Her family ended up with her but she was such a broken child she could not speak. They gave her up to an orphanage which if you know Russian orphages are not nice places. She was the lucky one - her 8 siblings all died thanks to her drug infested streetwalker birth mother. This Angel of a lady working at the orphanage adopted Diana nurtured her and seeing she had speaking difficulties put her in singing lessons. The rest is history and the power of music.
