0:08-0:30 The struggle is real Kirk, the struggle is real...
Vəıuı it’s clearly fake but it’s fucking hilarious hahah
Struggle Within lol
Damm james' s vocals on orion were amazing!!
Applebee's Alien you sir are funny
I know right
Actually I like Kirk's solo on St. Anger
your joke was so funny i forgot to laugh
I prefer Jason’s bass parts of AJFA…
St. Anger had potential, it really did. Hearing them do it live makes me want to hear them redo that whole album.
Live in studio was actually pretty good, and they added a solo to some live songs and it was really awesome.
The guys wanted to try something new, that wouldn’t be for everyone. And it’s definitely not but it served its purpose. Try to take all the albums that you that they have that you don’t like and forget everything they came before and listen to them with New Ears and you’ll discover things that you’ve never heard.
@Brian Siler you said it. I rediscovered Load and Reload when I started with a longer commute to work. 30 minute drive is plenty of time to try new music.
Oh and put the discs(if you have CDs) on shuffle. That’s way more fun
@Brian Siler exactly, i am 36 now, and my god Load is a monster of an album!!!!
@Brian Siler pretty much!
Street Anger!
***** lolwut
***** no tenia tiempo, ahora tengo y no quiero subir nada. Deja de seguirme por dios.
C'mon metallica should do a concert of every song that hasnt been played live!!!
They've pretty much all of them
JoshLikeCrazy no they haven't. There's still plenty of Load, ReLoad and St Anger songs to still be played. Hell probably enough to play a couple unique sets
***** ronnie rising medley how about that one ?
JoshLikeCrazy They have a list in their site of how many times they've played every song. There are a shitload that have never been played live or just once or twice.
Yeah like the rising medley and eye of the beholder hasnt been played in 27 years
Always blows me away how clear and clean these guys play...Musical Brilliance.
Maybe someday they should play the three Unforgiven songs, it would be epic, playing the 4 instrumental songs (Ktulu, Orion, To Live is To Die and Suicide & Redemption) it would be epic too.
That would be soooo awesome to hear all 3 Unforgivens and all the instrumental songs in one concert! That's an awesome idea! Hell, that's only 7 songs! And Metallica usually plays 18 songs each concert! So they would have 11 other songs to play! Definitely would be a kickass set!
5 instrumentals including pulling teeth
I would love to be there when they play all the Unfogivens in a row, that would be epic!
Did you know that Anesthesia is also an instrumental?
+JoshLikeCrazy it's though because Rob struggles to play it.
ORION FACTS:
✤Cliff Burton's performance of this song is regarded as one of the best of his career. The song was played at his funeral on October 7th, 1986
✤ James Hetfield has the notes for the bass part in the middle of the song tattooed on his left arm.
✤ Orion, (named after a constellation) as parts of the song evoke a night sky. Lars Ulrich called it "Nine minutes of ever-changing, mind-provoking weird-and-wonderfulness."
✤Burton had cited "Orion" as one of his favorite Metallica songs, along with "Master Of Puppets." He had a big part in writing the song
✤Its one of those songs that wasn't captured live with Cliff Burton
Thankz For Information....Robert L.
I reacted exactly like Kirk when I saw the setlist. Where is Ride the Lightning? Why isn't on the list? Who didn't vote for Ride the Lightning? Tell me right now!
xD
Hahahaaa!!!
Fukin' Unforgiven II
Fukin' Saint Anger
@@waltuh11121 Fuckin' Dave Mus-
It's great to see how St. Anger has been voted many times for their shows. People finally see how great of a song it is.
I don't understand how an imstrumental song can speak so much. Pure fucking gods.
Trujillo slayed it Orion... He'll they all killed it.... Great performance.... You guys made my might.... Ty metallica
It was raining during the Orion performance!! It was Cliff that heard it from Heaven.
he was pissing? crying? sweating? idk
Well said
Just admit it guys. The unforgiven 2 is an AMAZING song.
TheMoris it is
I like it
My absolute favorite Metallica song.
I love it! They really should play it more.
@@danielbeckman6742 My second favorite ("Mama Said" is first)! 🤘🤠🤘❤
I gotta say St.Anger has definitely aged well. Though it is very different than their first 5 albums Metallica was able to channel a lot of their emotion into St.Anger, I can really appreciate it for that reason
FINALLY. St Anger getting the credit it deserves.
He finally gets respect
🤣
It's trash. The lyrics are aight it was the snare drum
It always pissed me off that everybody talked shit on st.anger, the songs were ok, they just were going trough shitty times and that affected the quality of the songs, and also that annoying beer barrel
@@captaincharisama94 agreed. 🗑🗑🗑
Honestly, if I was onstage with Metallica on those sides there, I don't think I would headbang because I'd be in too much awe that I'm standing on the same stage as Metallica to miss a single second of it!!
