- This is the most underrated hike in Yosemite and offers spectacular views of the valley and Half Dome. Heading to Indian Rock adds another 0.6 miles to the trip but is well worth it. While hiking on the trail, the way detouring to Indian Rock is obvious. When there, it's a great place to eat lunch with a view!
This hike round-trip is 9.4 miles. It is only available when Tioga Road is open, which is determined by snow levels. Here are the historical open and close dates: www.nps.gov/yo...

The rocks take you around a much easier route - not recommended on the way down but definitely on the way back!
Great video!
On my next visit in Yosemite, I will do this trail.
Thank you for Information.
Great video. Plan on backpacking in this area soon. Thanks!
I binge watched your Yosemite videos. Very well done and great information! Will you be creating more videos for your channel?
Hi - not sure if you see these comments anymore but I was wondering if you could tell me how far it is from the Porcupine Trail head to Indian Arch Rock, from the video it did not look like a hard hike but just wondering. It also looks rather flat until the end (can you let me know about that too). Thank you so much!!!!
