I already knew what the juries will say to me: your precedents seems interesting, but your project has no similarities with those, so it’s not helping you.🌚🌚🌚dead
This approach sounds great, and I quite like the idea of repeating the same graphics, like the circle, in the precedent and your own work. However, from the presentation I got the feeling that the circles were a bit forced on some of the references, and ultimately made it more difficult for me to see the relationship to your design.
I'm not an architect but a graphic designer and presentation skills are just as important if not more important then the design skills. If you can't present your work you will fail in the end.
There are popular schools of thought in contemporary architecture, and this approach presents as phenomenology with a typo-morphological veneer. I like it!
Good video. Easy to understand. I do construction and engineering design company. My back ground is economic. (I dont know anything just have imagination) .............How do i start to understand the architecture design?
Hi Dami, thanks for the quality content! One tip: There is a very noticeable 60 cycle hum on your audio recording... try applying a highpass filter on your audio to get rid of this! otherwise, keep up the great work :-)
so architects don't design buildings people like they design buildings that investment firms and corporate elites like , makes a lot of sense considering the state of architecture.
I really enjoy your VDO, It's really inspiring me as an Architecture student. Hope u gonna post more about this major. Thanks so much for your sharing.
so you should back your case up with things that worked in the past? then why are past buildings far more detailed and well designed than now . you dont see arches , natural shapes or facades . just bland nonesense that misses the point of classical architecture. there beauty in nature and physics.
Totally helpful thanks for sharing not just in words, but demonstration, elaboration & illustration of the moves made! Intelligible thesis submission here I come!🙏🏿💪🏿
when making a portfolio, would you recommend one on side of the page have an over view/ shot of the image. Then on the other page have smaller more detailed images, and have a description of the whole project.
There's really no specific formula for laying out your portfolio-that's up to you as a designer. However, having a page to preface the project that has the name of the project, a brief description (roughly 300 words max), and your most kickass rendering/drawing is a good start to showing off each project. You will want to follow that up with drawings that help explain the general narrative and spatial qualities of that project, and maybe dedicate some space to parts of that project that really showcase any skills you are particularly proud of exhibited in your process. There are plenty of vids with designers showcasing their portfolios where you can get some more ideas on that, and Issuu.com is also a great source of inspiration. Best of luck :)

You're saying that I should attempt a head stand at the end of my presentation? (jk, great video)
Headstand is the way to go 😁
I failed on my thesis book presentation last December. Hopefully, for my final presentation this year, I'll redeem myself. Thank you for this, Ar!
Good luck!
Headstand is the best archi hack
Great video! Would like to know if you recommend adding the case study in our portfolio? Thanks a lot.