Our lives won't be complete until we hear all of the unforgiven trilogy in a concert or two. Dissapointed that people didn't pick The Unforgiven II in the concert. But I am so happy that they showed the rehearsal footage, their first time in years and Kirk has been redeemed. THANK YOU MOT GUY AND THANK YOU METALLICA.
Kirk is fucking hilarious when he's "pissed"
Made me spit out my soda!!
I can remeber every rain drop from this epic gig. Thanks guys, it was AWESOME!
Thank you for uploading these videos MetallicaTV, It's good to see Metallica giving their all!!!
I saw Metallica live for the first time in 94 in Charlotte, NC with Candlebox and Suicidal Tendencies. Probably the best show of my life. All the bands were amazing and we hung with the dudes from Suicidal all night before the show. Some of the nicest guys ever!
I love Metallica!!! I heard them the first time when I was a young girl! Now I'm nearly 37 years old! ;-) I think I will hear this music also when I'm 80 years old! ;-) I can only say it's always a great sound! I love the guitars very much! I like also the "speak-voice" of James Hetfield. Very nice. But all are great! A really good team! I'm always waiting for new songs! :-)
3:31 props to the camera man. Perfect timing when Robert grabs a pick of the mic stand.
Play the unforgiven 2! Kirk needs redemption!
The fail on that time shocked kirk so hard he wont play it again xD
I přes ten déšť úžasný koncert a nádherný zážitek! :-)
20:38 pure 83 james voice right there!
It comes out on special occasions
xXXExiledXXx dem random flashbacks xD
0:40 fucking Dave Mustaine right Kirk?
ahahahaha
"Fucking Day.." The day that never comes I think
LOL.
ZI BE fucking death magnetic susposed to meam
Holy SHIT what an awesome album.
If you've followed Metallica long enough, seen them live enough times, and are a guitar geek like myself, you don't need anybody to tell you what song they're about to play when James Hetfield busts out his green-flame LTD baritone Viper. A.k.a "the Grinch". Lol. Love that guitar.
Whiskey ?
@@shred9475 St. Anger
guess the fans like how St. Anger sounds live and they started lovin' it :D Suprising amount of times played this year
St anger is a good album just bad production
I always liked it yea the snare can be annoying but a good album their most emotional.
Might have only been a couple of minutes right at the end, but seeing them at least play The Unforgiven II brings a massive grin to my face.
UNFORGIVEN II! Hoping this means they'll make it part of the setlist on their next us tour. Such an underrated song
omfg! Robs bass tone is the most wonderful sound ive heard all day. damn sooo good in my headphones!
I wanna hear them play the unforgiven 2 :(
watch the end of the video
oh, haha didn't see that but i still wish they could play it fully one day.Thank you for pointing that out (:
I don't think he needs two chinas. Keep the one on the rear of his kit and replace the front one with a less abrasive sounding cymbal I reckon
THANK YOU MOT GUY FOR THE ENDING OF THIS VIDEO!!! I was so disappointed that Metallica didn't get to play it on stage, but atleast me and the rest of the Metallica Family got to see them playing it in the tuning room! Thank you sooooo much!!! You are the best MOT guy!!! :)
I have no words to describe how AWESOME this concert was 😍🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wow!! Who'd have thought that an instrumental song could have so much meaning?! :) just awesome!! :)
Right. It shows how great musicians they all are.
Amazing band, simply the Best
+Manuel Sánchez youre right
"I'm a hell of a bassist, believe that" Roman Reigns
:-)
hahahaha im not a good bassist im not a bad bassist im THE BASSIST
I am the table
Jake Baker The Dudleys will be coming for you..... if you're a table
hey
Glad they are playing Ride The Lightning on this tour! They have been killing it.
this is by far the best "Met on Tour" video
I waited for these two last minutes for many years... Thank you for this footage, it is gold worthing
Finally I can hear IT! Thank you very much MetallicaTV !
and the footage from the gig is so good
orion is so amazing live! plus i miss their craziness.
3:59 I just love how Lars's double bass!
I love how even though its raining, fans showed up. Those are true Metallica fans
Love the improvement on the production quality of the fly on the wall footage...Great stuff, cheers!!
oh wow st anger is being voted a lot these days
Orion in the rain.....Amazing and Emotional. R.I.P Cliff 🤘
ORION....absolutely perfection l love this song so much.....
It was amazing!
Thank You Metallica!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU..... MOT GUY! For those of you Unforgiven II fans watch this until the end.
