- Join us on a special assignment in Singer Island, Florida as we explore the ultimate aluminum catamaran from ACI Boats. The "Catatude" is the newly released 34' Warm Weather Lumacat from ACI Boats in Port Townsend, Washington. This all welded aluminum catamaran is powered with twin 300 horsepower Mercury outboards that provide an economical cruise speed and impressive torque to get this boat on step quickly. The Catatude's large fishing deck is complemented with a spacious cabin complete with a wrap-around settee, an expansive countertop with cabinet storage underneath, bolster style seating for passengers and the captain, and a forward berth with hanging closet and step-down head and sink. The interior is finished with Awl-Grip to give this boat a yacht-like interior finish and all the decking is covered with Raptor decking. This one-of-a-kind boat is such a complete package it will likely turn into more-of-it's-kind in the warmer climates of the US!

Wow…Love the design.
Thank you! Cheers!
Dude is gonna crush it with that boat in Florida. Solid design, looks comfy, gets everything you need.
We think so also. The layout kind of offers everything. You could even enclose the cabin and add A/C, or heat for northern climates, if you wanted. All around great design.
It's weird to me more florida boaters don't have aluminum boats...especially seeing how much they run aground, lol.
@@shaynelhta Haaaa…lol! A lot of the law enforcement boats are Safe Boats and Lifeproof boats and they are all aluminum. They seem to do fine in warm water environments.
Beautiful blend of function with style
Thanks for watching John 🙏
My favorite boat ive worked on so far!
She’s a beauty!
growing up fishing in Alaska, ive been on many Armstrong Catamarans, they definietly have the CAT figured out!. if i had a half a million lying around, i would buy a 34x12
Right on Joseph! It’s the daily beatings running through chop that gets me in Alaska. These cats just sail right over it for a super smooth ride.
Man, that is one sweet ride! I've been thinking about this boat ever since you did a video of it at ACI. This would be perfect in Eastern Canada or the Great Lakes in a "Cold Weather" version. Thanks Rob!
Hey thanks Duncan! It’d be so easy to enclose the back bulkhead on this boat and heat the cabin. I really like this new layout and these cats blow through chop and are so stable. Really nice ride!
I agree Rob. Plus, your review was spot-on. Perfect video timing, speed and coverage. Thanks again.@@live2boat
Would love to have one of these here on the Big Island. Seeing this in Florida definitely peeks my interest.
One of these would kick ass over there! When we were in Maui last year an older Armstrong pulled in one day that has been a dive charter for years there. Still in great shape and working as it was intended.
Do we have ballpark #s for an equivalent unit? North or south of $500k?
@@live2boatthank you!
love the boat, I would like to see more about the joystick control especially in docking situations.
That’s a great idea 👍
I saw this boat on sea trials in Port Townsend
This is close to what I spoke about in my comment to you a few months ago. I know you referred me to ACI about this, but if they could sexy up the profile and block bow it would be a sure winner. The aluminum's custom feature is awesome; it looks like this guy got what he wanted. I am in FL, so a warm weather version is what I need too. Do you know the weight of this one?
Play show was great. How much does it cost?
Very, very nice. What's the weight difference compared to the same thing but in glass?
One detail I'm surprised they didn't do is the frame less windows. Would've added that extra bit of luxury.
That’s a good question. Not sure why the owner didn’t go that route. ACI is installing frameless glazed windows on most of their boats now. They look so sharp!!!
I think a little bit lighter than glass
Love the boat for SoCal, what is the price range for something like this ? 300K, 400K, 500K ?
I think the higher end of that price range. They are building a SICK 42 footer for San Diego right now. Give them a holler at 360-385-1203 if you can.
How is it going to be with all the lightning strikes down there? Any different than a fiberglass boat?
That’s a good question. I haven’t heard anything that would indicate that they get struck more than fiberglass boats. I’ll run this by some of the aluminum boat builders we work with and see if I can come up with an answer.
Thanks for the tour. Don't tell the East Coast the benefits of aluminum hulls
what is coating is used below the waterline?
Not sure I’ll try to ask them 👍
Cost?
What about electrolysis that everyone talks about? Aluminum boat in salt water?
Sacrificial anodes buddy. Tons of aluminum boats on the west coast. We own one also.
No fish boxes?
Customer didn’t want them. Uses a cooler instead. Total possible though 👍
are you saying that the mid deck between the engines, is first on their boat? Nope, about 4 years late. But maybe first on an aluminum cat.
Never fails the second I say something like that…LOL! Thanks for watching though. Definitely have never seen it here before but we might as well be on Mars out here in the NW 🤪
i want one with inboard diesel jets
That’d be a sweet setup. Email info@aciboats.com to see what’s possible
500k I could have one like that too haha fuck me im so fucking poor even making 6 figures. Haha 😆 absolutely beautiful boat!

That is not dive ladder, thats just swimming ladder, dive ladder don't look like that
Oops…sorry bout that…I need to check out a dive ladder 👍
That guy is too tall for the interior. Suppose it could be made taller.
I’m a tall drink of water at 6’6”. The owner had the height of the cabin cut down a bit, I kinda like it..makes the boat look more sleek and
trim
