DUDE I was so confused on what my lecturer actually needed and she isn't very good at expressing it herself This cleared up so much I now know exactly what I have to do. Thanks! ~H
I'm quite close to my deadline after such drawing and sketches my professor just told me, I'm wrong and I should start from begging which is site analysis , don't know why I'm terrified but I will continue to the best my ability , thanks for your videos it was quiet clear and helpful :)
Harry i know these follow up questions can be a lot of pressure. Either case i hope you are doing well man! Im close to my deadline now and i hope i pass too. My prof said my design needs to be justified!!! And my site analysis part is lacking!!
I never thought that so many information could come from just site analysis! I am so glad that I now know how to fully utilize the information I gathered from a site analysis. Sadly, our instructors never taught us the importance of site analysis or how to use it properly. They only told us to do it and get it out of our way. But after watching your videos, I think I can improve a lot of my future designs, and I can’t wait to take what I learned from you and implement it into my work! Thank you so much, Kyle! You are such an amazing teacher, and I can’t wait to learn more from you. Keep up the videos for us architects!
thank you so much for being this resourceful, and full of good advice, and kindness! it really helps to hear the crit you've received from your professors as well. i love how you're so full of enthusiasm to take us on your learning journey with you. it's very valuable, and the work you do is admirable.
I'm glad I watched this before I actually go for a site visit. Thank you! Our professors just keep saying do a site analysis without actually teaching us how to do it when we are actually there.
I loved watching this video. Thanks a lot Kyle. My design lecturers won't teach us much about what we're really to do, just a design brief and a deadline for our jury. Thanks again.
This is actually really helpful...most of us are confused about such things and just can't find a way out and I get stuck...this is very informative... thanks!
Hey, i'm talking from Brazil, i'm doing a Learning Center for Deafs based on DeafSpace concepts. Right now i'm doing my analysis site, and your video was so great! I loved! I'm inscribed
Bro! Your channel is gold. I have a BSc in Planning and Design (not architecture😢) but all this information is just refreshing and takes me back into memory lane.
zuppss brooo!! the last work you've said was the soul of architecture, you really catch my attention and it inspired me to start my site analysis for my thesis, thank you so much!
what an incredible video. have a site analysis to do for uni of newcastle 3rd year project. you're going places bro, its your passion and interest that stands out.
Thanks so much for the video -I'm glad I didn't see this video after years .I had encountered the problem you stated at the start of the video-and thanks for sharing a way of making site analysis interesting and helpful.
Thank you so much for these videos! As an interior designer nobody teaches you how to do site analysis in a professional setting and this has been great tips!
although I'm a bit late, I would like to thank you for this bunch of information. I learned a lot and I became more confident about what I should do with my site analysis. Thanks bro.
Amazing and very helpful. Since you started with the site analysis!! Can you please do part 2,3,4 for the next steps of preparing for a project. Like precedents, research, conceptual approach, plans and etc. that would be even more helpful
Thanks Aya! That's a great idea. I already have a few similar videos out, on finding concepts, drawing sketch plans etc but I think the next one will be on precedents. Cheers :)
Awesome, i was so confused to what to do and what not to, nd ur video helped a lot to clear them off, thanks a lot for such a good explanation keep up make more of such videos for us students hehe
Great video and I have learned a lot from it 👏🏻👏🏻, Can u put the presentation U’re using down in the distribution box, I was trying to read ur comments on each step u did, but I couldn’t because it was blurry to zoom into it.
Thanks a lot Menat! I can't unfortunately, as it's a university project and there's issues around copyright/plagiarism. Sorry, but hopefully what I shared in the video has helped you out! Cheers
Hello. I found your video very helpful. I was wondering if you could advise where to go to learn about wind direction and sun-tracking for a project. Thanks in advance.
Thanks a lot! For wind direction, in Australia I refer to the Bureau of Meteorology. A simple google search for "wind direction Adelaide.." or wherever can find good sites. For sun tracking, A great way is through modelling software with geolocating tools like Sketchup or Revit. Otherwise, a sun diagram can be found online too by searching "sun diagram Adelaide" etc.
Thanks Arthur! It was a simple google search. "[Location] sun path / [Location] wind rose". There are a lot of weather sites that provide this information in graphs/diagrams. Hope this helps.
While I credit your idea. I really doubt planning would allow a primary entrance to be off the reserve. Please don’t take this as criticism; I’m just a planner with a different take on the site analysis.
I use In Design for documents/presentations/folios like the one shown. If I'm just doing a couple graphics or illustrations I'll use photoshop/illustrator.
@@kylesinko so when making the site analysis the site map was that previously like that with the tree etc or was that edited by yourself Also I very much appreciate your response I’m currently using indesign for my architectural portfolio and just want it look as professional as possible but my Adobe skills are lacking Your videos have been great help for it 👍🏾
Hello, I just want to ask how did you make the map? I'm asked to do a Site analysis for my homework but I want to start with a nice picture of the map in TOP VIEW, just like how you portray your site on the map. Right now I only know google maps or google earth, but taking a screenshot from them doesn't produce any aesthetic unlike yours. Hope you can make a video of it or comment down what process or application you used T_T Thank you!!
Check out my site plan course for photoshop: ruclips.net/p/PL8evaQZnDGAf4etP0dRlNyykNwBvZvdjv It walks your through the process to creating that site map :)
sun-direction.com seems like a good one for sun paths. Your local weather site will provide a wind direction analysis too. Just search up "wind direction [location]". Hope that helps!

Thanks Arthur! It was a simple google search. "[Location] sun path / [Location] wind rose". There are a lot of weather sites that provide this information in graphs/diagrams. Hope this helps.