Whenever I get full use of my left hand , I hope and inspire to be able to play as good as the great caliber type you guys have become over the years.. I had a guitar and traded it in to get my daughter her own guitar that was mostly pink and white.. she was raised on your music no lie since crib days when I would just put on an album and put it on repeat and she'd only wake up and cry because the unforgivens and Nothing else matters was pretty slow compared to master of puppets and battery.. so it's ingrained into us both to instantly know that Metallica was playing anywhere we go whether it be on a juke box someplace we're at or someone's store bought album on cds playing.. We absolutely love you guys and you have kept us moving to that insane tempo you guys have created and played. I'm recovering from my broken leg I had surgery on and damn knee keeps buckling on me when I walk so it's hard to get around these days to even take care of the house since I can't work with this unpredictable knee at the moment atleast until I can rehab the knee tendons to strengthen them enough to function normally. Until them I'm forever jamming to Metallica on repeat!!!
Tuning room も好きな曲ばかりでした。St. Anger も好きです❤️🔥
How am I only now seeing this video?! This is awesome! Many thanks for posting this!!
I was there and it was GREAT!!!!!!! Hope see you soon Metallica! #Metallica #rain #aerodrome #bestofbest
Thank 'Tallica for these video!
That's a beautiful sounding bass!
Whenever James brings out that guitar, you know something from St.Anger is coming.
woaww... unforgiven II :') \m/
hope it will be live sometime sooner !
Wow man "orion" sounds amazingly good
Telecaster style guitars especially ones with the single coil pickups in them are so underrated in genres outside of what they're known for its criminal
I think the was the best live performance of Orion ever
I would like to hear "Mama Said"... that's a rare track... I guess... ...I think Metallica should start doing concept concerts based on their previous albums... and this concerts are raffled by the band... for example... Metallica have 9 studio albums... so they shoud choose 9 countries around the world... and they would play the whole álbum chosen for that contry in that specific country, plus some other new songs... that would be amazing. Greetings from Mexico.
Won't it soon be the 20 year anniversary of Load? They did a special black album tour for a similar milestone...maybe they'll do something for Load?
úžasný koncert ! :)
Thank you for including Unforgiven II footage at the end! So bummed it didnt get played
lars cut the double bass in st. anger again
That's no surprise, he has been since the Madly in Anger With the World tour back in 2004. And IMO, the double bass covered the sound of the awesome guitar riff, so I actually like it better without the double bass. But hey, everybody has different opinions.
Nice one fixxxer!
I was there :P And it was awesome! Love you METALLICA
Oh my god why not Unforgiven 2 ?!
They played it only once live..
They did it in 2015 a couple of times
15:20 this is what you're looking for
youre goddamn right
No
St anger sounds great on live!!
Dyers eve!!!, Dyers eve!!!, Dyers eve!!!, Dyers eve!!!!!!!!
St. Anger is freaking awesome. Its a their heaviest album
hey people, please vote for a triple unforgiven show
Oh my god!!! Thank you for The unforgiven II !!!
:DDD
I love them more and more every day
Can't wait for footage from Poland! Please, post so preshow like here!!
When we came to the show, it was sunny weather, Alice in chains and Bodom was a summer trip. Metallica hit the stage with the rain, and the raining stopped by St. Anger, the last song :)
unforgiven 2 22:12
I love st. anger. I done care what anybody says. It is an awesome album.
Enjoy every concert and video, we don’t know if it might be the last
Lords of Summer sounding tiiiiightt!!
Still a great band
Prague you had one job. One fucking job. :(
I'm just hoping they will at least do a few rare songs in the future. I think they know the concept had a little fault in it. Everyone was going for their most popular songs they wanted to hear and then just a few rare ones... So I hope in the future we will hear some rare shit.
One day can you guys play all 3 unforgiven's in one super long song?
Thx for the Unforgiven II footage! :)
It's good when the band play St Anger. Pefect time to have a piss and go to the bar.
What a shame I didn't make that one, hope they're back here and in shape next year, not missing it again.
This show was so awesome! I was wet as shit but man...worth it :D
What about "Mama Said"? :(
I would love Mama Said. My favorite song on Load
Yeah, there are many great songs on Load/Reload. I would love to hear Where The Wild Things Are live, but i don't think that is happening... :(
JoshLikeCrazy or 2x4 is one of the most 'Tallica underrated songs
I want The House that Jack Built live.
Fixxxer and The House Jack Built and Minus Human would be awesome Live!
Wow, you don't see James holding a telecaster-shaped guitar very often!!
Pretty impressive the tone he's getting and it having single coil pickups in it they are a criminally underrated guitar
Siempre es bueno escuchar ORION. Estupendo tema! El 30/03 en Argentina lo tocaron en forma aluscinante!
God damn, I'll be waiting for Unforgiven 2 in 20 more years peace.
Thanks to the assholes who didn't vote for it.
Can't stop watching it, perfect! Thank you, MOT guy! Lol!
Awesome stuff 🤘
Ride the lightning is one of the greatest song
Voted for St Anger at Knebworth. Glad to see another gig voted for it.
