You made a pretty cool video with this absolutly great rig´s. I like the agressive front of the GX, looks like an angry samurai! But also the Fj is awsome! Go on an do some muddy, an overlanding movies!!!

Watching your videos makes me want a GX but comparing your driving to your buddies it always seems he sends it and it's solid but you baby it a bit more and it looks a bit shaky. I started watching your videos to get a comparison between the FJ, GX470, and the 4th gen 4Runner. What are your thoughts on the stability of your steering and suspension components? I take extreme care of my vehicles but I do like to really use them and have fun
Okay so I have been considering getting a gx470 for quite some time now.. I would love to get a similar set up to go overlanding. Could someone tell me some of the lesser known benafits of the gx470 compared to the other big overland SUVs/trucks?
Thanks! I think there are instructions online on their website. I just lined it up where I wanted it, then drilled the corresponding holes. It comes with self tapping screws but I actually went and bought some small bolts, washer and nuts to secure it better from Lowe's.

Basically solved what bugged me about that hitch/tire carrier. Do you have a write-up or DIY on it?
I do not but basically we just welded a hitch extension onto the back of the hitch for the ultra wedge to work properly.

What year FJ is this? And as a enthusiast are there certain years of the FJ you would prefer?
It’s a 2010! I would personally go with a 2010+ for the bigger rear axle and updated engine.
