I am a fan of Diana's and yours..I heard this song before any other and it blew me away until Derniere Dance woke me up again and managed to bring me back..Diana is a force of nature that can't be matched she is enchanting and spellbinding..She takes you away into her vocals and captivates you until she places your body and soul back down to Earth leaving you wanting more..
Diana does not have only one "face" (one personality or musical expression). A new song, a "new" person and a new musical performance.
And I like that about her. Of course, her unmistakable voice and art on stage. Diana is not only a singer, but also an artist.

Well, I was more ...shocked by Wicked, since it was her first performance i heard, but i was completely mesmerized by this, which is, i'm sure, the Best Scenic Performance ever done by a 14 years old singer on this Planet. As I said, no matter what language she sings in you get drawn in. You feel emotional even though you don't know the story. And I remember the first time I heard this and made everyone listen to it, because I didn't have the words to describe it.
Diana is a one of a kind. Truly, and this song is much more than a song as Diana performs it. She is like an ancient Shaman commanding the river's flowing spirit. One of her best for sure. When I see Diana in her performances as a very young kid, and see her pure joy in performing, it all makes sense. Diana could be an incredible actress if she was so inclined I think also. After hearing this for over the 100 time, I'm still blown away by the talent Diana has. She is the Goddess of her craft and has ye ability to take you on a journey. Her sound is so rich and warming, reminds me of being a child. When I was scared my mother would hold me to her chest and tell everything was alright, I was safe. That strange rough whispery voice is her mother asking why she's not happy; the rest is her describing her sad situation. Yes, an *amazing* and *powerful* performance! And to think that she was *only 14 years old* when she made this!

I got really emotional and amazed! she was only 14 when she performed this song! she also has had a hard and abusive childhood, until she got adopted. There is a story on it if you Google it. It was a masterpiece, a tour de force, some say the best yodeling performance in the history of videos showcasing yodeling, but in this performance it wasn’t just her amazing yodeling but also her body movement and stage presence and incredible as this might sound ( and I’ll shortly explain the reason why) but NOT ONE CHAIR TURNED!!!!
After the song was finished and the judges turned around , the audience interrupted what they were saying by giving Diana a 5 minute STANDING OVATION. After the applause, the judges had her perform a segment of a French song made famous by Edith Pief and after she sang it , the lady judge covered her face with both hands in utter shock , disbelief and SHAME. The judges said they didn’t press their buttons because they couldn’t teach her anything. She was beyond their level already. But this turned out to be a BLATANT LIE and one of the worse scandals in Russian talent contest history. Because the following day it was revealed that the contest was “ fixed” the winner was “bought” before the show started. A total travesty of justice and revealing how corrupt this Russian kids show was at the time.
And the following days over 80 million who watched the contest when posted on RUclips spit on the judges.
But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests.
Please ( when you get the chance) I BEG of you to at least privately react by YouTubing “ Diana Ankudinova yodeling”.
And you’ll witness a yodeling masterpiece and if you stay to near the end of the judges commentary ( making excuses and lying) you will hear a brief portion of the French song the judges asked her to sing that she NAILED!
And there is a video of her outside a mall at age 11 singing this same French song but the complete version and she KILLED IT!!!! And when you’re convinced that she’s one of the best female vocalist in the world ( like millions of others including myself) you may want to react to a couple of her newer songs: ( she just turned 17 the other day) like “by your voice”.

She’s now almost as popular as the great male pop-op vocalist Dimash. And has her own Facebook fan club. And rumor has Diana and Dimash will perform together one day in the not-to-distant future and when it happens I can assure you when the upcoming concert is announced, it will be SOLD OUT in less than 20 minutes. You're hearing the song, but also seeing the performer and the stage production. It stirs your heart and you feel the emotions of the song. Your brain is trying to process all of this information at one time. The angelic sounds you are hearing, the stunning visuals you are seeing, the emotions being invoked by the experience, Next thing you know is that it seems you've been transported to an ethereal place and everything except that performance fades away. You are transfixed by it. Then, all of a sudden, it stops! Your mesmerizing experience is not there and your brain is left going....Wait.....What?.....Who?....How did she?.....OMG! LOL.
