Honorable mentions from underrated bands I love:
    - Cemetary - An evil shade of grey
    - Mercyless - Abject offerings
    - Brutality - Screams of Anguish
    - Necrophobic - The nocturnal silence
    - Cancer - To the gory end
Agreed on Deicide. The self titled is so fucking agressive and evil that it scared the shit out of me to the point I couldn´t handle listening to it in the beginning. The track crucifixion is amazing.

    Cool video!
My favorite album on this list is Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten. I love Suffocation. I saw them live last night! I'm from NYC and saw Frank's last NYC show. In my opinion, Suffocation should have Cannibal Corpse's status. I don't really like Cannibal Corpse. I find them boring. But I respect how albums like Butchered at Birth helped define brutal death metal. The big 3 bands that invented brutal death metal are probably Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, and Suffocation. But it took Cannibal Corpse and Deicide 2 albums before they were really brutal, especially in regards to vocals. Suffocation was brutal right out of the chute. And I just think they're a way better band than Cannibal Corpse.
I think a lot of bands on this list hadn't really found their sound until their 2nd album:
    Cannibal Corpse
    Deicide
    Immolation
    At the Gates
    Cryptopsy
All of these bands' vocalists found their voices on their band's second album. Another band/vocalist that this is true for is Vader.
At the Gates is the only Swedish death metal band I like. Just not into the Swedish sound at all, old school or new school.
There were 2 bands on this list I was not familiar with: Demilich and Disembowelment. I probably wouldn't like Disembowelment, but I'm gonna check out Demilich.

Hi guys! I hope and wait for another part of this ranked comp. Well, I have some cool and amazing albums from this era and You guys maybe want to rank the following productions by these bands. For example : The very first full album of Therion
( ... Of Darkness ), Gorefest ( Mindloss ), My all time fav. Sinister ( Cross the Styx ), Konkhra ( Sexual Affective Disorder ), the brilliant Amorphis ( The Karelian Isthmus ), Hypocrisy ( Penetralia ), Atrocity ( Hallucinations ), Vital Remains ( Let Us Pray ), Monstrosity ( Imperial Doom ), Brutality ( Screams of Anguish ), Morta Skuld ( Dying Remains ), another brilliant band Gorguts ( Considered Dead ), the polish legend Vader ( The Ultimate Incantation ), the very old school Massacre ( From Beyond ), Benediction ( Subconscious Terror ), and another british band Cancer ( To the Gory End ), the mighty Morgoth ( Cursed ), another fav. doomy-death band Asphyx ( Embrace the Death ' cause this is the originally first record from 1990 but it came out in 1996 ), Grave ( Into the Grave ), the most sweedish sounding german band Fleshcrawl ( Descend Into the Absurd ), God Dethroned ( The Christhunt ), Necrophobic ( The Nocturnal Silence ), Desultory ( Into Eternity ), Seance ( Fornever Laid to Rest ), the mentally superb Pyrexia ( Sermon of Mockery ), the legendary Pungent Stench ( For God Your Soul ... For Me Your Flesh ), Illdisposed ( Four Depressive Seasons ), if we talk about Cryptopsy we can't forget the another canadian monster Kataklysm ( Sorcery ), Centinex ( Subconscious Lobotomy ), Gutted ( Bleed for Us to Live ), Thanatos ( Emerging From the Netherworlds ) the old school Cianide ( The Dying Truth ), Wombbath ( Internal Caustic Torments ) the very finnish Convulse ( The World Without God ) and also finnish Demigod ( Slumber of Sullen Eyes ), Impetigo ( Ultimo Mondo Cannibale ), Disastrous Murmur ( Rhapsodies in Red ), Nocturnus ( The Key ), Solstice ( Solstice ) the very unique Merciless ( The Awakening ) the phenomenal brazilian Krisiun ( Black Force Domain ), Mortification ( Mortification ), the fantastic Resurrection ( Embalmed Existence ), Anesthesy ( Exaltation of the Eclipse ) the most talented Sentenced ( Shadows of the Past ), Purtenance ( Member of Immortal Damnation ), Cemetary ( An Evil Shade of Grey ), and also Swedish Tiamat ( Sumerian Cry ) and many many more. And I have some superior stuff by numerous one hit bands from this period like Banished ( which formed from the band Baphomet ), Disincarnate, Carnage, Paralysis, Blasphereion, Miasma ( Yes! they make two releases, but damn the debut album is sounds like nothing else what I've ever heard. ), Burial ( from Netherlands ), Desecrator, Dissect, Excruciating Pain, Sickening Gore, Blackthorn, Mortuary from Mexico, Authorize, Morgue, Devoid, Accidental Suicide, After Life, and more and more and more... I know, this is a little slice of the genre, but very important for the real fans.

Speaking of death doom, since the debut also came out in 1993, I wonder how you guys feel about Paramaecium's debut, Exhumed Of The Earth. That record is still so heavy.

I would flip Cryptopsy and Demilich, simply because None So Vile improved on Blasphemy’s formula and trimmed the fat, whereas nobody has truly managed to replicate Demilich’s sound. Nespithe is in a league of its own.
    Otherwise solid ranking.

I hear ya. I think that’s where these ranking are fun. Ben and I don’t dispute each others S tiers. I’m with you though, if it were me Cryptopsy would be at the bottom lol
