I would say and this is just a personal preference but I feel like the updates are actually pretty important. New emojis the security features, and other cool and advanced additions you can get when downloading iOS updates.

@tinashechilima7600 The X does not have the newest update, and the iphone 8 to iphone x isnt that much of an upgrade other than face ID and no home button. you should probably get an iphone xr thats like $10-20 dollars more expensive, it has ios 17 too. But in my opinion id probably just buy the iPhone 11. Its really cheap and is a massive upgrade from iphone 8!!
You should’ve bought a iphone 8 or 8 plus coz this phone does not even have face lock + it has the same processor as the iphone 8 and 8 plus and the battery and the camera are the same as the iphone 8 plus the gamming experience is same as the iphone 8 (not to meantion iphone 8 plus is more bigger)
Even though iPhone X has stopped getting more iOS updates, this is still a great phone to buy if you don't care about the newest iOS. :)

just upgraded to the 13 in 128 GB coming from an 8 plus user and I have to say love my phone so far I think it was the best purchase I've ever made. 👍
I got an iPhone 6 plus and then upgraded to the 12 pro but the iPhone 6 plus wasn't worth it 😢
