Oh these will be really nice sewing kits. Very good quality. And cute too. You are a great shopper, always finding great prices on quality items. I buy those buttons too at DT. Even at $1.25, I think it’s a good price. And I love the mixed colors one. I love that they are various sizes and styles. I use buttons all the time, not only in sewing kits for shoeboxes, but in my crochet projects and as embellishments in my cardmaking and scrapbooking.
Thanks Val. Yeah, I think the buttons are still a good value at $1.25, too. I prefer the colored button selection, but when I went to get more buttons they only had the dark ones. Although I kind of like the mixture of the two. TFW 🥰
I love how you used a calendar to wrap your box! I am going to use that idea. I am new to your videos. I have been sending shoeboxes for about 5 years. ❤
Hi Trish, Thanks for sharing your sewing kit ideas. I include a similar set of items for those who may want to sew not just mend/repair. I have used organzer bags and large snack containers to pack some of my kits. I also like to add embroidary thread. BTW, I found sewing kit pouches today. One read, "Who are you calling a fat quarter?!" ... Yes who indeed!😁
Great video! I don’t know how to sew or what you need!😕 I have bought a few sewing kits for my 2022 boxes! Now I will be making my own! I’m so proud of you for including your Amazon wish list! I pray you get many blessings! Thanks so much for sharing!💜💜💜
Thank you so much Dawne. I really appreciate your support and I’m so glad to hear you will be trying your hand at making your own sewing kits in the future 🤗
Thanks. I’m looking forward to putting them in several 10-14 girl shoeboxes. I hope they fit easily enough with everything else I’m stuffing in there. 🥰
Fabulous video as always. Great ideas. I was thinking Velcro when I was watching. Might be fun if they make a little purse or doll clothes. So many options for a sewing kit. So blessed to get the zipper bags donated ❤️
Thanks, Stacy. Yes, Velcro would be a great addition. Also, a 7” zipper, which I forgot to mention in case she has a broken zipper, so she might be able to replace it. Someone also reminded me of elastic. I will likely include wide elastic, so it could be used as a waistband, since I am sending fabric. Yes, so many options.
I enjoyed seeing this Trish! Much needed! This definitely wasn't elementary for me lol 😂 It's nice to see what those who sew would pack! Thanks for sharing 💖💖
Fantastice sewing kits! It takes a little time to put these all together but once you do it will be ready to go when you need one! Woo hoo! Thanks for sharing Trish!
Thanks, Denise. Yes, it is definitely cost effective if you’re going to send multiple kits, as I am. They turn out to be better quality, overall, than the kits I have included in the past, plus I can pick and choose what I want to put in it 👍👍.
Thanks Robynn. I am still having a hard time with it. I couldn’t even announce it at the beginning of the video. If you noticed, I thought I was being incognito sticking it at the end and I strongly considered editing it out altogether. I’m such a ninny chicken 🙄. Well, at least I know you watched until the end 😂. Thank you 🙏
Great video, Trish! 🥰🪡🧵🧷📍✂️📏 Glad to see others adding their wishlists also! It gives others the opportunity to help pack a shoebox, with you! ❤️ You are such an inspiration! TFS! ~Rosy
Thank you, Rosy. Yes, I am so excited to be able to continue building quality shoeboxes with the kindly help of others wishing to spread the love ❤️. I can’t wait to see where this goes. TFW 🥰
Wonderful! Vundabar!! Huzzah!! This is LOVE! This is sharing the gift that is sewing & our savior Jesus in the same sweet box! I love that you took the care and time to make a higher quality kit with the same basic budget. Good on ya! And I can’t wait to check out your Amazon wish list! What a great way to include us in your boxes! So very special.
@@byrdfeed9071 😂😂😂 confession time! i do have a sewing machine but i only used it to sew a pillowcase, maybe 8 years ago, and never touched it again!!!
Great video, Trish! Perhaps one day I will create sewing kits. It's just easier for me to buy the premade kits and adding extras. lol But I love this. Love the IPSY bags. And WOW, I can't believe you got those quality scissors for 50 cents each! And I like that you added the pins in the metal tins. A lot to think about. Thanks for sharing, Trish! 🧵
Thanks, Sharon. Yes, it is definitely easier to just buy a premade sewing kit, that is for sure. I’ve done it many times. I found some online a couple of years ago for $3.50 each (shipped from China). Last year I found some at shein.com for $5 and I think they have some this year at that price, as well, but if I don’t buy enough for free shipping or I don’t catch them during a free shipping event, then they’re not so cheap anymore. So I decided to go for it and make my own bc I hope to include more kits in 10-14 Girl shoeboxes. Now I just have to fit them in the box with everything else 😂
Great video, Trish! Sewing kits are so useful and you make “assembling” them so easy and fun. Especially for those, like myself, with little or no sewing experience. Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to see the kits in your future unboxings! 🧵 🪡 🧷 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for your video. I've been buying supplies to make kits. I'm going to split up the needles by putting them on pieces of felt or putting them in small containers (I miss the old film containers from years ago). I may add elastic to some kits or small cording for drawstrings. I bought magnetic tins at Dollar Tree (before the price increase), but I don't remember if they came in sets.
Oh elastic!! I forgot about elastic. Thanks for the reminder. I should include that, as well. The magnetic tins are a good idea, so they don’t lose straight pins. 🥰
Yes, elastic is a great thing to include. When I include fabric I typically include 1 inch wide elastic for a waistband should she want to make a simple skirt 🥰
Nice kits! I’ve got quite a few little mending kits for when I’m tight on space. The Dollaramas up here have got some nice kits for under $5. Not sure if I’ll have room for them this year though 😆
I can't sew. But I sometimes consider packing sewing kits. So thank you for this video about what to include.
Thanks Elena. I hope it helps you put together some sewing kits 🥰
What a sweet and thoughtful gift item to include in those boxes! Thanks for sharing your blessings.
Thank you so much, Erica. I really love making these sewing kits for the girls.

Thanks Kim. So glad you found me. This year I’m going to wrap a box with a Transformers calendar for a robot themed shoebox. 😄
Thank you so much! I’m working on 16 hussifs for Christmas gifts next year, and all this info is invaluable!
Wonderful! So glad to hear the video is helpful. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🥰

Really grate sewing kits!! Lots of great tips on what to send!! I have poked my fingers plenty of times before 😅!! TFS and Crafty hugs ❤️🤗!!

@@byrdfeed9071 thank you so much friend 💗
Sooo glad you did this video. It seems I am being led to do a more substantial sewing kit this year. Good to compare for ideas. Extremely helpful!
Oh good, so glad it was helpful. I am going to do one for a fishing kit, too 🎣
awesome!!! I am planning on adding sewing kits next year. This was a great video--Thank you!
You are welcome. I am so glad it was helpful. Thanks so much for watching 🥰
Very nice sewing kits!
Thank you, Tracy. I tried to think of everything that she might need. Everything, but the sewing machine, that is 😂

Saw some at Dollarama here in Canada,… they were $4.50 plus tax and didn’t have much in them! These are great!
Thank you. Everything is getting so much harder to find at a good good price anymore. TFW 🥰
Hello, you said you have an Amazon wishlist but I can't find the link. Thank you for this video and all that you do! 🥰
Hi Ali. Thank you and you’re welcome. I had an Amazon wishlist for OCC last year. I do not have one this year, so there is no link.

I love it. Blessings 😊

Try Temu for some of your supplies.
Yes, I’ve already got some sewing supplies in my TEMU cart, Shein, too. Can’t beat the prices 👍👍
