Super helpful thank you Nina :-) I am definitely going back to edit some of the intros after learning a little more from you!

So glad I came across this, writing my first post and all of a sudden feeling like I forgot how to write!

I'm so glad the timing worked out! It's hard to adjust to blog writing if you haven't done it a lot. But it's like riding a bike - once you get it, it's much easier to just keep going :)

@@sheknowsseo thanks! I did have a follow up question, do you have any thoughts on the LENGTH of an intro? I am aware I can be too wordy sometimes. If I missed this in the video apologies.

@@Tiger_Smash59 I wouldn't write war and peace, but I also wouldn't do 1 sentence. Ultimately it's what works for each post. I'd say a rough average is probably 100-200 words. But I don't focus on the word count. I focus on the words themselves helping my audience

Thanks so much for reviewing our blog post, Nina! You were absolutely right -- we should have done a clearer job of summarizing the post in our intro. Appreciate your expertise. --Heather

So happy to help! It was a lot of fun. I think you've nailed the tone. Structure is easier to change than that in my experience so you'll fix it easily :)

Such great info here! And I love the analysis of real examples at the end. Regarding the SPEAR framework, do you have some examples of better ways to talk about the Search/User Intent that's not the lazy writing example of "Are you looking for..." I'm guilty of using this frequently and I don't like it. Depending on the subject, sometimes I come up with good alternatives but often I'm stuck. Either examples or ways to think about the subject that produces more interesting writing would be helpful.

Great question! Jamie actually just launched a free AI writer that is trained to do his SPEAR intros that you can try for some samples.
Essentially it's more about getting to the point quickly. In my recent Google algorithm leak post that went viral I basically just started two sentences is "The Google algorithm leak is this and started on this day". So they could immediately get the answer.
Think about how you'd respond to someone if they asked you the keyword as a question "hey, nina, what's the best way to spend 3 days in Rome?" "You'll need to plan a busy three days to see all the best things in Rome...."
      Does that help?

@@sheknowsseo Yes, thank you. I also loved the advice to write a voice note as though you're talking to a friend. When a friend asks about a place I've been I give the best advice, haha! So I think that's what I'll try first. Actually I tried the SPEAR framework AI first but it's geared to product reviews at the moment (he says they'll expand) plus it's giving me an error message. The other large value I got from this video is that it's ok to be more informal with my writing, yay!
