What does it profit a man to gain the world and loose his soul. This is what God’s family should look like, we restore and not just criticise.

I don’t agree with everything you do Dr. Bryant but, the way you zoned in on the significance of his ❤ posture and how God is calling him home, was beautiful to watch. The sentiment you made about Dante being mindful to give God the glory in your gifting and making sure your soul belongs to HIM and not false “hims”, was noticed. This is bitter sweet because I was a fan of his worship music. It’s hard to see a worship leader who fostered such blessings from his gift from God make a drastic transition. As a former fan, I still love him but, I still don’t see repentance or humility? I’m praying for him and I appreciate this interview.

I love Dante's honesty. I don't feel someone should be judged for doing their nails which is something that God doesn't even judge us on. I believe that we each have our own journey with God and no one knows how real and authentic our journey is unless they are us. Dante should be left alone to go his own journey and not be judged on if he doesn't religious activities and practices. Remember as men we look on the outside but God looks at the heart. The Holy Spirit is every where and moving every day and minute. He is with us and with Dante. I see that Dante is on a growth and discovery journey and a person's 20's and 30's is for that. It must be tough doing that with a spot light. So, salute Dante 👌🏼♥️💪🏽

I’m tired of the church bullying people because they don’t fit in their box of what a Christian looks like. God looks at the heart. No one is even giving Dante a chance to share his heart. He instantly is judged as being back slid or whatever the religious lingo is now. There is nothing in the Bible about nail polish or anything otherwise. No one can deny his gift and talent given from God. I don’t think that Jesus is offended by him pursuing his dreams. I believe Dante is one of the most misunderstood people right now. Listen to what he is saying about needing space. Don’t add to the pain of the church. The most powerful thing spoken in this interview, is what Dante said about authenticity. That is exactly what Dante is doing and is being judged harshly for.

My comment might not be the most received however I have to say it…I’m happy Pastor Bryant brought up the part about the ministry of Christian music. I guess I’m disappointed at how The recording artists of Christian music have become celebrities and there is no difference in them and those who do not necessarily claim to be followers of Christ. The lines are certainly blurred. We as Christians have assimilated to be like non-Christians and there doesn’t seem to be a difference anymore. I don’t know. I’m a 63 year old woman trying to understand all of this.

The punch line of it all, DON'T COME HOME BCUS IT DIDN'T WORK OUT. Your gift is a ministry not a business. Thanks for the pod, I got more interested in Dante when he had issues in marvick city. I now have a better closure of what happened. Yes I believe you like you said that your nude wasn't intentional but your actions seems like you were looking for a reason to leave but didn't know how to go about it.
Growing up as a child, I was raised in Assemblies of God, and I grew up with the awareness of Back-seat(it means like grounding a child for doing something wrong. When you are are suspended, you sit in the back, don't communicate in the church, be the last in everything. Now this is meant to make the person feel remorseful and repent) but I have seen a lot of people walk out of it in anger due to personality.family is family the must accept you no matter what.
Kudos to Marvick City, the decision was so hard on them, you won't understand it. If they had not done what they did, then a lot of us would have erred from a mistake to a continuous thing. Imagine we trying to explain to that adamant unbeliever that it was a mistake with no consequences.
Trust me if you had accepted the suspension, soaked in it and being repentful, you would have returned ten times better than you were. Are you teaching us not to accept corrections
I love you bro and I will keep praying for you More, pls come back home. It's a gift not a right and Fame. Even when the church hurts you what matters the most is the God factor.

My goodness, I prayed for Dante just this week because I know how he ministered to me at some point and I was really concerned because I wasn’t hearing or seeing him. I will continue praying for my brother.

Wow! This interview gave me so much more insight on Dante and his split from Maverick City. I didn't realize he is soooo young. To achieve all that he has at such a young age coms with A LOT of pressure--real or assumed dependants come out of the woodworks; everyone wants you to march to the beat of their drum; lots of conflicts between what your expectations and what you actually encounter; you're stilll figuring out who you are. I think this is why Dr. Bryant alluded to child actors looking for grown up work. Entering the industry so young and achieving the accolades so young has it's chalenges. He's still "finding himself." Dr. Bryant did a masterful job of sharing his observations and calling out the mature Dante (check the changes in Dante's posture with each of Dr. Bryant's questions). This was a classy velvet and steel interview. It reminded me of The Forge movie and impresses me to intercede for this young man more.

Thank you for loving all of God's people Pastor Jamal! I was wondering just today where Dante was. Didn't want to Google and get others opinions. Thank God you brought this gifted young man on your podcast and helped him feel safe! I love Dante Bowie and his gospel music. It has blessed me and so many people who were ready to give up. I pray Dante takes you up on your offer. I believe he will be so happy there if he wills❤️🙏🏽❤️.

This is so sad to watch!! He's loved, talented and gifted has written and performed amazingly graced songs. This brother is spoiled, immature and selfish to the core: of course all issues that God can heal and change with prayers, teaching, renewed mind and good mentorship. I pray he enlists the help soon, he has a depth he'll never reach of he doesn't change. God help us all

Continue to pray for the saints, that our crooked places be straightened. There is so much going on in the church culture I love pastor Bryant, because he may have some issues. But he is not misleading folks, just honesty and trying to minister to everybody and giving to the poor (say that again) the poor. When you make it about other people's wellbeing you are doing the work. Sending prayers and blessing to both of them.
