I do this too, but i use melanin leave in conditioner. It's drastically decreased my splitting ends and I'm retaining more length. Thanks for making this video, glad I'm not alone!
I can attest that Lotta body works. I been using it for year now on my wet styles for curls n my straighten hair for moisture so she not lying about it. I normally use olive oil greapeseed oil. Its a 2 n 1 which is a heat protection n protect n shine product. I will try the jojoba oil you referred n see how it works. Another moisturizer is TGIN (Thank God It's Natural) butter cream. A little gose a long long way. Both can be use on wet n straight hair. Love yo video girl. 😊
Thank you for sharing. I’m a straight natural but I didn’t know how to moisturize my hair while straight and it broke a lot and I’m not retaining length cause I have to keep trimming my hair cause of breakage and split ends. I’m going to try this, thank you!
I was just looking through your videos (recent subscriber here), and another moisturizer that might work for your hair is the one from Melanin Haircare that Naptural85 made. I straighten my hair often and this doesn’t revert my hair no matter how much I put. Just another suggestion in case you wanted to try others. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I just bought it after reading your comment. I love naptural85! How often do you moisturize your hair with the product when your hair is straight?
The first ingredient on this is water but I tried anyway bc ppl said you gave good advice. Straightened hair ruined. This stuff made my hair curl in seconds. Smells good though; will use for wash n gos
Now this is what I’m talking about! Thank you so much Gyal! This is very helpful👏🏾🌹 I’m just starting to regularly straighten my hair... tried curly for a while to get it healthy and a little length... This maintenance video is so KEY! Many thanks again, take care & be well!
Very helpful, thank you! :) I was using a cream based moisturizer to moisturize my straightened hair but it reverted it a little bit. I will definitely try out the lotta body!
Yes it will be a trial and error thing but remember using too much at 1 time will cause that same reaction. If you’re going to be doing this routine daily you don’t need a lot each time.
Thank you for this video👏 i just flat ironed my hair using your tips. Now I'm running out to purchase the lottabody to retain length. This girl is underrated for sure. Thanks.
yes i lm gonna try this straight thing for a good year or so perhaps, so i’m here for tips because i know this not the same as when i moisturize my wet curls
To prevent reversion, you actually want to use a moisturizer where the first ingredient is NOT water such as Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream. In this product, water is not the first ingredient..
Deep conditioning has changed my hair alot than i moisturize it with a moisturizing hair lotion a cream based heat protectant and a lil bit of hair grease.Thats it lol i do this every two to three weeks.Any humidity any type of moisture the curls are back in action and it takes me nearly 4 damn hours to do my entire head i have quite a bit of hair and its very kinky, coily, and curly so the shit takes time if i want the press to last.I take my time.Coconut oil and water is and will always be my my friend!
yes, i can't do anything too wet but i also don't want to use heavy creams and oils because i don't want to weigh my hair down too fast either. as with everything tho when you find something that works for you stick with it!
@@KuteKawaiiKitty when I straighten my hair, I'll use a tiny amount of this with some castor oil on the ends. I usually do this closer to wash day cuz when I wrap my hair at night it makes my hair a slight bit oily.
Beautiful hair! Glad I found your video! My hair reverts no matter what leave in or hair milk I use. Going to try this. Love Lotta Body! Thanks for sharing! 😀
How do you moisturize you scalp? My scalp gets dry and flaky when I straighten my hair bc I don’t moisturize it. Do you have any product recommendations?
Right. I’m having the same issue and I have tried many different shampoos for moisture, I deep condition after every wash but it seems by the 5 or 7th day my scalp with start get itching and flaky and I have to wash 🤷🏾
I'm Honda try the cream after I straighten my hair. I'm old School so I'm gonna get my hair straightened with a straightening comb, moisturize it then braid it & throw my wig back on & leave it alone so it can grow
Thank you so much for your video I normally don't straighten my hair I normally wear it in wet styles I probably have straighten my hair this year twice for the entire year and don't plan on doing it again but I was having major issues with dryness while my hair was straight even the first day I straighten my hair and it was freaking me out because the wet styles that I do on my hair I always keep them moisturized and some kind of way in my hair is always stay moisturize.💕💗💕💗💕💗
THANK YOU SO MUCH for adding the name of the products on the bottom of screen. So often, people just quickly hold the bottle up to the camera to display product name, and the words are backward and impossible to read sometimes!! Lol
When I was relaxed I used both a cream and oil to moisturize and seal. I use to stretch my relaxers so I would do 3-4 months but on average I think 2 months would be healthier for you because you should have enough new growth where you’re not overlapping on your previously relaxed hair causing damage
Two things: if the edges and roots aren't straight then the hair is already reverted or was never fully pressed out. Also, wouldn't it make sense to brush the product thru rather than rub it on the surface with your hands?
I have used Shea butter on straightened hair before, I found it too thick for my hair so it gets weighed down very fast. Also butters are more of a sealant for my hair vs moisturizer
Blue’s hair was unkempt though. You could tell it wasn’t brushed, dry, etc. you can have healthy AND unkempt hair. I also think that’s weave, which there’s nothing wrong with that, but you can see the difference in textures.
NOPE! FAIL! Lotta Body reverts straighten hair. I guess that's why she only put a smidge on her ends and not her crown which is where my hair is the driest. Off to try another video where the girl recommends ORS hair fertilizer and videos herself applying it generously to her crown.
You saved my hair...I had no idea I could moisturize with straight natural hair! Thank you doesn't seem like enough...
