and Basquiat who are famous names and abhorrent gimmick painters (must be his perfect starting point), not that his classical rip offs are of any value. My suggestion, if you want to look at art, is maybe give your eyes a break from this hack style of painting which puts the "plastic" into plastic art, and look at something truly elegant and beautiful like a John White Alexander painting, or something guttural and real like a Soutine. People need to stop basing their concept of art upon what the entertainment industry tells them.

      They can do stuff with the paint that will help them date it, yes.

    • @garyedwins3256

      Tony Tetro is just a genius when it comes to reproducing works of art. Does it really make a difference whether or not the artist he is reproducing is dead or alive ?

      You are missing the point which is if you fake a painting by a living artist then that artist can say I never painted that as is what happened with another famous forger David Stein having sold three paintings to a dealer who then showed then to the living artist.
      You are talking about the present I take it.
      My comment related to the past and to how Tony was court.

    • @garyedwins3256
      @garyedwins3256 10 лет назад

      Signing the artists name on the painting is wrong on all levels. If an artist were to reproduce the artwork, he or she should make it their own meaning change the colors or change it to make it their own.

      People who paint Marilyn for any reason other than to poke fun at the cult status of the dumbest forms of celebrity are CLOWNS. And copying from Andy Warhol is possibly the least creative thing I have ever heard of. But at least you gave it to an appropriately talentless and flashy guitar player. Fitting. And by the way, it's spelled governor.
